EHREDT CONSTRUCTION

I really wanted to use Gene for my deck project based on many positive things I had heard about him. Initially he responded quickly and came to give us a quote. He had very creative ideas and suggestions, presented himself very professionally and we really liked him. He was a bit slow to get back to me with the quote and then again to requote when I picked a specific material. The pricing I thought was extremely competitive and was not an issue. We were given a timeline of when our project could be fit into the schedule. I have no idea what happened. I never heard from him again. I finally left a message that we were canceling our project. I was so disappointed. Maybe I jumped the gun. I am very confident he would have done an excellent job had it ever actually got off the ground. But it is a sticking point with me to just leave someone hanging.

We got 3 bids for this addition and Gene was the most affordable and friendliest of the contractors. We were adamant about finishing by a certain deadline and he was very aggressive in accomplishing this completion date despite the unfortunate weather at times. It was February and I remember seeing his crew shivering on the roof trying to get the job done even in the freezing cold. He helped us with the design and layout of the rooms and made some amazing suggestions that I would have never thought of (Ex. Combining the laundry with our master walk-in closet, genius). He was patient with me as I was picky in some areas like the bathroom having a separate shower from a soaking tub in the limited space. Every single member of the crew was incredibly friendly from the plumbers to the electricians to the painters. Gene was also wonderful in taking on additional work that would arise outside of the original budgeted plan and was very reasonable with pricing (new siding on the original house, adding a new sink in an existing half bathroom, flooring in kitchen, etc). He took the time to add special touches like storage cabinets in the laundry area and high end bathroom accessories without even mentioning it was included. We couldn't have been happier with the results and I would recommend him and his crew to absolutely anyone!

He also took the time along the way to review and ensure we were satisfied with the project. We were very pleased with the amount and quality of the work that we received for the price. I wouldn't think twice about using Ehredt Construction for additional projects. Thanks to the whole crew for the professional and beautiful job!

I contact them to see about getting estimates to repair damage that hurricane Sandy did when it came through our area. I left a message quickly outlining the damage and left my name and number. 4 days after leaving the message, they have never bothered to return my call.
