Great service - came at agreed time, easy to work with - did a great job. It was also inspected later, with no issues.

Everything went fine. They explained what they were doing and what needed to be replaced.

Great! Jim came out and gave me an estimate. He also did the work. Jim installed the new water heater, put in flexible water and gas lines, fabricated and installed steel earthquake braces and straps. He was a good guy and the installation was extremely professional. He didn't spill a single drop of water, cleaned up the job site and hauled away the old water heater. They had the best price and the best quality installation. If you need a water heater installed, these are your guys. I interviewed other contractors and they all try to upsell you or put caveats in their bids. These guys do the best work at the best price. Call them!

The representative arrived on time with the product agreed upon. He was thorough and complete and reflected extensive experience. The work was completed within the estimated time and he disposed of the old water for no additional charge. I would definitely use this company again for any related service.

Our water heater went on the blitz. Looked on Angie's List for a plumber and was referred by them to Stan the Hot Water Man. Their serviceman Kyle came the same day, determined the problem, and called the heater manufacturer. They Fedexed the parts needed which arrived the next day. We called Kyle and he came over within an hour and installed the replacement parts. Now everything works. The water heater manufacturer paid for the part and the second service call as a result of Kyle's advocacy. Stan the Hot Water Man and Kyle are 100%.

Great experience overall. Would not hesitate to use them again.

I phoned the company on Monday and Scott, the plumber for my area, called me back within 20 minutes. He answered all my questions very knowledgeably as well as patiently, and we set an appointment for Wednesday afternoon. He was just a few minutes outside the window, but I can easily forgive him; right after he looked at the water heater he was replacing, he told me that I had given him the incorrect size over the phone. (I was sure it was a 40 gallon, but it was a 50 gallon.) He had to exchange it, and was very pleasant about it. He was back within an hour and set to work and was all done 1.5 hours later.

On a Friday night after normal business hours, I received a call from my tenant in my Vancouver rental house that the "hot water heater had exploded". I made sure that they had the water turned off and then starting calling Angies List providers. This provider was very highly rated and showed that they had 24 Hours/Emergency Service so called them first. The phone was answered promptly, my information was taken, and I was told that a technician would call me back. I received a call about 15 minutes later, redescribed the situation, and the technician told me that he was fully booked and could get to it on Sunday at the earliest. I declined and found another provider who got it taken care of withing a couple of hours. All my interactions with the company were professional, but if you are in the water heater business and advertise 24 Hour emergency service, you should either provide that, or remove that from your posting.

I had called several companies. Damon from Stan the Hot Water Man was not only the best price (more than $300 below some of the other quotes I had gotten even from other companies on Angie's List) but he was able to do the work the same day. He showed up when he said he would, did a great job and there were no hidden charges or surprises.

The emplacement went great. My original appointment with a different installer rom Stan's never materialized but I decided to give them another chance. Glad I did.

Jim did a fantastic job on this installation! It was made a bit more complicated for a couple of reasons:1) My wife and I were going to be out of town while the work was being done2) We were having our kitchen remodeled, and the general contractor doing that work needed the old water heater removed, and a new power-vent unit installed, so he could remove the old chimney that took up a good chunk of corner real estate in our kitchen. So the water heater had to be replaced while we were gone...and in time to meet our kitchen remodel schedule. Jim came out a week before we left to quote the job. Initially, he'd hoped that we'd be able to use a direct-vent setup - but he wanted to check the code before he'd commit to what we were actually able to do. As it turned out, we'd have to run a pipe up over the roofline for a direct-vent, which just wasn't happening. That meant we had to go with a more-expensive power-vent unit ($1500 vs. $800). We didn't have much choice, so that's what we did. I shared Jim's contact info with our GC, and vice versa, and asked Jim to coordinate with them to get in the house and do the work. Via phone calls, I was able to confirm that the new installation was done well, and as scheduled. I love it when contractors do exactly what they say they'll do! We're really happy with the new unit: lots of hot water, and it's available really quick. The only downside is that the power-vent is pretty loud. We can hear it from our upstairs bedroom (which is over the vent in the side of the house) when it kicks on; it sounds like white noise, so it's not too obnoxious...just noticeable. But we are VERY happy with the service we received, and will wholeheartedly recommend Stan The Hot Water Man - and especially Jim! - to anyone looking for a new water heater.

Jim worked very hard replacing a 25 yr old water heater - very tight fit - he did it all with no damage to the surroundings - went above and beyond by drilling the cover to make it fit - very happy with his work!

The whole experience was very good. I spoke with a number of different vendors and found that "Stan the Water Heater Man" was the lowest price AND had the best ratings on Angie's list. Another large vendor in the Portland area quoted a price that was more than $200 above Stan. Given all the positive comments for Stan on Angie's list and the not as positive comments for the other vendor, I decided to go with Stan. Dale the installer showed up on time and had the work done in the 1.5 hour estimate that he gave me. His initial quote for the install was about $625 but when Dale handed me the bill, the final price was $589! Now that was a surprise! So far, the heater has been working flawlessly.

They fixed the water heater without any problem. They were pretty good. Their price is reasonable.

They checked the circuit and replaced the igniter, two days later condensation dripped on the igniter damaging it. They came back and replaced it. Now it works good.

Scott was simply fantastic. He was thoughtful, flexible and really tried hard to answer our questions about whether to go for conventional , condensing or tankless. He spent a considerable amount of time inspecting our garage and working through with us what each option would entail. Most important of all he spotted that our chimney was already lined and thus managed to halve (yes halve) the prior estimate. Needless to say the work was impecable and I only wish we had found him sooner..........................

I called and got a quote, and they came out two days later. The entire job was done in an hour, which I was very pleased with.

Called several places for an estimate on replacing a 20yr-old, 40 gallon hot water heater with a 50 gallon hot water heater. Stan the Hot Water Man's estimate came in the best, and considering the positive reviews on Angie's list, we chose them without hesitation. They arrived the same day, the installer was very professional, and the job was done under estimate. What more could you ask for!

The service representative gave me an estimate of $800 to replace a 19 year old A.O. Smith 50 gallon water heater and install a new 50 gallon Bradford White water heater. Paid $5.00 less than estimate. The service representative came within the range of time. After the installation he showed me how to relight the water heater. Informed me that they were the representative for Bradford White and would have the warrantee information on file. They would take care of permit requirements. He clean up and carried away the old cinder block stand.

He was timely and efficient. He was there when he said he would be. That was good. I would use them in the future.

I found this company on Angie's List and I can see why. First-rate.
