Window Specialists

Work was preformed with a few problems that were worked out in the beginning but problems have come up since. I did not complain about my siding buckling or windows fogging but my roof leaking is the last straw! Shingles have a 50 year warranty if installed correctly but 16 penny spikes driven right through the shingles is not covered. This is a wrong practice used in a situation that did not need to happen. Now that I have let Rich (the owner) know of this problem by leaving to date 3 messages with no response I write this to warn others. My next step will be the BBB and the state attorney general.UPDATE:After two months of calls and emails I have been told I have no claim because labor is only good for one year.Forget the fact that they drove 16 penny nails through my shingles then put dabs of tar over the nail heads to seal it from leaking.My 50 year warranty is no longer valid because the brackets were suppose to be ATTACHED UNDER THE SHINGLES! Should have been no problem since it was a brand new roof. To be clear this work was done in 2003 but to me work that is done in such a way to void a warranty is no excuse to tell me I should have climbed up onto my 2 story house to make sure the job was done correctly! I paid a LOT OF MONEY to have my work done,but would not recomend Rich Delpercio or his company for any job he thinks they are qualified to do. I do not know how to attach photo's' but come by and I'll give you a tour of their work and I'm am almost positive you'll chose some one else.

Windows were installed correctly but not insulated properly and the cladding was sub-par. While the crew was working on the windows my parents (who are on a fixed income) asked the owner if they could recommend a good roofer and were told "We do roofing". My parents who didn't need a new roof but wanted to update the look of their house before they couldn't afford to, picked out 50 year dimensional shingles thinking that they would be the last shingles they would have to put on and opted for rubber roofing around the window dormers. The installers did such a poor job that from the first rain there were leaks. My parents called and a service man came out and unloaded a tube of caulk on a couple of spots around some window dormers. Another rain and there was rain dripping out of the recessed light fixtures in the kitchen. My parents called again. Another tube of caulk or two were administered. This seemed to fix it for a rain or two... I went over to look at it for them, the next time it rained and found that on the last visit the repairmen placed bins and buckets to catch water! the reason there was no noticeable rain coming in was because if was being gathered by the buckets and bins and it wasn't until they overflowed that there was evidence. The owner stopped taking my parents calls after they called to tell him that a 4 foot by 9 foot section of shingles slid several inches down the roof. When my parents were being ignored they contacted the shingle manufacturer to see what could be done. They were then told that Window specialists were not certified installers and there was no warranty. My parents then contacted the states attorney general to file a formal complaint. The company sent pictures of someone else's home in as evidence saying that they did what they could but the home was in bad shape to begin with. In the 35 years of ownership of this home they never once had a leak in the roof until this company put this roof on.

Our salesman, Eric, was professional, informative, and went to lengths to ensure we would get an entry door that would meet our needs. He even provided a mock-up of our selections to help us envision what they would look like as part of our home. This greatly helped us make a final decision. Installers arrived on time and well prepared. Upon entering our home, they quickly got to work to prepare the work site taking special care to protect all surrounding areas of the home. Not only was the door installed to our specifications, but attention to all the details was given. The installers were friendly and professional, ensuring that our complete satisfaction was achieved. We highly recommend them as we have used them for window installation as well our entry door, and all results have met our needs and satisfaction.

I have never worked with such a dependable group of people! Eric Eakin is an amazing gentleman to work with. He came right after I called and worked with me to choose the windows explaining everything - I was amazed at the price for such quality products. The windows and door came in ahead of schedule (Eric was here to meet the delivery truck) and they came the next day to put them in. Eric came everyday to check on the work and even helped to install the bathroom windows. George and Tim did a great job installing the large windows working around a rain storm. They cleaned up better than I could have! Eric returned my calls promptly and followed up on everything immediately! I actually missed having them here when they finished. And THEY even sent me a thank you note for the business! The company does so a variety of remodeling work and I can't wait to plan the next job!

Fantastic! I couldn't be happier! Melissa came first and knew her products inside and out, we were so impressed with her we decided to hire them right away. She answered every question we had, and we had alot but she was very patient with us and didn't try to pressure or hurry us along. The whole crew was extremely friendly, professional and knowledgable!! They were very, very neat and cleaned everything before they left. We were very impressed with their punctuality every day and care taken with our valuables. We added a box window in the kitchen and it was so beautiful, inside and out. We love our new windows and would gladly recommend this company to anyone looking for quality windows and quality workmanship!

Overall it went well.

The workmanship on the front door was excellent. We are very happy with that. We are in a dispute over the installation of a window right now but they are coming out and I feel the issue will be resolved.

We received a number of different quotes from many companies for everything from vinyl to fiberglass windows. Bryan gave us a quote for both Thermal Industries vinyl windows and Pella Impervia fiberglass windows. Since we decided to go with fiberglass, Bryan's price was the best for what we were looking for. He even beat Pella by several hundred dollars! We received timely messages regarding our installation. We only had two issues with the whole job. 1) We had to receive the windows directly from Pella (wish they could have taken delivery and just brought them with them when the came for the install!) 2) The install crew did not completely clean up after themselves. They left all the packagaing from the windows laying all over my basement. And, they left my front door wide open the ENTIRE time that they were there. I would use them again but I would hope their install crew would be a little more respectful and clean in their work.

The installation guys were great and overall did a much better job not only wit the exterior aluminum, but also of general cleanup than the people who did our vinyl windows. The end product is great and fits perfectly into the rooms that have a lot of old woodwork. There were a few problems. The installer really glopped on the caulking in the most noticeable spot on the outside. Also, there was a scratch on the outside of one of the windows. Richard came out and looked at these and re-caulked the window right then. He also ordered a replacement for the sash that was damaged, free of charge (including staining). This was all great. The stainer who was a subcontractor was also very professional. The issue here was not necessarily his fault. There was a lot of old woodwork and it all had faded to various degrees, so he selected a stain color that he thought was a good match. He put some on as a sample and I thought it looked good, so I okayed it. After the windows were done it looked a little light and he asked if I wanted another coat done to darken it up. The original estimate only accounted for one coat of stain so it would cost a little more money. I said no and said he could leave. As it dried it got even lighter and when my wife saw it, she wanted the stain to be darker, so I called WKS back. This is where the responsiveness came in. It was tough to get in touch with the right people to get a resolution. In the end I was able to get the stainer back and he did a wonderful job with the second coat, but it took a lot of discussion on everyone's part and took around a month to resolve. It was not cheap, but given the end result, everything looks great and very well done.

BRYAN NEVER CALLED ME BACK. I CALLED WINDOW SPECIALIST'S OFFICE A NUMBER OF TIMES OVER THE NEXT TWO WEEKS, BUT BRYAN WAS ALWAYS 'OUT OF THE OFFICE.' NO ONE EVER RETURNED MY CALL. VERY POOR. WINDOW SPECIALISTS WASTED MY TIME AND BORDERED ON BEING RUDE. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THEIR LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM AND RESPONSIVENESS. IT IS AMAZING THEY CAN STAY IN BUSINESS WITH SUCH SUBSTANDARD CUSTOMER RELATIONS.
