TVJ CONTRACTORS INC

How'd it go? Awful!! Steer clear! TVJ Contractors Inc. was found guilty of violating Pennsylvania's unfair trade practices law in Northampton County Court on October 23, 2012. We hired TVJ for concrete and blacktop work on our property and they totally botched the job. Our driveway and property was left with water retention issues and excess runoff which further degraded surrounding areas. When we complained, they attempted to ?fix? their job with some patching compound which not only didn?t fix the job, but made matters worse and left the brand new driveway we paid for looking like a patchwork mess. And then they disappeared. Further attempts to contact them were met with unanswered and unreturned calls. The owner?s wife, a.k.a. the ?office manager? hung up on us several times. We had no choice but to sue in an effort to get our money back, hence the verdict above. What followed our lawsuit was several years of what appeared to us to be TVJ dodging the system, multiple no-shows when it came time to appear in court, and in general, a lot of lying and denying. We are not litigious people and have never been forced to sue anyone for anything. We simply expected them to make good on the job we paid for. We are not unreasonable nor are we overly demanding and we understand that people do make mistakes. But it?s HOW one responds to their mistakes that speaks volumes in terms of their integrity, character and professionalism. There are so many reputable contractors out there to choose from! In our opinion, you?d be wise to keep looking?..

They did the work over two days. The experience was very good. They were very professional. They did an excellent job. I would absolutely hire them again.
