Bastian Carpet One Floor & Home

My husband and I selected vinyl flooring at Bastian that we wanted to order. When we went there to order it, the salesperson had a sample of flooring out for us to order that was our second choice flooring, not our first choice flooring. She didn't tell us that it wasn't the flooring that we wanted to order. Instead, she had a sample cove molding that she thought matched the flooring sample she had out for us and she was ready to write up the paperwork for us to order the wrong product. After a little while, I realized that this was not the flooring that we chose. Instead, we found out that the flooring we chose was not available. We were told that it was discontinued during Covid. Actually, someone else tried finding this flooring for us and we found out from the distributor that this flooring was discontinued 5 years ago, in 2015, not during Covid. We got a quote for another flooring from Bastian and a quote from another flooring company. Bastian was twice the price of the other company. We purchased luxury vinyl flooring elsewhere and were totally satisfied with their flooring, installation, price, and employees, and honesy.

Great showroom. Had excellent support from Pam who guided us through our selection. The carpet we picked was on sale and the prices were good. No hidden costs. The installation was very professional with friendly installers Darren and a John. The work was done quickly and efficiently. We are very happy with the final product and the whole process.

We just used Bastian Carpet One for the first time since the early 1990's. We had a very bad experience when we used them in the 90's. Rolling the clock forward over 20 years, I am amazed at the totally different and very positive experience we just had with them. In early September of this year, my wife and I began shopping around for about 750 sf of new carpeting for our basement family room. I still had such a negative impression of Bastian from our experience in the 90's that I wasn't even going to consider them, even though they were the nearest full service carpet retailer to our home. We only decided to shop there because of a sales flyer we received from them after we had started shopping around. To our surprise, our entire experience was excellent. The sales woman who helped us was very knowledgeable and helpful.. She answered all of our questions and helped us select the rug that we ultimately purchased. The individual who came to our home to get the room layout and measurements for their estimate was equally professional. Today the new carpet and padding was installed by two very friendly and courteous installers who did an excellent job of removing the old carpet, installing the new padding and carpet and cleaning up when they were finished. I would not hesitate to buy flooring products from Bastian Carpet One again or to recommend them to family and friends. I did find Bastian to be slightly more expensive than some of their competitors, but with Bastian's promotional pricing in early September the difference in cost on a roughly $4,400 purchase was literally only a few dollars.

Absolutely perfect work.

They were fairly priced because I went with them after getting other estimates. They were knowledgeable and the installers were good and polite. They did a good job.
