The project went better than my wife and I could have imagined. Art was extremely helpful in the planning phase of the project, measuring the surface area and letting us know exactly how much stone to order. Communication with Art was great as he promptly returned phone calls and texts and began work on the project well in line with his estimated start date. Art seemed to work tirelessly, carefully examining every piece of stone before placing it, trimming it, or setting it aside for later use. Comments: This was a huge job that required special skills for it to be successful. I would describe Art (and his men) as Highly professional, extremely talented, respectful and above all honorable. Yep, I'm describing the mason that worked on my home and not Nobel Laureates. He and his men are that good. True old-world, eastern European masons that took a tired old red brick house and converted it into one of the most talked about houses in my Mt. Lebanon neighborhood. As they worked the stone, the diamond blade saws ran all day long to create an amazing look. Other, and probably most masons would have taken each stone out of the box and cemented it on the wall. Not Art. He meticulously designed each square foot in his mind and then cut the stone so uniquely there is absolutely no pattern what so ever. Over two weeks, four men working till sunset and there was absolutely no issues or details missed. I've hired a lot of contractors over the years, and most can't wait to leave the job and run to the next. While I'm left with a half-baked job and a punch-list pages long. Not Art. Finally, when you look at the house you first see the craftsmanship, then the beautiful stone. Wonderfully odd. Thanks Art.

Art did a terrific job. He picked up the stacked stone that I ordered from the supplier (a composite material that looked like stacked stone), arrived at my house on time (verified via text message) and worked continuously for two days (Saturday and Monday). He partitioned off half of the living room with plastic sheeting to minimize dust and cleaned up the work area following completion of the job. He also offered advise regarding installation of the mantel and helped install it (free of charge). He was courteous and kept me informed of the progress. The finished project was amazing and completely changed the room. His bill exactly matched his estimate. I highly recommend his company and would use him again for any masonry work.

It didn't!

Mr.Valentine stopped by our house saw the fireplace and a month later no estimate or any info.. obviously they were not interested...but I would have appreciated honest and more direct approach letting us know that that cannot do the job and better communication

Art's "attention to detail" and craftsmanship were excellent. He is an extremely hard worker who exceeded our expectations. I would not hesitate to contact him for future projects. Outstanding job!
