The work looked great for the first 5 1/2 years. Then we noticed boards starting to stick up on top of the deck. I went under the deck to investigate, and found several of the pieces of framing to be dry rotted. It was so bad, that one of the cross supports crumbled to dust. It was obvious pressure treated wood was not used. I have called them several times, but no calls have been returned. It's obvious they are trying to brush this issue under the rug. I strongly recommend you do not use this company!!

Legendary Builders (Joel Rupp) replaced our original wooden deck 13 years ago with pressure treated wood. His work is very detailed oriented and we loved the final product. Due to our own neglect, we didn't keep up with the maintenance required of a pressure treated deck. We decided to replace the deck, minus the main supports and joists which were fine, with a low maintenance product. We sought out Joel for this work since we were so pleased with the work he had done for us years earlier. The final product is beautiful, as expected. The entire experience was excellent. Joel and his son were a pleasure to work with. They explained everything they were doing and provided recommendations on how to improve the overall design. They were meticulous craftsmen. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I got four estimates for replacing our wooden deck with composite boards and railings. The estimate from Joel Rupp of Legendary Builders was the third highest bid. We were impressed with the presentation from Joel Rupp. He showed us samples and laid out step by step how the job would go. Since he could'nt see under the present wood deck he was'nt sure if any additional support woud be necessary,but gave us an estimate assuming the support was adequate. After removing the old wooden boards it was determined that much support needed to be added. Also we wanted an archway to the entrance which was'nt in the estimate. All of this was supplied without anymore cost to us. The work was started on time and went smoothly. As the job continued other unforseened items came up and added without anymore cost. The finished deck turned out beautiful and we have had many compliments since. Three workman including Mr. Rupp worked on the job and all were very professional and skilled in there work. I highly recommend Mr. Rupp and his company.

They did very well. It was a little delayed on preparation. They told us there was a little delay because they weren't able to get the permit, but when it was done, it was done well.

The experience was unlike any other work I have ever had done, these guys were an absolute pleasure to have around the house. They would play with the dog and make my kid laugh. They worked long days and were always in a good mood. The crew went above and beyond anything I could expect. When our wooden playset was delivered on 2 pallets in an 18 wheeler. They helped unload the set without me even asking. They even let me borrow tools while I tried to assemble it while they were building the deck. The attention to detail on my deck was amazing, and I have had other contractors at my house comment on the quality and design of the deck. I know that they are probably more expensive than other contractors, but I got more than I paid for. I got a world class composite deck and enjoyable experience of having it installed. I may have also learned something about construction along the way...
