First off, the two employees that came to work the first day appeared to work very hard. They hung sheetrock and plastered all day long. But that night, I had noticed they had broken a light fixture and left the glass on the ground, had not removed light switch covers and plug-in covers and had left all of their plaster garbage in place so that my family could not get around in the house without dragging wet sheetrock all over the house. We have a fairly small house. I had also noticed certain walls were completely not done, as if they had forgotten them. I called Scott that night and several times the next day to tell him I noticed some problems. His employees mainly spoke Spanish and very little English. I speak some Spanish and tried to speak to them the next morning about the problems but apparently they did not understand. Our original contract said that we wanted him to take an original wall that had texture, and smooth it out to match the new walls that would be untextured. The second day, at the end of the day, all the walls were textured. Not what we wanted at all. I, again, called Scott with no response, we didn't want them working on our house again until it was resolved. On the third day, he finally called that night. That is when the lying began. First, he said he was out of town, then later in the conversation, he said he was sick. He is obviously a pathological liar. He said they would come the next day and take all of the texture off. We had already bought the paint because he seemed like he would never call us back again. My plan was to wipe the stuff off myself and paint if myself. The next morning, his employee arrived and worked all day wiping the texturing off and then painted. Although, he never painted the ceiling, which was in the contract. Now we have had to paint the ceiling ourselves and re-paint the walls that got ruined when we rolled paint onto the ceiling. I do not understand this company. They have a lot of lack of communication going on with a contractor that has a very bad lying problem. I told him I did not want him near my house and would send him what I found reasonable, since he never painted the ceiling, but instead did all of the walls. He wrote me back a letter saying that I had told him not to paint the ceiling and that I had wanted the walls textured. His own contract states otherwise. He is clearly a problemed person. I am not even touching on the shoddy workmanship they did because of hurrying. They didn't paint all areas twice. At the very end, his employee would not leave without a walk through (at night, while the paint was wet). Our babysitter was here and signed the papers without knowing what he was getting into. Scott, the contractor, did not even recognize that it wasn't my husband at all. When he sent me my final bill, he said that Richard had signed off on the project. Richard is a babysitter, Scott. My husband is Steve!
Description of Work: We had a small room and hallway sheet-rocked, plastered and painted. The final result is horrible and my husband and I have had to sand and re-paint a good portion of what this company did. The main problem is that the owner is clearly a disturbed man. He lied to us so many times that we cannot even count. He finished the project shabbily and acted pompous the whole time. He is what gives contractors a bad name. He should be ashamed of himself for blaming his employees for not speaking good enough English, and he even said one didn't know how to use a computer. Funny, his employee told me he looks for jobs online! He's a racist and a bully!

The workmen were very punctual. I was very impressed with the lengths they went to in protecting the surrounding areas, both during the dry wall phase and the painting phase. The dry wall was installed perfectly and the ceiling textured to match the rest of the room. Once it was painted it was impossible to tell where the work had been done.
Description of Work: We had a water damage on our family room ceiling. The water damage was covered by the home warranty of the builder and they sent out Regal to do the drywall and also to paint once the drywall was done.
