Stan the Hot Water Man

It went great. Kyle helped process the warranty service with the manufacturer which saved us hundreds. And he was very fair when a return trip was required because they sent him one wrong part. Would definitely call again.

Great! Other companies told me we would need to relocate the Hot Water tank resulting in much higher fees. With this company, a brand new tank was replaced in the exact location of the old. They went over and above what needed to be done.

Had on-call tech call back right away, was told to expect a call Monday morning. Got one but was told Tuesday before they could do the work. Was about to call around more but was called back later and told they could come over right away - someone else had canceled. Was there soon to take measurements and talk about the work. Left for about 2 hours to pick up the tank and parts for his pump to drain it. Came back with the new one and lugged it down. Loved the responsiveness, the tech was patient and communicated well. Thrilled to get hot water again and the price was low. Did not love the mess left behind - water splashed on the carpet and in the basement, tracks from boots and dolly through the living room. Also the gas line on the new, bigger tank sticks out at an angle and looks off. Tech said it'd be fine, I'm skeptical.

Excellent! The hot water heater stopped heating on Thursday night. I called Friday and they worked me in to the schedule for that day. They diagnosed the problem, replaced the broken part and cleaned the water heater.

After calling several plumbers I found out that it would be near impossible to get someone out until next week. I asked for a recommendation of someone they thought would be able to make it out right away. Stan the Hot Water Man was mentioned. I asked my cousin who is a contractor, and he called a couple of plumber he works with. They both recommended Stan the Hot Water Man. So I called at 3am when I got home from work, fully expecting to leave a message on a machine and just get a call back in the morning. I was surprised that a live person answered. She took my info and a gentleman named Brant called me a little after 8am to make arrangements to come out. He was here by 10:30am, diagnosed the problem and had it fixed by 11am. I would definitely not hesitate to recommend them and if I ever need to I will call them first in the future.

This company was very responsive and someone came when they said they would. The repair was a fairly simple one and the fellow (Mark L.) who did the job was very thorough.

They didn't show up when they said they were going to be there, the didn't call, we were stuck waiting all day, and our water heater is still leaking, we waited two days for these idiots to call and tell us why they didn't even call back after not showing.

Excellent, evaluation and price quotes good. Alex described all the types and pros and cons of each brand and what was needed to convert them to existing connections. Worked long hours to complete the job in prep for inspection. Returned in timely manner for small gas leak. Love the hot water, tons of hot water and the reduced natural gas bill.

Johnny contacted me to schedule the job and get the particulars of what needed to be done. Johnny arrived on time the day of the install. We found that it needed a stand to be able to have the drain pan drip properly. Johnny quickly went to pick up a stand and the whole job was done in under two hours. Great Experience .

EXCELLENT! Had an intermittent leak problem with our 7 yr old Tankless (instantaneous) Water Heater (w/ 6 yr warranty). The company that installed no longer serviced this product and they recommended Stan the Hot Water Man. After a little research (great reviews for Stan …), I contacted them via their website and they promptly replied. Everything after that was easy: the tech quickly diagnosed the problem, contacted the manufacturer, and found that the leaking Heat Ex-changer had a 15 year warranty. We ended up with a new unit for the price of the service call & installation. We highly recommend this company. Our service tech (Darin) was very knowledgeable, professional and kept us updated.

Stan's man came out on schedule, removed the old 50 gallon gas water heater and installed the new one, updating all the connections . Gave me all the paperwork, warranty, etc., answered my questions and did an excellent job. Took the old water heater with him as part of the cost.

Best customer service, best repair ever. $140 total cost for service and the part. Feels great have hot water again! Bret from Stan the Hot Water Man is our new superman. Will only call them next time. They were professional, reasonable and knew what they were doing.

This was my first call to Stan the Hot Water Man. They were very responsive through email and phone and the plumber/technician Devin was able to come out at a time that worked with my work schedule. Instead of presuming I would have to replace my water heater, he thoroughly cleaned out the pipe that was preventing air from coming out, which fixed the issue. I'm very happy with their service and highly recommend them.

Gave an informative quote by phone, had another quote, found Stan was competitive, able to set a date and time and replace my old leaking water heater. Actual price was about $44 dollars less than quoted, that has never happened before! All done in about 45 minutes, works perfectly, answered a couple questions on maintenance and he was gone! Perfect!

Brent did a thorough test of the system and explained everything that he was doing and why he was doing what he did. He concluded that the dip tube, thermostat, shower valve, and the flame were working well. He showed me how to tune the temperature control to account for the colder cold water coming into the shower in late winter. In summer the temperature could be dialed back. Brent said that if the thermostat did for some reason malfunction in the next few months, he could return and replace it without charging for a service call. Reason for recommending: He could have tried to sell me an expensive new thermostat, thereby tripling or quadrupling the cost of the service, but instead he gave me an amicably delivered seminar in efficient tank style gas water heater management.

The timeliness of the response was incredible, especially since we were in a break between storms. The service technician was professional and respectful, even when the cause turned out to be simple. We will keep Stan the Water Heater Man on our list for future needs!

Excellent communication and visits by Morgan from this company. I knew when he'd be calling me and when he'd coming, and when he'd arrive. He also communicated really well during each visit (super nice guy). He explained his plan thoroughly. He kept me updated through removal/ installation process and tested/released air and then hot water in all household faucets to confirm all systems working. I observed the outcome was perfect. The install area was cleaned up and pipe connection were pristine. He explained post-install care thoroughly. He was totally receptive to speaker phone TC with my (out of town) spouse to review plan and cost prior to install. Estimate of cost was very reasonable and final cost was even less! Had we done this ourselves (as in past) cost of smaller water heater at our usual favorite discount store would have been MORE. Strong recommendation, this is the company to use for water heater issues, they know what they're doing.

Brent figured out that it was just an element that was out. Other plumbers had told us the tank model was no longer being made and that it was so old we should just get a new one. Turns out they weren't even reading the tag right. It was written with the month and then the year, not the other way around. The tank was only 7 years old and there was really no problem getting the element. Brent was very professional. He called and set up the time. Confirmed it on the day he was to be there, arrived on time and let me know the situation and what it would cost to fix. The next day he got it fixed for exactly the price he quoted- no muss, no fuss. I would definitely use him again!

I called about a month before to get a quote but because my existing hot water heater was still working and I was in no hurry. The gal that answered the phone was extremely nice and said one of the guys would call me back. I got a return call about 20 minutes later from a guy named Darren and he quoted me a price after asking a few questions. I finally got around to making the decision to go ahead and talked to Darren again and he said the price was still good. I asked him if he could provide the same brand of water heater I had because that one has lasted 19 years and he said he could no problem. I talked to him on a Tuesday and he said he could do the job on Thursday. Darren called me on the day he was to show up to tell me he could be early and I told him to come on by. This guy is the nicest most professional guy I have ever had the pleasure to deal with and was very helpful and answered all of my questions. I can't figure out how they are not a continuing super service award member given the great experience I had so take my word for it these people and this business is top notch and very easy to work with and I will recommend them to everyone I know.

He came out and found the problem quickly and repaired it. A filer broke and blocked the flow sensor. He dug the broken pieces out and replaced the filer. He was done in less then half an hour.

I had just had a new water heater installed and it quit working within 12 hours. I was referred to Stan for the warranty work. It turned out that the hot surface igniter had died. They were very courteous and helpful in diagnosing the problem and getting the parts ordered. The parts arrived overnight and the water heater was repaired that day.

I called about three weeks ago to get an estimate on installing a tankless water heater. The lady took my information and said an installer would call me back soon. After ten days, I had received no call back so I decided to call them back. The person apologized that no one had called and she would make sure they contacted me this time. Almost immediately I received a call back from the estimator. After trying to find a time that worked for us both, the gentleman offered to come at 6am, because I need to leave for work by 6:30am. Fast forward to this morning, the estimator shows up at 6:30 as I'm leaving my driveway. Bottom line, all Stan the Water Heater Man did for me was waste three weeks of my time.

All in all, they did well. My disappointment comes in that we had to do this in a hurry for a rental because the old hot water heater was leaking. It all went well in terms of price, professionalism, and the installation. My issue came later in that when I went to see about getting an energy credit, I found out the model unit that was installed was discontinued and probably because it was not a very good energy efficient hot water heater. Normally we would have done more research and I would be more involved in making sure the product was up to my standards, but this was for a rental that my brother owned and I was busy with other things. I was led to believe this water heater would be energy efficient, and compared to the one it replaced it is better, but compared to energy efficient water heaters this one really isn't up to par for my standards. I don't think it even has an energy star rating anymore. I take some responsibility in that I should have done more research, but the time factor got in the way. No energy credit for this product. If you have time, do your research on what product ANY contractor is putting in, but know that this contractor must have a supply of older model hot water heaters. I would use them again, but I would be much more on top of the product and perhaps would supply the product myself.

Called Monday morning. Received return call before noon. Darren asked good questions to understand the situation and called me back later with a firm price. He showed up right on time today and installed the heater quickly. There were a couple of complications that he rolled with and found solutions to.
