They painted, put up trim, replaced light fixtures, repaired drywall, and fixed a door. They showed up on time every morning, worked hard, were very careful in their prep and cleanup, and were responsive and kind when I pointed out something specific. Fair price as well. "We were very pleased with the work Ingvalson Painting did on the exterior of our house and the back patio. Both of the guys worked hard and efficiently and in fairly extreme 100+ degree heat. Jake rebuilt our brick stairs so they it look just like new, and Brad was simply heroic in getting to everything especially the stuff up high. Both guys were very pleasant to work with, there were only a couple of things that needed a little extra attention at the end, and they fixed it all up immediately and cheerfully. I was kept fully informed of the schedule, and the original quoted price for the work never changed. I would hire them again if we have any additional painting needs."

You should paint your home exterior every five to 10 years, on average. Climate and surroundings can affect how well paint holds up. Wood siding will likely need a fresh coat of paint every three to seven years. Paint on brick tends to last about eight to 17 years, on average.
Calculate the square footage of the area you want to paint. Divide the square footage by 350 (the average square footage a gallon of paint covers). Multiply the number of gallons you need by two, as you’ll likely be applying two coats of paint. For a more accurate estimate, subtract the square footage of the windows and doors from the initial square footage total.
