Black Forest Mold

After clearing out the basement of my mother's house, I noticed black mold on the paneling. At the recommendation of our realtor, I contacted Joe D'Agostino at Black Forest Mold. He responded to my phone call in 15 minutes, made arrangements to inspect the situation 2 days later, sent me an estimate right away and scheduled the work for the following week. He explained in detail what would need to be done. I've never had such a project go so smoothly. Joe and his crew worked extremely hard for 2 days and I was kept apprised of any issues that arose and I received the clearance letter the following week. The whole process was seamless. Joe is knowledgeable, diligent, courteous, punctual. There are not enough superlatives to describe my experience. He inspires trust in his company and himself. Plus, he is a really nice guy, very personable. I would highly recommend him.

Every room in my house had vinyl wallpaper - even the ceilings! Last summer my children decided to pull down a strip of wallpaper in the kitchen and I discovered that the wall was black underneath it We spend the day pulling down all the wallpaper in the house and discovered patches in every single room! The worst was the basement. I was panicked and worried about my children's health. I found Joe through Google, and checked out his references and licenses and decided to call him. He got back to me the same day, and scheduled a test, the cost of which ($350 to do an air test of all three floors of the house, plus patch testing) he deducted from the final remediation price. He sent me an estimate and we scheduled a two days to do the remediation. His team was friendly and professional. They worked diligently and very hard the whole time. The cleaned up their work spaces before they left each time and were careful to make sure they didn't leave any of the chemicals out in the main living areas because of my kids. I was really impressed. I felt comfortable having Joe's team working in my house, which is frankly not always the case when contractors work. In the process of doing the remediation, they had to gut my basement and remove appliances. They were careful not to damage anything, and I even discovered when they were done that Joe had fixed my wonky dryer vent access, just because it bugged him that it was done wrong! He's great! The drywall patching they did was seamless and you can't even tell they removed anything. The work was done in the time frame estimated and Joe was happy to answer my questions about what I needed to do after his team finished their work to ensure they didn't have to come back! Really, it was like having my dad around helping me out. He returned phone calls and emails in a timely fashion. I highly recommend this company! Having mold is scary and it was wonderful to be in such good hands.
