The pricing was ok but I had problems with a seam and there answer was there is not more we can do. I quess that is the thanks you get for referring someone to them. I will never refer again to them. Now I have a noticeable seam where all can see.

I'll start with the only positive. The salesman was wonderful to work with. We had an idea of what we wanted and he zipped around the store finding samples quickly and efficiently. Then let's start with the issues. We were told the carpet would arrive in December. Then it was January 5, 12,19,29...and since we were told January 5th, we had most of the house painted the following week. Then were were told the 12th and it was a moving target. I could not ask the painters to wait...So finally early Feb, it was installed or should I say partial installed. The team balked when I asked that they be careful since it was just painted. We discussed with the person who scheduled the install, if we had the transition pieces, could they install them? That person said yes but the installers said no. Now we have to install them. Then there was confusion on whether they were to take the carpet out and install the new. They had marked on the work order only to remove 300 sqft. which confused the installers since it was a few rooms, halls & staircases. But they cleared that up with a phone call. It was a snow week and these guys came in without booties, got my wood floor muddy, walked on my NEWLY INSTALLED carpet with wet and muddy shoes!!! Then the tool they were using broke with a few steps left and they had to come back two days later to finish. So they didn't have a spare tool? When they returned to finish, again, walked in with muddy and wet shoes on my NEW CARPET again!!! They left a mess everywhere they worked. Carpet fibers everywhere. I found nails and staples in the new carpet. (Where my kids play.) For the price we paid, I expected more from the installation crew and now we need to install the transition pieces ourselves and clean our carpet when it is only 2 days old!!! Not a good customer satisfaction experience in any way.

Jeff (sales) came out to see what work was needed, and said he will work out a price and have girls call with priceing. Jaime called me with total cost and we said we would like to have the work done. At this point we paid a total of $150.00 and Jaime stated someone would call us to schedule appmt. to have work done. All went well up to this point. Ralph called on 9/13/17 and stated someone would be out Thursday 9/14/17 at 1:30pm to glue strips down and then come back on Friday 9/15/17 to finish the job. As of 2:30 pm Thursday, no one called or showed up, so I called Crest flooring and spoke to Ralph and went down hill from there!!! Ralph stated he has no control over the installers. I said it sounds like lack of communication and at least have the courtesy to call if your running that late. Ralph stated, and I quote " I can't put a leash on them and guide them around, what do you want me to do? flatten their tires" This man Ralph is, so I'm told the vice president and he speaks to customers like this???!! Bottom line..... I left the installer come out and do the job. But I assure you I have nothing GOOD to say about this company! You can't make a good first impression twice!
Description of Work: replacement of some padding, and tack strips and then re-stretch carpet in family room, and in Utility room needed metal reducer on a section of carpet.

[Member Name Removed] is correct in her statement that you don't get two chances to make a first impression. We went there to look at the prices of carpet. But we were dissatisfied with them, so we went elsewhere. We weren't very happy with the service we were receiving. I feel the salesman was not interested in what we were looking for or was not serving our needs as far as helping us with information. There were times when we were left on the floor by ourselves and also, didn't feel that he had the knowledge behind the products. We had used them frequently in the past. They were our primary. But we didn't have that good service this time. I don't know if it was due to the salesperson. I probably would not use them again.

It went very well. It was a while ago, sometime last year. It cost us about $2,000. They were good in as far as what they did. They came at the time that they said that they would and the work that they did when they came out was excellent. It was the way that we expected. I would use them again in the future.

We met with them about a month ago in their showroom, and they gave us pricing based on our approximate square footage. The pricing seemed OK...but was not really sure since it's somewhat of a blind item. After we closed on our house, I paid them $50 to measure, we found out that the square footage went up a bit (not their fault), but we did check around on price a bit and found them to be a bit high. We would have rather just finished the process with them since we were already involved with them, so we asked if they could do any better. They got really nasty on the phone and basically hung up on my wife. They'd rather have no business than 90% of the original price. I called back to talk to the manager, who I flat out told I'd never do business with her, but that I want the measurements that I paid for or I'd call Amex to dispute the charge. I'm still waiting for her to email them to me. The manager also told me that they don't negotiate, to which I replied "name one thing in life other than taxes that's not negotiable." Again, I'm doing a disservice to myself by not asking for a better price on an expensive purchase, especially when I know there are others who can do the same job for less.

Our company does not believe in negotiated pricing...what is fair for one customer is fair for all. We respect our products and provide service we are proud of. The person writing the review I am responding to simply wanted our products and services for less as he clearly mentions. According to my sales person, he was on the phone with his wife for close to ten minutes as she tried everything she could to beat us down on our price. As mentioned above, we do not negotiate as if we are selling used cars!! The person was told enough times that our policy is not to negotiate and finally they were given a flat no. The sales person is a professional and absolutely did not hang up as the reviewer says...the conversation was over and because this person didn't get their way, they decided to voice their displeasure with not getting their way through a negative review. The review is coming from a scorned person. It is frustrating to see reviews of our company such as this because we absolutely are in business to create good will and treat our customers with respect. But when customers disrespect the company and lie, where do we go to voice our frustrations? For the past 26 years Crest Flooring has been the recipient of the "Who's Who in Business Award"...26 years straight! Sure we are not perfect, but with over 61 years in business and with the many awards we have won over the years, we are certainly doing something right. We are a stand up company built on solid business principles. Every consumer has an option of where to spend their hard earned money. If interested in flooring, you will not find a better place than Crest. We will treat you with the same respect we treat every customer with and we will provide you with the best product pricing guaranteed... regardless of your negotiating skills!

Went to Crest Flooring to purchase vinyl tile for my home. Did not have much luck getting quick courteous service. When I did get assistance it was from someone who was not very professional. It was for that reason that I would not recommend this store to other folks. Along with the fact that they did not have a wide variety of manufacturers to choose from. I continued my search elsewhere and was pleasantly surprised at what I found. Advice is to search for a store that gives you that customer satisfaction. Crest did not.

My wife and I were given a guestimate of around 1200 on bamboo wood flooring. When the guy came out and charged 50.00for a quote the new price was around 1800.00 So it was 600.00 more. My wife and I were not happy and they took 50.00 from us. We knew that they were charging 50.00 but we wanted them to come out because we knew in the beginning that the price was ok. But after we were not happy. So if Crest is so hard up for taking people's 50.00 then now I know how they stay in business.

I find the information in this review to be very misleading and inaccurate. The order we have under the address given is for a Jessie & Matt Lertzman; the sales transaction began in July of 2012 as well. There was a selection made of Teragren bamboo that was on closeout...4 cartons which normally cost over $300 was sold on clearance at $129.00. Our initial sales invoice clearly stated that trims are not included and labor is additional as well. The initial invoice also included carpet and cushion. The initial in store estimate was $1269.00 for both products. Upon site measurements being taken, there was 35ft. of primed 1/4 round and 2 sq. nose trims needed that alone cost over $280 installed! The only other charge was floor prep as the entire job was being installed on concrete. It is evident to me that our sales person and the initial paperwork reviewed with the customer was accurate. The major cost difference was in the 1/4 round trim and the overlap nosings that were needed. Our policy of requiring a $50 deposit in order to site measure is true. However, our policy clearly states that the $50 is credited towards the total job cost and if for some reason Crest does not get the job, we give the customer 60 days to come into the store and utilize it however they wish. It's pretty easy to use $50 for small area rugs, cleaning supplies, remnants etc. Our policy is very fair. It generally costs a lot more than $50 to drive to a job site, measure and detail the job and then turn it all into a total finished sales order. We certainly have to cover our costs to provide this kind of professional service but by the same token, for those few customers who do not follow through with an order after a job is measured, we do not want them to be out the $50 and so we offer them a more than reasonable time frame of 60 days to utilize the expenditure. Considering the transaction we are speaking of took place a year ago, I am curious as to why it is being brought up now. It was very interesting for me to gather all the information I have presented and feel that Crest was certainly up front with this customer when the sales process began. Again, the fact that trims were clearly indicated on the invoice as not being included, the additional cost they are referring to is clearly from the cost of the trim and the labor to install them.

I had the best experience with them. I needed carpet in a rental unit that I own. I talked to their sales person Marc Pitcoff, he was excellent. He did the measurements himself, he suggested the type of carpet and padding that would be appropriate, he suggested way for me to save money (ripping out the old stuff myself). He handled it like I would expect a professional to do. The only bad part was I had to wait about a week for installation, but it was done when he said an took only the one day to do that was promised. i see others had a bad experiance with the salespeople there, I have only dealt with Marc and can only talk about him,

Horrible, horrible customer service! The salesperson was unbelievably rude. She was disinterested, demeaning, judgmental, made inappropriate comments, took personal phone calls while we were waiting. She was very disinterested in our needs and certainly not helpful in our rug purchasing process. When the need arose to call the store after the order was placed, spoke to another person who was equally rude.
Description of Work: My husband and I had previously purchased a hall rug, had it installed and received acceptable service. My daughter, niece and I went into store with the intention of purchasing a number of rugs for our daughter's new home. During our visit, two large area rugs were purchased--one needed to be bound, one special ordered. The salesperson was so rude, we were incredulous. In fact, when we left the store, we looked at each other and said, "What just happened??" We were not told they had no delivery service. In fact the salesperson said, "You will have the rugs by __/__." The experiences with the salesperson and the "manager" (via phone call) were not pleasant.

I am glad to have the opportunity for rebuttal in the case. I spoke with the sales person who handled this order. [Member name removed] initially came into our store on her own. After explaining she was looking for her daughter's home, we had her sign our some samples for an initial review. When she came back with her daughter, [member name removed] was in control of what was going on and wanted to look around with her daughter. My salesperson didn't want to hawk so she went back to her desk and went about her business answering business calls (we don't encourage personal calls) writing up invoices etc. She answered every question about pricing etc. presented to her and eventually wrote up a nice order. Things were explained that the one order being custom would probably take 3-4 weeks to be fabricated. My company does not offer free delivery. The invoice in question clearly states the order was a 'pick-up'. Our manager recalls a call about this and told our customer that while we don't offer delivery, our warehouse men will provide that service if needed. Besides what I've said above, my company is the proud recipient of the Who's Who In Lehigh Valley Business Award 26 years in a row. We don't get the respect of our clients voting for this award by being rude and by providing horrible, horrible customer service. Are some clients easier to work with then others? Absolutely!! At Crest we take pride in our accomplishments and when we hear of a 'review' such as what [member name removed] posted, it has its affects on all of us because we do try so hard to be considerate to all people, not just customers.
