Ray returned our phone call promptly, completed all services and billed fairly.

I had Ray install in a 'complete toilet in a box' that I bought myself. He was very courteous and professional and did a great job. This was something I considered doing myself but I am glad I had Ray do it. He did a couple of extra steps to make sure the installation was perfect and wouldn't cause us any problems later.

Ray did a very good job, was professional and thorough. With something so important to get right, we felt confident that Ray did a good job. He was responsive, punctual and we would be happy to use him again in the future. We would definitely recommend him to others.

He is fantastic and his prices are reasonable. He came out three times in two weeks because we had some problems. We spent a maximum of $400 for a lot of work. He completely replaced a cast iron toilet trench that I broke when I was trying to fix the toilet. It is an old house and he came and took the old one off. He went out and bought a new one and took the time to lead it on correctly and was here for quite a while doing that. He came back about a week later because we were going to do a toilet installation and the toilet, unfortunately did not fit because we had done some other renovate work. He helped me install the vanity which I was going to do on my own and ordered the new toilet. When he had come back we had a problem with the valve because the pipe had pin holes because we had been tinkering with them. He came in and put on new nipples, piping and the new toilet and was great about it. If he says he is going to be here at 7.15, he shows up right at that time and he made time for us because he knew we were trying to get done with the bathroom renovation that we were in the middle of. The third visit was an extra visit for him, right before he went on vacation. He is very friendly and approachable and I was asking him questions as I watched him work. He was explaining what he was doing and told me what I should do if I ever do the work myself. He was very, very good and I could not say enough good things about him. We are going to use him again to fix some basement issues we have.

Ray has helped us with two plumbing leaks recently. Very responsive, knowledgeable and quick. Having him back to replace a few faucets soon... After having bad experiences in the past with other plumbing companies, we couldn't be happier with Ray's service!

It was great! Working with Ray is wonderful. He is willing to come early in the morning, is always on time, reasonable in his charges, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Ray doesn't have a staffed office, so his response time is not instantaneous if he is away on vacation or at another job. But he is very good about calling back as soon as he can, and so easy to work with it is worth a bit of a delay. We have used him a couple times and will definitively do so in the future (although hopefully we will not need a plumber any time soon).

We have used him several times now and would not call anyone else!!

It went very well. What more can I add? He was on time, did the work well and wasn't overly expensive. He was very personable and observed all the door safety rules of the house (I have several cats and am extremely careful about doors being opened before other doors are closed).

Excellent. He knows his limitations - is very adept at what he does but knows what's beyond him, e.g. gas/electrical work. Jobs he wasn't able to do, he had recommendations for. It was a very pleasant experience - and things are finished!

I love Ray Garvin. His work was fabulous as always. Ray comes and goes, and you would never even know that he has been there. I would absolutely use them again.

Ray was very courteous, prompt, fair and professional. He is a joy to work with. He is very knowledgeable and looks for ways to save you money.

Excellent. I was told by others it was too much trouble to vent outside or that I would have to go through another room in the house. Ray was able to come up with a solution and vent it outside. It was worth the cost. He was able to vent through the basement, and come up with a safe and good route that no one else could.

I contacted Mr. Garvin the previous day about installing a new toilet. He provided me with an estimated price and made a recommendation on what model toilet to purchase. He offered to go and purchase the toilet as well, but my husband preferred to pick it up personally. He told me to call him in the evening and he would be able to schedule the installation. After purchasing the toilet, I called and he said he would be able to do the job a 7:00 am the next day. He arrived promptly and proceeded to remove the old toilet, replace some rusted pipe pieces and the shut off valve and installed the new toilet. All work was done quickly and he had everything necessary with him to do the job. My bathroom was left clean and undamaged, which considering it's a VERY small area is a feat in itself. While he was there, I also asked for estimates on some other items that needed replacing or repair and will be using his services again, when I need the work done. Ray Gavin was very pleasant, competent and professional, and I will be looking forward to using his services again.

Mr. Garvin was here at the time he stated ( about 7:30 AM) and got to work right away. He tore down the old wash tub and broke it into pieces we could easily handle and put some in the trash bucket outside. The job was finished about 11:40AM and it was what I would describe as a work of art. VERY professionally done and improved on what I had been using for all these years. He cleaned up the area very nicely and I definitely would recommend him to my neighbors and call upon his services again

In both situations, we were very pleased with his responsiveness, his approach to the jobs and quality of his work, all at reasonable cost on an hourly basis. We will definitely be using him again.

Ray was there when scheduled at 7:00 and finished the work by lunch time. He did a good job and explained what he did very well. I plan to use Ray again when we put finish the bathroom in our basement.

I spent $ 88 for the work he did and I had a positive experience with him. He seemed like an overall nice guy and was also knowledgeable.

These problems were problematic for me. I wanted them fixed and Mr. Garvin complied.

Ray did a great job. He's a true "old school" professional. For those of you tired of contractors that don't answer a call, or worse make an offer then disappear, then Ray is your man. He's thorough, efficient, honest, and detailed oriented. I'd definitely recommend him. If the job is within the scope of his skill set (plumbing seems to be a strength) he'll do a good job. If he can't he'll tell you w/o the b.s.

The estimate was based on hours, and it was right on. Ray was very neat and made sure that we were happy. Ray took care to learn everyone's name, he was very pleasant, and he came prepared with everything he needed. I would definitely ask him to do tasks that involve electrical, plumbing, and repairs that I'm not confident with but don't demand heavy lifting or much outside work.

Great. It was a tough situation. No easy way to remove the cabinets without some demolition, so this was the cheaper, faster approach.

Ray was punctual, as usual. He fit us in early, before his first job of the day. After he put everything back together, he tested the garbage disposal and found a hole in the waste pipe. He went to the supply house to buy replacement pipe, dismantled the drain and re-did it, for only $35 more.

Ray arrived on time and removed an old hot water tap, garbage disposal and diconnected the water and waste pipes.

Ray was very punctual, professional, and honest. He gave his honest opinion on how best to repair something, and was very thorough. He would look at the whole toilet to make sure it was working properly and didn't just fix the immediate problem. He was also very friendly and had some excellent advice for us as we are new to the area! I will definatley be calling him again to help out around our house!
