Safe & Warm Chimney Service

We have used safe n warm for years and were happy to find him at our new address. He came to clean our fireplace chimney. Turns out it didn't need to be done - instead of charging us and doing it anyway he said see you next year and charged us nothing. Wouldn't even take money for his time/service call. Love this guy!

I called for a quote on Tuesday and they were here by Thursday. Quoted me on the phone, showed up, did the job, within an hour they were done. Great guys.

Steve came when he said he would and he and his partner were efficient and knowledgeable. He even helped to start the gas fireplace and made suggestions on how to improve the output of heat in the unit. The price was below others and I would definitely hire them again.

We called for an appointment, left a message, and Steve returned phone call later that day. We were lucky to get an appointment at this time of the year within a week of calling. Steve showed up on time and was very friendly and honest. He mentioned that our cap was getting a bit rusty but still had some time to go before needing a replacement. Other places would have pushed to have it replaced immediately, but Steve was honest about it. He reviewed everything in detail on what he saw with the chimney, etc. He will be looking into getting us some doors for the fireplace as well. Overall good experience and definitely recommend him. We had a coupon from Angie's list so price was decent.

Prompt estimate, ordered liner and set up install date. Arrived on said date, did all the work at quoted price. 100% satisfied, already marked my calendar to have him return in 2 years to clean chimney.

Received a call from Steve to set up an appointment. The meet up was easy going and informative. There were no gimmicks, no bs and he was upfront. Installed a cap and inspected stove for a reasonable price of 165. He made some recommendations and was honest enough to say that there was some time rather than cram services down my throat. For a single parent that's always good news. I will definitely do business with Safe & Warm in the future but also highly recommend them as well.

Safe and Warn cleaned the liners from the roof down and were able to extract a lot more crud from the liners than other companies who had done the job in the past. The stoves were the cleanest that I have seen them since I bought them brand new. I will hire Safe and Warm every year to clean my chimney liners and stoves. I plan to tell my neighbors about him as well.

We had a 1230 pm appointment. Provider called to advise he would be a little late as he had to finish work with another customer. We appreciated that call. Upon arrival the provider went immediately to work. Completed his work timely and was very personable as well as professional.

When selling our home, the buyer's inspector reported that our fireplace was in need of professional repair. Background: when we bought the house 28 years ago, we found the cast iron damper rusted and frozen in position because there was no cap on the chimney and rain caused the damper to deteriorate. A local company (not Warm and Safe) installed a new chimney-top damper and a cap as the needed correction. Since then we rarely used the fireplace, because of my wife's asthma, and settled for electric logs to "simulate" a fire. Thanks to the home inspector, we now found out that the old damper should have been REMOVED when the new one was installed.28 years ago. Leaving it in place affected the "draw" of air up the chimney, meaning the function and safety of the fireplace was compromised. Steve was terrific; he responded to our call quickly, surveyed the situation and agreed with the inspector's recommendations. He removed the offending damper during his first visit and returned a few days later with a new, and more efficient, roof time damper. we were relieved that this "sticking point" in the sale of our house was taken care of by Steve immediately and at a fair price. We found him technically sound, personable and reliable and would recommend him to family and friends for any fireplace or chimney maintenance.

Safe and Warm Chimney Services did an extraordinary job. Our house is two stories with a basement. The roof is steep the chimney is very high. The flues and pipes were clogged due to my negligence and tthe stove was a mess. They quoted the price before starting the job and despite encountering difficulties the price at the end matched the quote. One of the reasons I did not have the chimney cleaned sooner and more regularly was that it seemed to me it would be too difficult and thus likely too expensive a job for me to deal with. It wasn't. This contractor is a true professional who takes pride in his work and integrity and left the place cleaner than they found it. You can not go wrong with these guys.

After playing phone tag for two weeks, we finally made an appointment for chimney eval and cleaning. They were supposed to show up Saturday afternoon around 4pm. They never showed and did not call. That cinched it for me, we didn't even call them back, and just found someone else.

Got here on time and went right to work. He was professional, personable and efficient. I will certainly use him again and I can recommend him without reservation.

It was awesome! After having my furnace cleaned and serviced, it was red-tagged because it was not drafting properly. I reached out to several chimney sweeps (listed on Angie's List) without much success - one told me they didn't have any appts until December, another didn't call me back until 7 hrs later and another still has not called me back. However, Steve of Safe & Warm called me back within 1 hour , understood that I had an emergency situation, since the issue was my furnace and not my fireplace, moved some things around and got to me the same afternoon. (I live in PA and work in NJ, so I am not close to home during the day and I was not looking forward to taking another day off of work.) Steve was able to resolve the issues with my chimney and provide some guidance on future upkeep (installing a chimney cap, etc.) Steve cleaned up the entire area around my furnace and left the area cleaner than when he began.

Steve and his coworker were prompt, neat and efficient. They helped me unload my car too! I was very pleased with their work and had a beautiful fire in the fireplace every weekend all winter (and much of the spring). I intend to have them back to do a spring cleaning, as they suggested.

They did the job and did it well. Two technicians came out to do the work and it took out about 2 weeks to complete everything. I was happy with the results of the work.

The orignal service was completed without any issues. Now I am having leak in my ceiling which is probably growing black mold. I have attempted to contact the provider and they will not return my calls. Now my ceiling is bowing.

After paying $1050.00 to Frank Lopez, owner of Seasonal Emporium in Marshalls Creek, to replace my wood stove pipes and waiting a month and a half for the job to not even be started, I contacted Steve from Safe & Warm Chimney Service for an estimate for the same job. Steve and Bill came out within a couple of hours and had the wood stove up and running that night for a quarter of the price paid to Seasonal Emporium. They were professional, knowledgable and very efficient. The owner called several times that night to make sure the temperature of the fire was safe and the stove was operating correctly and also followed up the next morning. I will be using this company in the future and highly recommend them to anyone who has a chimney, fireplace, wood, coal or pellet stove. I wish I had called them first. Thank you Safe & Warm!! (still waiting to get the money back from Seasonal Emporium)

I have had them come in couple of times. They do excellent work for their price. It's very easy to work with them. I would absolutely use them again.
