Stan the Hot Water Man

we arrived home on Saturday after a week away to find our water heater not working and no hot water! Called one company who told us they couldn't come out until Tuesday and then would have to order parts which could take a week! They told us about Stan..... We called, got a call back within an hour from the service person who then arrived a few hours later- Same day!!. Found the problem. Fixed it and all is well. Love this company. wish they worked on other appliances or heaters since they were so responsive.

The tech showed up right on time, a major help since I was taking time off work to be there. He was thorough, explained everything I asked about; left the jobsite cleaner than he found it.. .

The repair guy replaced a sensor that had broken on our hot water heater that was causing it shut off. They were able to send someone out the same day, and the person was efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. Would not hesitate to call them again.

Our 2002 Rheem hot water heater was getting old and we knew a new one. This provider walked us through the selection process and told us we could actually get by with a smaller hot water heater than we had, which we were glad to hear because it would help us save energy and money. We were happy with Rheem, so we got another Rheem. The installer was punctual and quick. I appreciated that this company did not try to upsell us something that we did not need.

Great about fixing the leak with our hydronic radiant floors, but have been waiting for weeks for replacement parts. My office is ice cold and have been waiting for them to come back to fix. Great emergency response, but poor follow through.

They did not show up. After being quoted a 2-hour time window, I called for an update when no one had shown up and there was less than 20 minutes left in the appointment window. I was told by the actual plumber that he was wrapping up a job and would be leaving soon, and would call me back when he was on his way - he thought within about 20 minutes. Over an hour later, no call, and I had to contact the main office to find out where he was. Ultimately I canceled the appointment, rather than wait to see if he would show or take a chance that the quality of my job would be affected by his running so late. I might feel differently if the plumber had taken the responsibility to update me on his tardiness, even if he knew he had to reschedule, but I shouldn't spend half of my day off wondering when he is going to show up, or if.

Our 12 year-old water heater finally gave up and after considering all the options, including repairing, we decided to replace it to a high-efficeincy water heater. We did some on-line research and consulting some friends who also replaced their water heater, we came to this decision, between tank-style vs tankless. After looking at Angie's List, we called 4 plumbing companies. Stan the Hot Water Man was very responsive, answered our questions in very professional way, and very knowledgeable. Their price was very competitive and save us over $500 over the other company's bit. The technician came on time and he was very pleasant, yet, professional. He finished his work in 2.5 hour as he told me and did very clean work. He answered all my questions and also show me how it works after all the work was done. After he left, I wanted to submit the incentive application to Energy Trust and found out that I needed to have his signature. I had to call the company and mail the application form for him to sign. I received the signed application today. They were very responsive in that matter as well. Only if I can ask one thing is that I wish he has knowledge about this since I asked him when he was at my house. Overall, I am very happy with their work.

Fantastic service! After two days of cold showers, I discovered the pilot on my water heater was out, and made multiple attempts to re-light it, following directions on the water heater sticker. I could not get it to light, so called and asked for help on a Sunday afternoon. I promptly got a call back from Morgan, the on-call technician, who was wonderful in assessing the problem, guiding me through the correct process, and explaining aspects of the water heater that I had not understood. Very friendly, smart about water heaters, and gave easy instructions that I could follow with him on the other end of the line. The call was free of charge. Water heater is up and running again. Very thankful!

He comes when he says he is going to. He fixes the problem and his pricing is reasonable. He is our go to water heater business.

The repair person was very professional. The labor fee was about $99 plus parts. The first repair didn't work, but the second one did. They only charged me one labor fee. All in all, I was pleased with their service.

I called this morning about not having hot water at my house. I was recommended to use this company from a different water heater company who was unable to come out today. I called about 915am, the woman who answered the phone said the agent who covers my area (Vancouver, WA) would be calling me to work out a time. After 30mins I heard nothing, so I thought I would call back to see how long it typically takes to get a return call from an agent. She said an hour or so, which was reasonable, so I adjust my expectations. It is now a little after 11am and I have heard nothing! Maybe they provide a good service IF they ever call to come to your house, I personally won't be finding out.

Over the telephone, I told Mark that that my water heater seemed to be running non-stop after a long shower (it sounded like it was constatly filling up with water), so I turned off the electricity at the breaker box for safety, turned off the cold water tap, opened the closed hot water tap and followed written steps on draining an electric water heater. However, it never drained and there was no change - it still seemed to be filling with cold water. Mark explained why it didn't work; that it was definitely in a constant state of filling with water; and he gave detailed instructions on what I should do to change that and if it worked, the problem would subside, otherwise, it would mean there was a leak somewhere in the pipes under the house. I followed his instructions exactly, which involved several steps including closing the water heater drain tap, disconnecting the water hose I had hooked up to drain the tank, opening all of the hot water taps, turning the cold water tap on the water heater back on, waiting for the hot water taps to stop sputtering and run normally at which point I could turn the breakernd back on. Afterwards, the tank refilled, the hot water reheated and the entire issue was resolved. The water running sound ceased and there was no water leak. Mark was able to diagnose the issue over the telephone by asking questions and listening to my responses and the actions I had taken. It helped a bit I guess that I had a little knowledge being a plumbers daughter (he didn't know that); but could trust what he heard when I explained the issue and what I'd done; and since his suggestions worked, he knew I was able to follow his instuctions and he didn't need to come by to fix it. All is well thanks to his expertise. When I called him back to report the success, I asked him what I owed and he said said nothing. What a guy; what a company. Now that my Dad has passed, I now know the company I'll be calling whenever I need help in the future. Stan the Hot Water Man has a new customer. They'll get my business every time and I'll gladly pay the fee - for not only whatever work they do, but also, for their integrity!

Excellent service. The charge was to replace the water heater in my condo. Dale did a great job, even updating the install to meet current codes. When I had water coming out the drain 3 months later, we thought I might need an expansion tank installed. Dale came back out, checked my tank and it was fine. We then went to the upstairs neighbors', where he found that it was their water tank that was now leaking. I was expecting to be charged for the second service call, but he didn't charge me a dime. I would have them out in a heartbeat if I have any other issues.

I had a new 50 gallon hot water heater replace an old leaking 40 gallon tank. The new water heater is working well. However, the technician did not obtain a permit prior to replacing the water heater. The owner however did obtain a permit after the installation. The over flow valve started leaking after a week or so and the technician did come out to replace it. It has not leaked since. The technician also vented the water heater back through the chimney which was not lined and this was not the best option for this bigger and more efficient tank. The owner did correct this and it is now vented properly. Some things did not go as they should have yet once Mike the owner was aware he corrected them promptly which was very good customer service.

Three women in the house, one bathroom, no hot water makes for a lousy day! Job was done quick, less than an hour. Highly recommend and will use in future.

After checking online and trying to get some reviews of service for various water heater specialists (I joined Angie's List right after this) I called Stan. They promised a call back from the tech that serviced my area within an hour, and it was about 30 minutes. He was busy, but said he would try to get another person there sooner than he could make it. Another call from the other person about 10 minutes later. He arrived in about 20 minutes, got to work and had us in and quot;hot waterand quot; in less than 2 hours, including the time to go and come back with the correct water heater for our needs. Pleasant young man, knew what he was doing, and got it done quickly. It's minor, but he could have done a little more to clean up after the job, but I'd certainly use them again. In fairness, the price was probably very competitive, but compared to doing it myself, they get a B instead of an A.

These guys rock. I Called up, explained my problem (hot water only lasting 5 mins), they had a service guy call me back in 15 mins, then he was able to come out 1-2 hours later and solved the problem. It was Johnny, who was great to work with and super fast to come out and fix the problem being the 'lower element'.

I got an appointment for the next day. Mark accommodated my schedule and showed up right on time. We were worried that we might have to replace our hot water heater, but he was able to repair the leak and fried thermostat on the spot. I'm very pleased with his pleasant attitude and the job he did.

We had another company out to see our water heater and they could not fix it. Stan the Water Heater man came up and quickly replaced the part. When the water heater had problems within the hour. They were back out fixing the problem again around 8pm. We were highly satisfied with their service.

We contacted and quot;Stanand quot; late in the afternoon and got a call back first thing in the morning. Within a couple of hours their serviceman was at our home removing old leaking water heater and installing new one. He worked efficiently and within two hours we were up and running with the new unit. No glitches at all. Would definitely recommend and quot;Stan.and quot;

Unfortunately there was no one available the first day but when Justin came out at the appointed time the following day he quickly identified the problem and although he had to leave for a part by the end of the afternoon we thankfully had hot water again. He was very pleasant and did an excellent job.

Jim arrived on time. He suggested that perhaps I could save money on the kitchen faucet by simply unscrewing the sprayer and purchasing a new one which I could install myself. He called a plumbing supply house to check prices for me. The replacement part was almost as much as the whole new faucet set that I had purchased so I opted to have him install it. I thought that was very customer friendly - trying to save me money - what a concept! He then tested the hot water heater and gave me choices of repair it or replace it. I opted for repairing it. So far so good. Jim was great; really nice guy. Would definitely use again and recommend.

Prompt courteous reply and estimate. Had to delay install for one day due to overrun on previous customer. A bit late the next day but did a good job of getting it installed. Didn't empty water our of try. I would recommend and use again.

Jim came out within a day of my call to provide an estimate. The estimate was significantly lower than the other estimate we received and we were impressed with Jim's knowledge of the system we wanted to install. They scheduled the work promptly and informed us immediately when they learned that our water heater was on back order and we would need to delay the installation by a few days and again when the water heater was delayed a second time with the distributor. I appreciated the continuous line of communication and their availability to reschedule within a few days of the original install date. They also helped us fill out necessary paperwork for State tax credit, manufacturers rebate and Energy Trust incentive. The work was done on time and at the price quoted. We would definitely use them again.

They were able to come in a convient time slot for me. Mark showed up on time. Worked diligently, taking care to cover my newly cleaned carpets with tarps. He had to move my washer and dryer out of the way to get to the hot water heater, and he didn't even charge me! When he was done he explained how it worked, what temperature to set it at, and the code rules for how much clearance it had to have. While I hope not to need them for a LONG, LONG time, I would use them again.
