We had a very challenging back yard. Not a deep lot and sloping. Tom Esser and his team made our dream a reality. Tom's 42+ years experience proved to be the difference maker in selecting the Team at Alpine Pools in Allison Park. GREAT experience!

It went as well as it could possibly go. He was efficient and he was courteous and also helpful to us about the condition of our water. He also gave us advice as to keep the skimmer from freezing again.

They're our contractor. They're the only pool business that does the job and I've been very pleased with them. You get what you're paying for, the quality of work is excellent.

When I first called Alpine about getting a pool it was kind of on a whim. I explained this to Matt the salesman and he still suggested that I come in and he would gladly sit down with me and go over the costs of getting a new pool. When I went there I was not sure what kind of pool I wanted (above ground, in ground (steel or fiberglass). Matt was extremely accommodating and walked me through the process of as I was getting all three types of pools. Because of his expertise and suggestions we were able to determine the type of pool that would work best for me financially and what would also work on my property. After agreeing on the type of pool Matt scheduled a day when he would stop out to help me decide the best location of the pool. This is all before I even put a deposit down! After we were able to determine the type and location of the pool he then went over all of the extras that I could purchase. He was very honest on what he felt was worth the extra cost. After finally putting a deposit down we were scheduled to have the pool installed. Matt was very good about answering my calls trying to determine when the day of installation was going to be. Because of the weather and time of year this process could have taken forever but they were able to have my pool installed, filled and up and running within a month from that first day. Alpine/Matt was also very good about suggesting landscapers, electricians plumbers and contractors (for decks). I used almost all of the people they suggested because of their price, pool knowledge and availability to provide the services I needed done. I highly recommend using Alpine Pools for buying and installing a pool.

This was a total waste of my time and money. I had to call multiple times and visit their location to even get someone to call me back and acknowledge that I needed their services. When they did call, they said they would be out the next day - no real warning they were coming. They did arrive on time. They took the cover off the pool, squirted it off and rolled it up, dumped a couple of bottles of chemicals in the pool and plugged in the pump/filter. They were only at my house an hour. They gave me test strips that expired 2 years ago. They didnt clean the pool. Its one week later and my pool looks like h***, and not even close to being able to get in it. $300 for what? I would never use them again.

It took some time for Alpine to return calls, but when they set up a date to do the work they were on time and did a great job.

Their liner salesman was both condescending to me as a customer and outright rude at times. On top of his poor attitude, he took (and I'm not kidding) over an 8 month period to get back to me with a quote. I had to call them back on more than one occasion to make sure someone was still interested in giving me a quote/service. He didn't even apologize after he came to our house the second time, realizing he HAD been there before for the original quote (months earlier). Totally unsatisfactory and I'm not happy with this experience at all. That's definitely unprofessional, "Boss." UPDATE 6/13 2013: Just so this review is clear, I have not received an estimate from Alpine or from this salesman concerning a liner. A verbal estimate is not a real estimate in my book when dealing with thousands of dollars. The very first estimate I ever did receive was last week (verbal), almost 8 months after my initial phone call and subsequent return calls. On the first visit from this salesman, I was told I would be given an estimate including options on repair and liners (which was never sent). A simple phone call or a little customer service goes a long way.

I was given a new automatic pool cleaner as a gift from my brother. When purchased he was assured that any reputable dealer of that cleaner will service it if necessary. 1 month after purchase and use, it quit working. When I took it to Alpine, they refused to honor the warranty because it had not been purchased there. I asked to speak with the manager and after much run around and waiting, he finally appeared to talk with me. He was totally unwilling to help me saying simply, .."If I wanted service under warranty then I should have purchased it from them." No amount of explaining that it had been a gift made any difference. Contact directly with the company for repairs worked, but I had to send the cleaner back to them. They were wonderful not only about taking care of the repairs very quickly, but very apologetic about the situation. I was assured it would be looked into but at the moment they couldn't do anything. I would never do business with Alpine Pools for any reason, and this is after being with them for 20 years and them recognizing me when I went in.

Their quote was twice as much for a liner replacement. We chose a different company with a great reputation and saved a lot of money.

They were very professional and offered excellent service. I felt their pricing was very reasonable. They were very knowledgeable and provided tips for opening my pool next year.

We used the branch in Allison Park. Dealing with their installation department was a nightmare. As part of the closing on our new home we received a check for replacement of the pool liner, which was made out to Alpine. The seller had used Alpine and had them quote a new liner. We gave them the check in May for liner. Our liner was not installed until close to the end of August. It wasn't even the length of time it took to get the liner installed that caused me to review them poorly. They would give us a range of dates of when they were going to install the liner and that range would come and go without a phone call. We would call Alpine and they would reschedule for a later date because they said they were busy. This happened probably 3 to 4 times. Finally, the admitted that at first someone forgot to place the order for the liner and it was on back order from the factory. During the installation process the people installing the pool were actually good people. They were helpful and courteous. However, their work was lacking. When they took out the old liner they had to patch parts of the pool. They then installed the line and we began to fill the pool with water. While the pool was filling I noticed wrinkles in the liner. I called the installation department and the manager literally yelled at me and told me how this wasn't their fault, that water must be coming up from the ground, to which I replied, isn't that why I paid you to patch the cement? He was not happy with that. They still came and fixed the wrinkle in the liner. The pool is filled and we got to use it for a solid 4 weeks before we had to close it. I'm extremely nervous to open it in May. I don't want to have to call and argue with them if there are any issues with the liner.

We weren’t totally happy with them, but the service was just satisfactory.

They did a well thought out job. Due to the obstacles I had I was comfortable with their resolution.

I highly recommend them. Everything was wonderful and they made it as easy as possible. Their customer service was perfect and they were extremely responsive to questions and everything. Their price was very comparable. I would definitely use them again.

THEY ARE A BIG RIP OFF! I AM NEVER GOING BACK, THEY WERE DOUBLE PRICED ON EVERYTHING AND VERY MISLEADING. THE SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE AND PRICES WERE EXTREMELY HIGH.
