Although this incident happened in January of '06, I feel it is worth passing on. Representative from Darby Electric came to house to check out the problem of why water was not hot in spa-diagnostic was wires off their terminals-also 4 function relay switch not working for 2 functions-after about 2 hours problem was supposedly solved-left unit on all night in order to have hot water the next morning-next morning water was cold and blower function for bubbles not working-called to have same person come out 2 days later-water still not heating the next day-hot tub not usable after second visit-called someone else and informed Darby Electric that I had no confidence in them to fix problem (that was on a Friday, someone new was coming the following week)-this gave Darby another chance to volunteer to come out again and solve the problem before the new company came out-they did not take the opportunity-called new company rep on Monday-they came out on Tuesday-by 11 pm that night I could feel the water was getting warmer-Darby Electric charged me $160 and I could not use the hot tub after 2 visits from them-I paid the new company $127 but they were successful-I wrote Darby Electric a letter stating all of this and had asked them to refund to me at least the difference between the two invoices $33-never heard a word from Darby Electric-this bothered me for quite awhile (the fact that 2 trips and $160 later I still couldn't use hot tub) so I wrote a letter to the BBB about Darby Electric's service-only after the BBB letter did I receive a check for $33-I really should have received more in return from Darby Electric because they did not bring the hot tub back to a usable state-guess that didn't bother them-have no confidence in them ever to hire them again in the future-I remember these turn of events well because as I am writing this I have the letter that I wrote to Darby Electric in front of me-lastly, their motto is "Simply The Best"-in my case I'd change it to "Simply A Mess."
