Ray was prompt, made sure everything worked before leaving, recommended replacement toilets that we're VERY happy with, and overall did an excellent job. His prices beat the larger plumbing establishments, and his service was very personal with high attention to detail. I would encourage anyone considering using a competing larger plumbing firm to hire Ray instead - you won't be disappointed!

Ray was wonderful. He returned my call promptly, came when he said he'd come, was honest about assessing the difficulty of jobs, took the time to do the work well, charged us fairly, and was pleasant and professional the entire time. I'd definitely recommend him, and I look forward to working with him again.

Ray is a very nice person to work with. Due to my schedule, we were playing phone tag but Ray always followed up quickly. We needed a repair to a ceiling that had water damage as well as needing a ceiling fan installed and another moved to a different room. He cleaned up after himself and the final results for great!

Ray arrived on scheduled. He was friendly and professional. He was in and out in less than 1hr. I advised him when our dryer was to be delivered and he made sure that the electrical work was completed in advance of the delivery. Nice fellow to chat with.

I called and left a message for Ray and within a few hours he had returned my call and we scheduled a time for him to come provide an estimate. We had recently moved into a new house and needed help with changing light fixtures, plumbing and hanging some mirrors. Ray has done a tremendous job for us. He has been very thorough and always cleans up after the work in done. He arrives on time and works very hard while on the job. He is an excellent handyman and has the ability to take care of almost all household issues. I would highly recommend Ray Garvin for those who are looking for some help.

I have used Ray a number of times now. He is trust-worthy and honest, respectful, shows up on-time, cleans up after the job and his pricing is very reasonable. He gets busy and sometimes takes a little time to return my emails. But I would absolutely continue to use him because I am very satisfied with his work. What a relief to find a great handyman!

Called Ray and left message. He returned call about 6 hours later. I reviewed seveRal projects I had in mind to be done . He promised me he would call back later in the week to set up an appointment. I never heard from him again! I called him again and left a detailed message in case he lost my info. Still no response .

Ray was on time, efficient, and easy to work with! Definitely would recommend and use in the future!

Ray came over before hand to give an estimate and make suggestions as to what would be the best way to add new outdoor lighting for our back yard. He showed up on time with the materials and fixture in hand. I didn't have to do anything, including figure out which light I should put up. He ran new electric line, installed the fixtures and cleaned up the work area after completion. He made suggestions on what what the correct bulbs to purchase in the future and we've been completely happy with our lights!

Before Ray even got started, he kindly removed my old dishwasher as a convenience to me. He notice that we had uneven floor and showed up on installation day prepared with wood material to ensure my new dishwasher would be installed perfectly and evenly. The installation went quickly and flawlessly. This is why I have used his services time and again! Always happy.

Ray came over to give an estimate and make suggestions as to what type of basement sump pump we should purchase. He showed up on installation day with the new pump on time. He routed a new drainage line to ensure the drain will not freeze in cold weather. He finished quickly and cleaned up after the job. We have been very happy with the results!

We had a great experience with Ray. He is very knowledgeable and gave us good advice on a variety of house repairs. He was able to fix a window that we had been having trouble with for awhile and replaced two electrical outlets. Ray was able to come by for both the initial visit and the service visit on short notice, which we very much appreciated. Ray is a great choice for small home repair and advice.

Ray Garvin has worked on repairing and improving my home since 2011. I have used him for small jobs in plumbing, electrical, drywall repair, paining, carpentry, etc. He has always done high quality work in a very a professional and customer-focused manner. This review centers on his most recent work-replacing the selving in my home's closets. I decided that I wanted wood shelves and strong brackets to replace the closets' flimsy white wire shelving. Ray removed the old shelving and install the sronger and larger wooden shelving with meticulous care and concern. He made sure the shelves were exactly where I wanted them. And, If I changed my mind, he was eager to refit them to my desired location. Ray worked efficiently, carefully, and cleanly. He is a perfectionist, and it repeatedly shows in the quality of his work and in his desire to meet the needs of the customer.

Working with Ray has been the best experience with a contractor I have ever had! Ray returned my initial call within 2 hours, discussed the work to be completed and offered times within the next week to have the work completed. Ray confirmed the appointment and arrived exactly on time. Ray was highly conscientious about providing a complete and through job and absolutely did not cut corners. He went out of his way to deal with an odd plumbing configuration just to make sure we had no problems. I am sure that other contractors/plumbers would have completely avoided the issue. Ray is a Master Plumber and Electrician at the price of a handyman. Finding Ray actually renewed my faith in Angie's List.

Ray always called me back. He never worked on the replacement part needed for my screen door before but was able to fix the door in a short amount of time. I would highly recommend him and I plan to hire him again as needed.

It went very well. While he was here I had him look at a wall in my quilting room where I wanted a permanent arrangement on one wall for a design wall. He took the measurements for that and said he could buy the materials and install it for me. I also showed him our living room where multiple wires were hanging in the back below a table and asked if he could hide them so we could not see them/ He told us how he could/would do that. I had him add that to his list. I keep thinking of things I would like Ray to do.

After calling him on Monday the 22nd, we agreed that he would visit on Wednesday. the 24th, at 7:30 AM to do the work. He arrived on time and immediately got to work on the hall light fixture. Following that, he started on the kitchen knobs. He asked where I wanted the knobs placed, measured carefully, drilled and installed the knobs. They look great! Lastly, he installed a new light fixture on our outdoor lamppost. Everything was done extremely well. He was pleasant and professional, and we look forward to having him do work for us again.

Ray does a great job.He is very responsive to phone calls, and very punctual. He charges what I believe to be fair hourly rates and he genuinely only charges for the actual time spent working. Very pleasant guy as well! I will be using his services in the future!

Ray's expertise and willingness to tackle not so obvious solutions is worthy of note. He is a morning person and likes an early start but works without delay. Without question , I would use his talents in the future.

We had a list of small odd jobs that needed to be addressed (i.e. hanging a heavy mirror over the fireplace, repairing the tracks on sliding closet doors, spackling several holes and cracks). Ray was prompt and pleasant. We thought that the work product was average.

He did a great job. He purchased supplies he needed he came. The process was not long. Mr. Garvin did an excellent job.
