I have a contract with them since they put my system in. When I built my house 11 years ago they installed my HVAC system. They come out in the spring to do maintenance on the AC and in the fall to do maintenance on the furnace. I like them, they've done a good job for me. They installed the system so they know it. Their price is competitive.

Could not be a worse time. A few days after Christmas. Our heating system had been on the decline, and gave out - winter is just starting, staff members on vacation, husband is very ill. Hannaberry went to great lengths to find employees and the equipment to get our heating system replaced in as short a time as possible. The workers are competent and very personable. If you have to have your heating system give out, at the worst possible time, these people take some of the sting out of a bad situation.

I checked Angie's List for a HVAC Company. Hannabery had excellent reviews so I phoned them. Christina was great and thoroughly explained everything. They had an opening the next day. We set up a convenient time and before Joe arrived, as she said that she would, Christina phoned to let me know that he was on the way over. Joe arrived on time and put on shoe coverings so as not to track in dirt. He went right to work to determine why the furnace would not function properly. He discovered the cause. He gave me the estimate which did end up being the exact cost. He had the necessary part in his work van and promptly made the repair. Joe left the work area very tidy. Our furnace has operated perfectly since then. I was very impressed with Hannabery in every way from the beginning of the process to the end. I will definitely call them anytime we need a company that performs any of the services that they offer. Thank you to Angie's List for helping us find this excellent company.

Earlier in January, I had no heat. Greg (Hannaberytechnician) diagnosed the problem as a rusted burner on my 6 burner unit.Original equipment in 5 1/2 year old home. He suggested that I replace all theburners. Of course, since I know nothing about furnaces or rusted burners, I planned to check out the viability of tho diagnosis. I initialed theinvoice as directed. I trusted that I was not committing to more than I knew. I paid the diagnostic fee, as requested. in investigating his recommended services, the consensus was only to replace the rusted burner atnthis time. When Greg came back, I asked him to replace only the rusted burner. He denies that I asked him to do his. He replaced a condensate pan that was under warranty. I believed he had replaced the rusted burner. The heat was restored but in less than 2 hours, I had no heat again. I called the office, was told that Greg would return and was assured by Brian that I would not be charged another fee. Greg returned, restored the heat (I have no idea what he did) and asked me for the fee, $105. I told him I was told that It wouldn't be required. He checked with the office and was told by Candy, the office manager, that i would not need to pay but that they would no longer service my account. I have been a customer since they installed the furnace, have never before had a dispute and have never been a day late with payment. I was leaving the following day for two weeks. I returned home to no heat on Friday, January 22, hours before the blizzard of 2016 hit our area. I called Hannabery, spoke to Candy and was denied service. I told her my age (super senior), that I had no heat and lived alone. Still no service.. AND NO HEAT!!! My daughter gave me the name of their HVAC service. I called them, explained the problem and within half an hour, two service technicians arrived at my door. The company is Dugan's, a locally owned and family run established HVAC business. They replaced a fan that had come lose and was completely bent out of shape and no longer functional. I asked them about the burners which they inspected but said that none needed replacing. I now have reliable heat, thanks to Dugan's, a company that clearly cared about and was concerned about the welfare of a woman who wasn't even their customer. This is the first time I have ever written a review of a company but this experience required the effort.

We have reviewed [Member Name Removed] version of the service calls at her home and while we appreciate her expressing her opinion, we also feel that there are some discrepancies as it relates to the actual facts. On November 24, 2015 Ms. [Member Name Removed] reported a no heat condition at her residence. At that visit we found the burners were not lighting properly on her York furnace. Due to a buildup of rust the flame would not carry from one burner to the next - this is a 7 code. This is a common issue we see and rather than trying to clean out the tiny passageways that the gas comes out of, it’s best to replace the burners themselves. We do not replace individual burners; we replace them as a set. This insures fewer failures in the future, and has also been recommended by the manufacturer. We gave her the estimate for the burner replacement and she approved the repair. At the same visit we noticed a leaking condensate pan on the furnace. We offered to do this repair as well, at no charge since there was a factory service bulletin on it. We ordered the parts that Ms. [Member Name Removed] approved in writing and scheduled a repair date. We had the parts available the following week, however Ms. Levin’s’ son called and said they were going to get a second opinion. After several follow up calls, Ms. [Member Name Removed] told us to come out January 8, and do the repairs. Our tech showed up and had the burners and pan ready to install. Ms. [Member Name Removed] told our tech she changed her mind and someone else was going to change the burners. We put that in writing and she signed off on it, declining the burner replacement. She did however accept the free repair we offered. She also acknowledged a trip charge would apply if she declined the repair and called us back later for the same problem. We absorbed all of the costs of sending our tech back, ordering the parts and paying a restocking fee from our distributor. Later that same day Ms. [Member Name Removed] called us back for no heat again. We saw the same issue with the burners not lighting again - it was a 7 code. Ms [Member Name Removed] again declined installing the burners and refused to pay for the trip fee. We agreed to rescind the trip fee however we could not afford to keep going back for free, and since she was having someone else replace the burners she would need to contact them for service. She agreed and signed our invoice. Two weeks later, Ms. [Member Name Removed] called us back again and said she had no heat. We reminded her she twice declined the burner replacements and we also gave her a free service call and that she was having someone else make the repairs. In addition we no longer had the burners since they were returned. She also had an alternate HVAC company she planned on using for service, so we were out of the picture at this point. We also recommended routine maintenance, which Ms. [Member Name Removed] declined at each service call. If another company found that the fan had become loose, then that is a maintenance issue that she previously refused to have performed. If the other company saw no problems with the burners, it was most likely due to the fact that it was an intermittent issue and most likely will come back. We feel that we have made every effort to deal fairly with our customer and did exactly as she wished. Her total cost was $105.00 for the three visits, which was more than fair considering the circumstances. If Ms. [Member Name Removed] wanted or wants to arrange a meeting with one of our Supervisors to review her service history we would be more than happy to do so. Called for a maintenance job on my gas furnace. Just purchased the house in March...furnace was old but ran fine last year and this year, wanted to learn a little more about it and check the condition. Hannabery came out and tries to take advantage of me being a new young home owner. Proceeded to say it needs to be replaced because he couldn't even get the furnace started. Umm what? The furnace ran no problem all last year and the whole week (including the morning of) prior to his arrival. He almost left with it "not working". He finally gets it working then proceeds to say its running at unsafe levels and pumping carbon monoxide into the house, put an unsafe sign on the furnace, and shut it down. Then he had a sales guy come out to give me a quote on a new one. I called more companies for inspections, told them what hannabery said, and they all confirmed they were taking advantage of me and trying to sell a new system. The furnace is fine. I paid $105 to have a guy come out and lie to me in an attempt to pay $3,000 for a new furnace.

They installed two new heat pumps in my house a year ago. They did a good job. However, I expected that they would service the heat pumps that they installed. Getting bi-annual maintenance scheduled is impossible. They don't appear to care about maintaining relationships after the sale. They never showed up this spring. I called on 10/13, didn't get a return call until 10/23 and was told the next available maintenance opening is in January. Completely unacceptable. I am taking my business elsewhere.

Mr. [Member name removed] heat pumps were installed in May of 2014 and a free maintenance was included. We have no record of him contacting us in the spring to schedule this maintenance, and if we had we would have taken care of it at that time. We schedule the heating maintenance's from September through March. As long as the system is functioning there should be no issues with having the routine maintenance performed in January. If the system was not functioning and Mr. [Member name removed] had no heat we would be out the same day. We are also increasing our Service department staff to be able to handle an increase in the number of maintenance customers we now have. This will help minimize any delays for scheduling of maintenance's. We apologize for the excessive call volume we experienced when our maintenance reminders were sent out and the delay in getting back to our customers. We realize our customers expect and deserve better service. We are addressing the situation and expect to have procedures in place to prevent it from happening in the future. If Mr. [Member name removed] wants to reconsider his decision to use another HVAC company for his future needs we would be willing to provide him with an additional free maintenance in June for his A/C. In addition we will make every attempt to provide him with an appointment date that would be more acceptable to him for his heating maintenance. Sincerely, Mike Smith, Service Manager Hannabery HVAC

Very professional from start to finish. The proposal was fair and complete. The installation crew was polite. their work was clean, and you wouldn?t know there was major installation when they left, They could not park in my driveway since I just had my driveway macadamized and so they had to carry the material across the lawn, but they accomplished it in good cheer. All in all I am very satisfied, and will continue to do business with Hannebery in the future.

We wanted Trane units for their reliability. I received quotes from 3 contractors. Their quote was competitive and they priced multiple options. They completed the work on time and were sensitive to keeping the house clean (ie. shoe covers). One of the units stopped working the second day after the install. They came the morning I called and stayed until they solved the issue even though they had to work through a torrential rain. Units have had no issues since.

had a new AC unit installed. for the most part the install went well. AC unit is working good. However, I was unhappy with the attention to details on the size of the hole left in the side of the house where the two pipe lines entered the house from the outside AC unit. They certainly could have used a bushing or boot for the transmission lines in stead of trying to fill the hole up with silicon chalking! See photo. I sent them an email twice and asked them to please fix that, and as the date of this review they never came back! UP-DATE: The installer returned today to look at the hole threw the wall. he agreed that it is not their quialty control procedure to leave this opening like that. He explained how they are going to close it with a section of pipe insulation and then calking. The company VP was telling me that is the best way to do the job. I guess we agreed to disagree. However, he did agree to fix it to their standards and I can except the . Although that pipe insulation will act as a wick and wick the water right in through the wall. I'm still confused why they don't use the right equipment to do the job? He really tried to convince me there is no other way, (kind of insulted my intelligence) but I have seen these wall sleeves used on other AC installations. I would use a wall sleeve that creates a neat hole through the wall,( see photo) and the line set is run through the wall sleeve.DiversiTech SpeediChannel™ is an innovative channel system used to cover air conditioning line sets. The two part system has a base and a cover. The base is fastened to a wall or ceiling, then a plastic clip (SpeediClip™) snaps into a channel already molded into the base. Using standard cable ties ran through the SpeediClips™, the line set, cables, control wires and / or condensate drain line are fastened in place. The cover then simply snaps on top of the base. The SpeediChannel™ system is manufactured from rigid PVC, available in 3", 4" and 6" widths, and can be used both indoors and outdoors. Each piece of SpeediChannel™ is 6 1/2 feet long, and a complete line of couplings, elbows and tees are available. These line set covers can also be painted to match any wall color. I;m not saying they had to use this entire system, but the wall sleeve would have made a better job. Call me crazy, I just like things done right! Next time, I will voice my concerns at the quoting of the job.

We are extremely satisfied with the process. We had Chris come to our house in December to give an estimate on replacing the heat pump, at that time the unit we had was working but we knew it was older and would need replacing soon. Hannabery was one of three companies we contacted. We choose them for an estimate because their offices are located near where we live and we liked their website and materials. We had our old unit serviced in the spring by a different company and wouldn't you know, a week or so after the service it started acting up. The outdoor compressor was running excessively yet it never really felt cool in the house. We had planned to go with Hannabery despite their prices being a little higher than the other estimates. I had read all over the web that with HVAC installs, you kind of get what you pay for. I called Chris and he helped get us scheduled and even helped keep our existing unit working until we could get to our install date. When the date for the install arrived the team arrived and worked efficiently for two days getting everything set. The compressor sits on the side of the house where our bedrooms are and I had mentioned to Chris that the noise from our old unit bothered me. He seemed to have noted that on the installers instructions because they made a couple of modifications to the setup that have made my life truly wonderful. The unit is so quiet that I didn't even think it was on the first day I came home following the install. I checked the temp though and it was right on target, we also find we can set the thermostat higher and be comfortable because the air in the house feels dry. I had a million questions for the installers and they answered each one patiently and thoroughly. I feel that I understand how the heat pump works and how to use it for both comfort and efficiency, which I don't think we were doing with our old unit. The installers also did some work re-routing the duct for our return, they said it would cut down on our hearing the motor from the inside unit or this weird whoosing noise we used to get as our old unit cycled on and off. All I hear now is occasional click of the thermostat as the programmed temps change throughout the day. These guys are definitely worth every penny as installers.

The sales person, Chris, was knowledgeable and answered all of my numerous questions immediately - even though when I started asking the questions it was the weekend and technically he was not working.. Right on top of things and as promised, he had the estimate to me before the end of the next day after seeing the job location. After the contract was signed, I waited a few days before calling Roy to schedule the job. At first it looked like it would be a few weeks, but when I told Roy we had no a/c, he rushed it along and got me in immediately. Though he said to assume it would take 10 hrs., the job actually only took 6 hrs. I chose Hannabery and the Trane single stage non-communicating heat pump instead of a competitor that sold Carrier two-stage, communicating heat pump for pretty much the same quoted price - because the Trane had a protective cover for debris so the compressor warranty was for 12 yrs instead of industry standard 10 yrs., but mostly because I felt more comfortable with Hannabery installing the equipment after meeting with and talking to Chris. In doing my research about heat pumps I read that correct installation mattered more than what equipment you ultimately choose. The Carrier competitor failed to notice important things about the job, which made me nervous about how dependable the installation would be
