He had one Angies’ review that really slammed him but I found him to be so nice. When we do our bathroom, he is the guy that we are going to go with. He actually fixed a toilet that was running while he was giving me a quote. He didn’t charge me anything to fix the toilet. The toilet was perpetually running and I think it was bothering him. So he just offered to look at it and he fixed it. He was very punctual. We just had to put the project on hold for about 60 or 90 days. He hasn’t done any work for us and so I can't speak for the quality of his work. But I found his professionalism on the service that I received to be nice. He responded pretty quickly. I got four quotes and he was either the most economical or the second most one; his price was very good.
Description of Work: DJM Construction gave me a quote for doing my bathroom. He also fixed my toilet.
Dave and his crew worked with us over several months and helped us convert our "builder's basic" patio home Into a beautiful home. The workmanship was very good, and they were very quicorrect tweak things. People will not believe that our upstairs used to be arranged a different way. You can not tell that there used to be a door where there is now a wall. They did an awesome job with the skylights and, again, they look like they have always been there. All their work was high quality! Dave and his crew are very nice and polite, and I would recommend DJM construction to anyone.
Description of Work: Dave and his crew did many jobs for us. They were flexible when I changed my mind and gave nice suggestions. We had them finish our basement, install skylights, and move an entire wall to change our upstairs floor plan. They also re-tiled our master shower, installed electrical and plumbing items and matched wooden railings perfectly. They also installed hardwood floors in a small room. They put a floor in the attic and installed pull-down, walk up stairs to the attic.
Throughout the process, Dave & his crew were flexible, attentive to the details, as well as our wants/needs. During the process, they kept a very neat/clean workspace, which is very important to us…particularly when we’re trying to use other areas of the basement that are connected to the workspace. In the end, we have a well-built bathroom and storage area that looks wonderful. I would not hesitate to call Dave for any future work at my house, and strongly recommend that others consider him & his company for upcoming jobs. I didn’t know Dave before this job, but intend to keep his contact information for future projects I have planned at my home.
Description of Work: Dave McGeary and his company, DJM Construction, worked with us to build out a new bathroom in our unfinished basement. This work included moving rough-ins, framing the new bathroom and storage area, laying floor tile, and installing a corner shower, sink/vanity, and toilet. The $7250 was the cost of labor and materials. If I was to estimate, the labor end was about $3900, but I'm not 100% sure. Could be a little more or less.
Since we were at our wit's end trying to find someone competent to install our floor, Josh at NuHeat was so good about supporting us with our floor installation after we had purchased the heating mat from them. He recommend the DJM company for us. They came and bid on the job. Each day, they arrived on time and worked hard. You would not even know that they were there. The workers were all very polite. After the flooring job was finished, there was still the remainder of the work that the former contractor had abandoned. Dave, the owner of the company, asked if we wanted them to finish the job for us-drywalling, plumbing work in the basement bathroom, etc. We were happy to agree. They were willing to work with us in order for us to meet our budget. They were like a breath of fresh air in that they were reliable, dependable, professional, honesty, and intelligent in regard to what they were doing. Since our home is an older home, remodelling presents its own set of challenges. We purchased a fixer upper and have been rehabbing it for nearly 25 years. We have seen contractors come and go. Do not expect to get good work for free or nothing. The prices are reasonable for the work that is done. Just as the old adage says, "you only get what you pay for". We have no regrets after hiring them and only wished that we had found them 25 years ago.
Description of Work: After our original contractor deserted us by announcing that he was no longer going to continue, we were between a rock and a hard place. This particular contractor had been on the job by himself for 8 months and worked agonizingly slowly. We paid him time and materials rather than a bid thinking that it would be more cost effective for us. We couldn't have been more wrong. The job went over the time limit and over the budget-big time. We did not know who was going to step in and help us finish the job with the amount of money we had left and a reasonable amount of time. The project that DJM finished for us was to level a basement floor, install a heating mat on top and then lay a flagstone floor.

We had plumbing work done and the previous contractor had to remove part of the ceiling to get to the plumbing. The ceiling was installed in the 1960's and was a dropped ceiling made of cardboard tiles, so we were thinking of replacing it anyway. We obtained multiple quotes to replace the ceiling with drywall. DJM was in the mid price range and gave us multiple options for ceiling types and ideas on replacing the "tacky" wood paneling in the living room. Work started on time and the contractor worked with us on the date because we were leaving to vacation right before they wanted to start (and didn't have time to move all the furniture out). The original plan called for just removing the wood paneling and replacing with drywall on one wall in the living room, but when they removed it they found all the original woodwork around the baseboards and windows. The wood paneling had just been glued to the woodwork. The plaster behind the wood paneling was in bad shape and there looked to be water damage around chimney, so they removed the plaster (mold was found and was also cleaned up by them). They plugged all the holes around the chimney to prevent further water seeping in. The original plan also didn't call for electrical boxes, but we had them installed as well. To save on money they instructed us (free of charge) on how to strip the wood and worked with us to get the color to match the other woodwork in our home. They had to replace some of the wood pieces of the window frame and did a great job matching the style to the existing window frames. The previous homeowners also painted over the existing wallpaper in these rooms. The wallpaper "bubbled" up where there were cracks in the plaster, so they showed us how to remove the "bubbled" up wall paper and mud over it so that the wall would be flush. My wife discussed this Dave while he was writing up the quote and he offered to help my wife free of charge. They even sanded down our work while they were sanding the joint compound on the dry wall they installed. The only complaint would be that while they were installing the drywall they marked up our wood floors (they are pine so it is quite easy to do). When we spoke with Dave he offered to fix them by doing a light sanding and putting down a coat of polyurethane for free. The floors look even better than they did before and they even plugged some gaps between the boards.
Description of Work: Remove cove molding and ceiling tiles in dining room, living room, and entry way. Reinforce wooden grid into ceiling joints, install dry wall, tape, finish, and prime. Crown molding was installed in the living room and dining room. Removed wood paneling from one wall in living room. When the wood paneling was removed the original woodwook was still there so that was removed, refinished, and replaced. The plaster behind the wood paneling was in bad shape, so that was removed as well. Install insulation, drywall, tape, finish and prime. The previous contractor didn't install electrical boxes when the wiring was replaced, so those were added to the ceiling in the dining room and entry way.

We got estimates from three contractors before the first job. We selected DJM partly based on price and partly based on our impressions of who we thought we would like to work with. Dave and his crew were great to work with and we had them do the second bathroom without hesitation. They gave us a detailed estimate that clearly spelled out what they would be responsible for and what we would be responsible for and they stuck to that. The amount we quoted above does not include the items that we bought directly such as tile, tubs, vanities, fixtures, etc. The price cited was primarily for labor and construction materials. They did the job quickly according to an agreed-upon schedule. There was never a mess even on the demolition days. Dave and his crew of two were easy to work with. We will call them again for our next project.
Description of Work: DJM did 2 separate bathroom remodels for us in close succession. The original 30-some year old bathrooms were completely redone. We used ceramic tile to replace linoleum floors in both.and used ceramic tile to create a wainscoat and tub/shower encloser in one bathroom. In the other we used a pre-made tub/shower enclosure. The vanities, tubs., toilets and fixtures were all replaced(furnished by us).
Dave was always prompt to the estimate and responsive to my calls. This was a demanding project as it required building the space to standards exceeding typical residential construction. Dave and his team were incredibly flexible, accommodating and professional. The did what they said they would do and were excellent throughout the process. Every wall and ceiling was insulated with multiple layers of insulation and sealed throughout for soundproofing. Interior walls were built using double wall construction. The job was completed on time, and there were no gaps in when they started and finished. This is not so typical in my experience. Often you can lose crews for days at time. But, they stuck with it and got the job done. I am looking forward to the next projects with Dave that include alterations to an entry way, along with other projects. Don't hesitate to hire Dave. Great all around.
Description of Work: Dave and his team did a great job on my recording studio room in the basement. They performed light demolition, significant insulation and sealing for sound proofing, electrical, drywall (tape and mud), door, and priming. They also assisted with installing a washer and dryer in which required special cutouts in the wall to accommodate the venting. Lastly, they installed a 48" built-in refrigerator.

I contacted Dave on 11/28/11 and he returned my call quickly, scheduled a time to give us an estimate on 12/1 and emailed us an estimate that night. He was available to do the work on 12/9 and arrived promptly. The quality of his work very good. He was able to solve some of the "weirder" areas we had that transitioned from tile to wood and the area around our stairs. Because some of these areas took longer than normal, Dave wasn't able to complete the work on Friday but came Saturday morning to finish up. He was thorough and made sure that all of the work was completed to our satisfaction. We were very happy to have the project completed so quickly. We will definitely contact Dave first for any work we have in the future.
Description of Work: Dave installed painted trim (baseboards, shoe molding, quarter round) in our living room, dining room, stairs, hallway, and bedrooms. We removed all of the old baseboards earlier in the year when our hardwood floors were refinished. Unfortunately the contractor for that project provided a sub to reinstall the trim who bailed out on us. My husband completed about 50% of it but got tired of doing it so we contacted Dave to complete the work.

Upon his arrival at our house on Thursday, 12/1/11, we discussed the problem which was the flooring next to the bath tub was pulling away from the bathtub lifting up off the floor. Dave suggested a solution which we accepted. He repaired the floor within the time and dollar estimates he provided. The repaired floor looks great. Dave was prompt, courteous and friendly. We would recommend DJMConstructs.
Description of Work: Called DJMConstructs on Wednesday evening and left a message. The call was promptly returned within an hour and we discussed a floor repair project. The floor next to a bathtub was pulling away from the bathtub.

This is the first time I hired a contractor using Angies list. I contacted DJM construction and left a message. He called me back the next day to let me know he would be tied up for about 4 weeks. He came out within a day or two and estimated the job and sent a proposal through e-mail. Dave and his crew Cliff and Kasey started the job on time and finished in a timely manner. All the work done was excellent. The drywall especially. They enclosed a heating duct on the with drywall on the ceiling and had to finish around french doors and a window. There was hardly any dust or mess from sanding because they used a vacume attached with the sanding. It took about a week to finish the project. The first couple days they firred the concrete walls added foamboard insulation and installed drywall and the door. They came back to finish and sand 3 or 4 more times allowing drying time in between coats until the job was perfect. The $1325 was for labor only. All materials were extra and receipts were attached with the final bill as agreed on.
Description of Work: Install furring strips on an uninsulated concrete plastered wall. Add foam board insulation, install drywall and finish. Replace hollow core door from the house to attached garage with fire rated steel door.
David and his people are absolute professionals. They do a quality job with very strong attention to detail. This is the third time that we used them and each time we have been very satisfied. In this case, they installed ceramic tiles in two bathrooms. The result was stunning. They replaced two sink faucets, and refinished hardwood floors in two rooms. These floors had been scuffed and worn through 20 years of raising kids with a dog. The floor looked barnd new by the time they were finished. The also totally refinished a laundry room in a basement area. This included in stalling ceramic tile on a cement floor; installing a new ceiling and lights and installing and painting wallboard. One of the things that I have come to really appreciate about Dave is that he looks at a project from the eye of the owner. For example, when he finished the basement laundry, he noticed a crack in the cinderblock behind the washer that was letting in cold air. He immediately patched the crack and this resulted in a much better insulated space immediately.
Description of Work: This work involved nstalling ceramic tile in two bathrooms, refinishing hardwood floors in two rooms, and finishing a basement laundry room. the work was done with a great deal of professionalism and we are very satisfied with the result. More details are provided below.
Working with Dave and his two man crew was a pleasant experience from start to finish. They are friendly, punctual, hard-working, and clean up afterwards. Dave is more than just a skilled home remodeler and handyman--he's also a creative thinker. We had unfinished attic space and Dave helped us figure out the most cost effective way to add flooring without diminishing insulation and to add a whole house fan while still leaving room for access to the attic.
Description of Work: Dave and his crew sanded, repaired, and repainted our deck, installed an attic floor and door, installed a whole-house fan with outside venting, did some electrical work, drywall repair, and touch-up painting.

Our appointment to review bathroom work was held as scheduled. I had several items on my list so I asked Dave for rough estimates so that I could determine which items I could afford. Dave carefully explained why the ceiling fan replacement might involve additional work and cost depending upon what he found when the old fixture was removed. I was very comfortable with Dave's knowledge of what needed to be done. He also suggested great ideas for a fireplace project which I decided to postpone. Dave then provided a written estimate for the bathroom work, clearly identifying who would supply the materials. I thought the estimate was very reasonable and asked to have the whole list completed. The work was started as scheduled. I was not home while the work was done but was very happy to see the progress and the quality of the work completed every day. I was very pleased with the level of communication throughout the project. The completed project exceeded my expectations. I would not hesitate to contact Dave for future projects.
Description of Work: Medicine cabinet, light fixture, exhaust fan and light, furnace vent replaced. Wood baseboard and door molding added. Shelf built. Loose showerhead pipe and towel holders secured. Problem with wallboard corrected, sanded, and primed.

No problems. We have used Dave for other projects in the past, and he continues to be the best contruction/ remodeler//painter person we've ever had. I pray that he never retires!
Description of Work: Dave removed wallpaper from a bathroom- a terrible job as the walls hadn't been sized and chunks of the wall came with the paper - then repaired the walls and painted it. We were out of town for the last few days of the job, and when we came home the bathroom looked great and the mess was entirely cleaned up.

Dave and his crew were great from start to finish and we felt comfortable having them in our house with our dogs. This was our second project with DJM Construction and we have recommended them to all of our friends. The work is always done right and if little details need touched up Dave always fixes them with no complaints. He is reasonable to deal with and given the quality of his work he is quite a bargain! We plan on having him do several more projects before we sell our house and have no reservations recommending his work!

They arrived on time and were prepared with all their tools along with coverings for our newly refinished floors. They were very professional, knowledgable and efficient. Their attention to detail was impressive and they were very personable. They removed our old wall oven and carefully moved it outside our house. They were equally as careful moving our new oven from the garage to our kitchen. After setting the oven in, they realized they had to adjust the opening so they set it down adjusted the top. Once that was complete, they tried again and realized they had to adjust the sides of the opening. In order to make it fit properly, they took an equal amount from each side of the cabinent. The new wall oven went in perfectly at that point and they were very careful to make sure it was perfectly centered. They tested it out and it worked perfectly. They even took our old oven away for us. We spoke about an additional problem that we have and they listened carefully and answered our questions. We plan to use them to correct that issue and have refered them to other family members as well.
Description of Work: DJM removed and installed a new double wall oven in our kitchen. They also looked at another issue that we have and gave us advise on that.

Dave and his team are very professional and can handle a variety of issues. I highly recommend him for his quality work and fair pricing. He is someone I plan to hire again in the future.
Description of Work: Project 1: Installed two ceiling fans in the bedrooms. This included running new power lines to the fans and installing new light switches. The process took an afternoon at the most. Project 2: Installed a new bathroom vanity. We ran into a few issues with the faucet being an incorrect model and the vanity not quite fitting into the desired location. Dave was able to quickly solve both issues. Project 3: New doors throughout the house. This included taking out the old doors, hanging the new doors, and putting the trim back into place. The process took about a day and we had no problems.

We hired them at the end of July and they ended up starting the project on October 6, 2011. We gave $300 up front and another $700 on October 6, 2011. They did not show up for one of the days. They damaged every single thing that they touched in our bathroom and the siding of the house. The toilet, vanity, the faucet, and the tub all had to be replaced because they continued to damage our property. One of the guys offered to pay for the toilet and we told him to forget about it. We hired Dave, the owner, to do the work and he was never there to do the work he only dropped materials off and picked them up. The following Thursday, Dave showed up and told me that he was concerned about our expectations of the job. He said that he only took the job because he felt bad for my husband and I and that I was out in left field. I told him that I was concerned about the work he had done and the damaged siding. He refused to leave our house and continued to yell and scream outside of our house as he left. I thought we were going to have to call the cops. They then walked out on us and we have had our bathroom completely gutted. Everything they did was not up to code. They took $1000.00 of our money and left us without a finished project and we have had to hire someone else to redo the job. Pictures say a thousand words, and fortunately, my husband and I made sure we took them. We have hired a new contractor who has had to come in and re-do what Dave claims his team did so well. Such as: moving the outlet his workers placed barely an inch outside of our tub (see picture). This, I was told by our new contractor, isn't even code. That has had to be moved. The faucet has had to be replaced, our cast iron tub, our vanity draws and our vanity top. The cast iron tub was scratched and damaged by lights the workers used (see picture). They placed the four-pronged light on our tub while they worked. This light had no rubber bottoms just sharp metal. The rubber pieces were missing. They did not lay down a cover or towel on the tub to protect it. The vanity sink was also damaged when they installed the facet, as they tightened it too hard leaving a ring shaped scratch when it was removed (see picture). All of these items were damaged by the sloppy work and careless treatment of brand new items that cost over $2,500 to purchase. They also got one of their barely running work trucks stuck in our yard. My husband had to help push the truck out which left gouge marks and tire sized holes in our yard. When we first hired Dave and I told him the brand and type of tub I purchased, he informed me that since I purchased a cast iron tub instead of another type of tub, he would have to charge us an extra $200 dollars because of how heavy it was, even though my husband helped his workers carry it in the house and move it into our bathroom. He then called and said a wall was crooked in our bathroom and would be another $200 to fix. Our new contractor pointed out that that same wall is still crooked and in fact hadn't been straightened at all. When his workers damaged our faucet, I asked they remove it. It took less than five minutes. The faucet was not hooked up to a water line, it instead was installed in the vanity top that was laying on the carpet in our spare room. Dave informed me that that was going to cost us an extra $100. The large scratches on the faucet itself looked like they were caused by a screwdriver. I wish they were barely noticeable like Dave claimed them to be. If they were, we wouldn't have had to pay to buy a new one. In fact, the only time we saw or spoke to Dave was when he was telling us he was going to have to charge us additional money for this or that. As far as our siding, I never said they damaged it with a ladder. I said the only damage to the area they damaged, was damage I caused myself with a ladder several years ago. When they gutted our bathroom, they banged our old vanity top and draw unit off the sides of our home immediately upon exiting our front door. They then walked along the side of our home with the heavy items and put them in our yard. That is where the damage is (see pictures). This damage was not caused by mowing equipment as lawn mowers do not come up to a person's hip. The damage done was new, fresh and had not oxidized. When they uninstalled the toilet to do work in the bathroom (we never intended on replacing this toilet) they laid it in river rock we have outside our door. They didn't lay it on a towel and they didn't cover it. When it was in the bathroom they used it to place their tools on. This is how it was damaged and the reason why we had to spend $250 to replace it. As far as Dave claiming he couldn't see the damage, his workers admitted to it. One of them even felt badly enough to personally pay for a new one. We told him not to worry about it because the worker felt bad and apologized to both my husband and I. For the record, this same worker asked if he could have our front screen door since we were replacing it and also wanted to buy our grandfather clock off of us. Funny, since Dave claims our house was in ruins. Additionally, for Dave to say our house was in deplorable condition and attempt to pick it apart with false statements is nothing more than an attempt to deflect the poor work and damage done to our property. Does our house need work? Yes. That's why we hired him. If people's houses were in perfect condition, there would be no need for contractors. They would all be out of a job. Our wall's are not half painted, rather I have been swatching different colors to see which one's we like the best before painting. The holes in the wall Dave claims there are, are actually touch up work we did to cover nail marks that use to hang pictures. As for the condition of our siding, it was recently complemented by Sears when we had them just a week ago to repair the damage done by Dave's workers. It's a shame that someone who is suppose to be a professional attacks the homeowners in order to justify his own bad behavior and work. As far as being 8 hours away from completing the job, that is also not true. The tile floor hadn't been put down, the surround for the tub hadn't even been removed from the box, the vanity was laying on the floor, the vanity bottom and draws were still in the box and the mud hadn't been sanded. We have had to pay someone else to undo what Dave and his workers did. None of the bath fixtures had been installed like Dave claims. Again, please see pictures. They were taken immediately after Dave left our property. They show exactly how the bathroom was left. We are out $1,000. And, when the confrontation between he and my husband and I occurred, he flew off the handle, yelled and carried on, spoke inappropriately, began name calling and then refused to leave our house. After he did finally leave, he stood in our driveway and carried on for several minutes while his workers stood there. We of course took pictures of what was done, of which I am happy to post. Because again, pictures speak a thousand words. For Dave to say my husband and I are scammers is slanderous because it simply isn't true. After all, we were the ones who lost money. Not Dave. Contractors like Dave is the reason why the Attorney General's Office has a special unit dealing with homeowners being scammed by dishonest contractors. In conclusion, Dave walking out on our job was the absolute best thing that could have happened to us. We now have a contractor who has respect for our house, property, us and has been doing beautiful work. Plus, he hasn't damaged a thing!
Description of Work: They were supposed to do quite a few things in our house including redoing a bathroom.

Response from DJM Construction
When I first looked at the member's place I was presented with a home that was not in good condition (this was Aug 11 2011 - not the end of July as per the homeowner). There were half patched plaster walls, odd sized doorways, half painted rooms, large burn marks in the kitchen counter tops, the door was missing off their bathroom and in the future baby’s room the carpet was seriously stained with dog feces. At that time I was told that the previous contractor(s) had not finished work in what was to be the baby’s room and that he had taken off with $1200.00 of their money. I was in the baby’s room because this was where we were going to be putting an access panel in for the adjacent bath. I noted to the homeowner that the previous contractor had done a very nice job (although the work had not been completed). Unfortunately, instead of alarm bells going off about conditions and what we might be getting into, I felt sorry for the two, thought they had been abused by some fly by night contractors, and gave them a very low number to repair some of the many problems in their home. We started in the bath and took it down to the studs because nothing was square. With multiple walls over walls and floors over floors, it was a mess. We squared up the room, insulated the exterior walls, installed a vapor barrier, moved the plumbing to line up with the new interior wall, installed a new cast iron tub, installed new shower fixtures with shut offs, covered everything with moisture resistant drywall, taped and floated all seams with 3 coats of joint compound and repaired a couple electrical circuits (someone had used speaker wire in the junction boxes). We had also installed cement board on the floor and had all of the tile cut ready for installation. I would also mention that every night we made sure that the toilet was operational because they had only one bath in the house. This is the point when the homeowner started complaining about scratches on the toilet; however after an inspection I was unable to find any damage. We did offer to replace the toilet seat but they were uninterested. The reason I mention all the above is because the homeowner stated that we had left the bath completely gutted, but in truth we were about 8 hours from finishing that part of the proposal, with the balance of the tile needing set and grouted (it was already installed around the toilet area), vanity/mirror, towel racks and shower handles/spout installed to finish it up. The whole job began to head south when she started complaining about the vanity from the local box store that had very minor blemishes in the paint work. She sent it back (at this time she hadn’t mention anything good or bad about what we had done except for scratching her toilet). The next day after we had installed the faucet in the vanity top she found a flaw on the back of one handles (a pin head size tong mark from the manufacturing process). I mean it was almost too small to see! She wanted it removed so it could be sent back. So I explained that I would need to charge her for the time it took for the swap. At this point I was worried! I was wondering what it was going to take for her to accept any of the work we had finished for them. I addressed this with her and the issue of the toilet when we were standing at the front of their home. It was at this time that she leaned over and pointed to a gouge in the corner of the aluminum siding (a gouge that long since oxidized) and stated that it was not there previously, and that we must have damaged it by leaning a ladder against it…. The siding on the house was in deplorable shape to start with. There was moss growing up the side of it, lawn equipment had dented up the bottom corners, and it should have been painted or replaced years ago. At this point I realized that we were not going to be able to do further work to their satisfaction so I had my crew gather our tools and we left. The next day, I sent an email to each of them offering to finish the bath so as not to leave them hanging without a functioning tub. I would be doing this work myself, as my crew had already told me they really didn’t want to work there anymore (and I can’t blame them). I’m also concerned about how many other contractors might be scammed by these folks. I lost about $2200.00 on this project. David McGeary, DJM Construction

Not well. Contractor never called back after three calls to him over two weeks.
Description of Work: I called this contractor three times over the course of two weeks to request an estimate and he never called back. Very unprofessional and discourteous. Here's a hint: Even when you're extremely busy and your schedule is booked, the least you can do is pick up your phone and let me know. I will not bother to call again. I found a much better contractor who actually called me back and made a fair, timely estimate despite his busy schedule. I'm definitely using this guy instead.

Excellent. Dave is a professional person that took his time to tell us his opinion on some of the things we wanted done, even recommending that we not do something or explaining another way to do it. I know for certain that we will have him doing many of the things we discussed very soon.
Description of Work: I had Dave come and look at many different projects that i needed to have completed. He came recommended from two other friends and though he has not done any work yet, I look forwward to having him complete the projects we discussed.

I spent $80 on that service. I have had them several times and in fact he is coming today to put a faucet in. He said that he would be here at 1o o?clock, but he is still not here. I have used him a number of times, so I know that he is on his way and he is worth the wait.
Description of Work: I used DJM Construction last month and he fixed a toilet for me.

Dave was very responsive. He showed up every day when he said he would. He brought help when he needed it. He cleaned up his mess every single day which was much appreciated. The repair of the woodwork was beautiful. He participated in some of the decisions which ended up saving me a lot of money. He suggested painting the front door instead of replacing it and it turned out great, saving me at least a thousand dollars. I would definitely ask him to work on my house again. The price was for his labor and any supplies that he purchased. I bought some of the larger items and had them delivered, such as the toilets, cabinet, sinks etc., so the overall price was higher.

The work went very well. The quality of the work was very high. In particular the new railing on the deck staircase looks great. The work was done quickly and David was very professional throughout. I would recommend DJM construction to other people.
Description of Work: DJM did a variety of small projects for us including: adding a new railing to the deck staircase, adding a concrete pad for an air conditioner, small drywall repairs, fixing a door frame, and fixing a leaky gutter.
