He also stayed and helped with 2 add on projects that we 'never seem to get to'. I had a question about one of the repair last night. He answered my 9:30 pm text and showed up promptly this morning to make the needed (small) adjustments at no charge, as well as, checked one more thing I asked him to. I like working with people that are honest and easy to work with and good at what they do. His promptness was greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs the world's greatest plumber!!

 + -1 moreHe ran the shower for a few minutes and there was no noise. Am I the only one who thinks that $250 is a lot for a simple 30 minute visit?
Description of Work: An outside faucet makes a bad chugging sound. My shower head was making a high pitched noise. I wanted him to also check the tub drains since I already needed a service call. He scheduled an appt. for two days after my contact. Once he arrived he said I should wait until the spring to work on the outside faucet. (I agreed - it is well below freezing.) He was prompt and courteous. He removed the restricter from the shower head and cleaned one tub drain. He briefly checked the others and they did not need anything. He recommended I use a calcium remover on my shower heads but he did not have any in his truck. He at first suggested I get a new shower head but did not have any with him. He gave me good advice on how to get one on the internet and answered other questions. He was here for 30 minutes. His fee was $250. I paid it immediately and without discussion but I think that is a high a fee for the services performed. In fact, his blurb here on Angie's list says his fees are low.

 + -1 moreI called Joe and left a message with my issue. He called me back shortly later and I explained the issue. He asked me to take pictures of the leak and send it to him. I did and he called me back with a price of $450 and explained to me the issue. We set up an appointment for 2 days later. He showed up 10 min EAR:LY, introduced himself, then went to work. He was done in about 45 min. He charged a little more than quoted, but he found an add'l leak, so the extra $45 that he charged was well worth it. I found Joe professional, competent, friendly and honest. I would recommend him and would certainly use him again.
Description of Work: Had leak under bathroom sink caused by a bad crimp, he cut off crimp and installed aT using a cooper T and replaced tubing and put in a shut-off value under the sink.

He thought for new installation with pipes exposed his labor might be in the range of $500-600, and under $200 for parts. Now I better know exactly what I need.
Description of Work: I called for a quote for a new install of a slop sink in our daughter's Philadelphia home. Joe will be out of town during the time we need installation before we visit. I definitely want my daughter to note his contact information for future use. He was extremely helpful explaining what I needed and what I don't need. He explained that I am not looking at heavy gauge sinks and suggested Mustee brand which is cheaper than the Amazon sink I was considering. I wish he would be around.

He even allowed me to send pictures of my hot water heater instead of having to arrange a visit before the install. This was extremely helpful. As soon as I told him we were ready to he got me a price and set up a time only 3 days away. He arrived on time and was extremely nice- he explained everything and finished everything in just over 2 hours. Very happy with the work, Joe and Bernie were very nice. Highly recommend and will definitely do business with him again.

Joe looked at a couple things that I thought might need replacement or repairs and after he inspected things he said he would not do anything if it were him. I really appreciate it when providers recommend leaving what is in place instead of replacing things that aren't broken and charging the client. Overall, I would definitely use Joe again.
