We arrived in the Wilsonville Showroom (45 min drive for us) about an hour before closing. We were helped by a professional salesperson and they had a nice showroom with vignettes set up so you can see what some of the countertop choices look like in a real kitchen setting, which is extremely helpful to me. Due to the lack of time, I felt a little rushed but we picked out a couple of possibilities just to get a rough estimate of what these, or similar materials would cost us. We had already drawn out a layout and measurements of our space. On the following Monday or Tuesday I received a detailed estimate of the work to be performed via email. They are a one stop shopping type of place, which is nice not to have to fuss with the details, but these types of operations tend to cost more, since they sub contract out the work and take their cut. We had gotten 4 estimates all together, Percision was the most expensive, by far. The sales lady had explained that they do hundreds of kitchens a week, so I felt that along with the price tag I might not get the attention I wanted. Mass production. I read reviews on Angies List and spoke with a few people in the trade (none of which I was getting estimates from) and the general opinion was that your result was very dependent on which crew you got. Hit or miss. Some crews did a great job, and some did not. We decided to go with a smaller, well reviewed fabricator and to hire our own plumber. I received a call from our sales person a week or two later to see where were were in our decision process. When I told her we went with a smaller company that had a better bid and great reputation she stated she wished I had called to tell her so she had an opportunity to compete. We were already being quoted a lower rate, we were told, as being a Costco customer, so I felt if she could have bid the job cheaper, she should have done so on the initial bid. Knowing this makes me believe I would not seek out another estimate from them for any future work, feeling they bid high initially hoping you will take the first bid. I also like the more personalized service. Doing hundreds of kitchens a week was not a plus in my eyes.
Description of Work: We were referred to Precision Countertops by United Tile to get help choosing a countertop material for our kitchen update and for a quote for materials and installation.

They were great start to finish! Helpful in the showroom with product information, showed up on time to make the template and later to install the finished countertops and sink. Everything was perfect. Professional, accurate, friendly...really couldn't ask for anything more.

Extremely smoothly/efficient!
Description of Work: Crema Marfil Marble in Two Bathrooms - $3,300 (including installation of three faucets).Quartz in the Kitchen - $4,100 (including minor plumbing) I originally contacted Precision to find out if they had granite remnants for my bathroom update (turned/gut renovation). They did and I selected a very unique white/grey/black pattern. However, I ended up picking a floor/wall tile that clashed. I was working with Molly in the design center and she knew I wanted marble and steered me towards a beautiful Crema Marfil marble to compliment my tile. It is gorgeous with my tile. Molly spent the time necessary to look at my tile and also wood samples with various counter stones. She easily steered me in the right direction (I am not easily sold/steered). Molly also worked with me when I found competing bids for the marble. Molly worked with me when I changed my mind about the product (prior to templating) both times; she is a designer rock in an emotional sea of indecision (shopping for tile is overwhelming). I'm sort of kidding as the whole thing was more fun than anything . Lucas and Mike were my install team and they were extremely efficient/fast and the whole install for two bathrooms was less than two hours (the measuring appointment was very fast); the kitchen also took about two hours. Everything went extremely smoothly. I was so pleased I decided I needed solid surface counters in the Kitchen and I selected a new Quartz product and requested the same team do the installation. Precision worked with me on pricing and were fair in their dealings with me. I had a great experience with Precision Countertops! My neighbor had raved about Crowley's because I guess Precision is so big they get kind of that Corporate reputation--but, I found them to be at the top of their game (a mature business).

We meet with Jodi in the showroom and she was very helpful. So many choices. Even when I was not sure with our original choice , she helped me tweek the original plan. Shortly after that we were put on the schedule. It was really fast. I appreciated the scheduling and everything went well. All the workers that came for each appointment were very professional.
Description of Work: Our whole experience was wonderful. From the very first appointment, to the very last one, everyone was very professional and kept me informed of every process. They were always on time and cleaned up after each appointment. I would use them again and recommend them to any one. This was the second time we used their services and will do so again. They put in new counter tops in the kitchen , and both baths. Also back splashes and tub surounds.

I went to the showroom to pick out the countertop. The salesperson that helped us wanted to speed it along so she actually came and measured it herself on her way home. She went above and beyond because that's not her job. They were superb and did a great job. The first guy that came in to do the template did one minor error but they fixed the problem fast.

Our experience from selecting the counter to installation was exemplary. We had a discount coupon to use Precision to select a counter for our powder room. vanity. The showroom was busy, but we were assisted within a few short minutes. After a brief consultation was sent home with samples. The scheduled measurement and installations appointments were on time...with the fellows working effeciently and curteously. Countertop is beautiful!

1st of all I highly recommend going directly through Precision Countertops (PC). Yes Home Depot (HD) uses PC for the installation and some of the materials, but that is where it ends. When you buy through HD they are the general contractor and they supply some of the materials and select the subcontractors of which PC is one. I know because I started trying to buy through HD and even though this was a big project, HD was fairly unresponsive to my subsequent calls and visits. I later discovered that by going directly through PC, they were the general contractor which made a huge difference in my case. They also used better materials, there was a much bigger selection of tile for the backsplashes, and I was able to take advantage of clearance pricing on remnant pieces of Silestone. HD was going to supply the sinks, faucets, and I'm not sure about the tile from their stock or normal suppliers. PC supplied name brand sinks and Grohe faucets, both of which were included at no charge when remnants are used in a bathroom. If you have ever looked at fixtures at a plumbing supply store that carries Grohe you know that they are made in Germany of very high quality and are very expensive. The 1st step of the project was selection of materials and signing the contract. This is when I discovered the importance of getting an itemized bill. PC will gladly provide it, but only after you ask for it. Although the total project cost seemed reasonable and came to what was quoted, the itemized bill showed areas where costs were much higher than they needed to be. I shopped around and found that I could supply the sinks, faucets, water purifiers etc. substantially cheaper than they were going to charge, and I had a much bigger choice of styles and materials. The only catch to getting the items on my own was that everything had to be at my house prior to the team coming out to create the countertop template. On a project of my size I was able to work with a local plumbing supplier that guaranteed delivery and gave me contractor pricing. I ended up saving about $1000 and was able to get exactly what I wanted, most of which was not available through PC. PC had sent me to a plumbing supply that they work with quoting special discounts if it was billed through PC. The reality was I was going to be charged the Manufacturer's List Price! The 2nd step was tearing out my old countertops and backsplashes so the templates for the new countertop could be made. This is done by a subcontractor, but the one working on my job worked exclusively for PC. The crew was fast, very easy to work with, and left my house cleaner than they found it. The person doing my template was extremely precise and left nothing to chance. We discussed a modification that would have to be made to the cabinet doors for my appliance garage because the Silestone is thicker than the tile that was previously there. A special cabinet person was called in to take care of that and he did a great job. It was at this phase of the project that I was casually told and quot;Of course you realize that the Silestone sits on top of the cabinets whereas the tile had a lip. This means that the portion of the cabinet that the lip previously covered would now be exposed and most likely didn't have any stain on it.and quot; No, I had no idea! No one had told me anything about that until that point. A quick call to the project manager fixed everything. He offered to put a lip on ALL of our countertops at no charge. This is usually an expensive option. I was flabbergasted; problem solved! Later I inquired about the cost to make the lip decorative, and the same manager charged me only $60 for the kitchen and laundry rooms. That was an unbelievable price, especially considering that my laundry room counter is the size of most kitchens, and my kitchen counter is the size of 2 average kitchens. The only reason I gave them a B for pricing is because of the cost they were going to charge me for the sinks, faucets, etc. Next 2 tile men were sent out to repair my sheetrock behind my backsplash. In the kitchen the backsplash ran from the countertop all the way to the upper cabinets everywhere, not just above the stove. When the tile had been removed most of the sheetrock went with it. In the laundry room the backsplash was about 9and quot; high and most of the sheetrock was removed there too. On this day the tile men had 2 things to do: repair all of the sheet rock, and fix the hole in my island countertop. My island is porcelain tile, and it had a white porcelain sink in it. My new sinks were black composite, and of course the one for the island didn't quite fit right; it didn't have a big enough rim to cover the edge of some of the tiles. After much research I found only 2 choices: I didn't want to paint the old sink black, so I chose to replace just 2 of the tiles that go to the edge of the sink so that all of the edges would be covered. That tile had been installed 16 years ago and was no longer available, but I had wisely kept 1 full piece, and several cut pieces, so this option was doable. This is where I ran into my 2nd problem. The men started replacing the sheet rock 1st. I tried to get them to deal with the tile around the sink 1st because I knew that was going to be difficult and I didn't want them tired. They insisted on doing all of the sheet rock 1st, and complained constantly about not knowing that there was so much sheet rock to be replaced. They also told me they had to finish that day because they had another job the next day. The day wore on and they got tired, but my tile hadn't been dealt with. Finally we reviewed the problem, I showed them their options, I told them I wanted to keep ALL pieces of tile left over and removed, then they removed and replaced my tile. After they left it was no better than before! They did replace 2 tiles, but of the 2 options they had they replaced 1 tile from option 1 and 1 tile from option 2. To make matters worse, they took all but 2 partial pieces with them when they left. There now was very little to work with. Even worse was the mess that they left for me to clean. There were other issues with these guys, but space here is limited. Again I called my project manager and I was told the tile would be fixed with the install of the backsplash. 2 weeks later I was scheduled for the countertop installation. When the installer didn't show up as scheduled, I contacted the project manager. It seems that on the final inspection (the morning of the install), a flaw was found on 1 section of my kitchen counter (there were 4 pieces). They would need to remake 3 of the pieces so they would fit together properly. Not even the installer (same contractor that made the template) was informed until he showed up to pick up the materials. I appreciate their perfectionism, but I had been without my kitchen and laundry room for 2 weeks and was anxious to get them back. Ultimately we had to reschedule the kitchen, but the laundry room and bathrooms were done as planned. The day after the countertops were installed, the plumber was sent out to install the sinks and faucets. Two trips were now necessary, but we weren't charged extra. Next the kitchen counter was installed and it looked beautiful. The plumbing was connected except for the island sink. Then came the tile guys. The same 2 as before and I wasn't happy. I asked for my tile pieces, but they had disposed of them. They worked from 9 am to 9 pm just installing the kitchen and laundry backsplashes. (The bathrooms were Silestone and were done with the counters.) The grout was a mess, and I had to ask them to replace several of the tiles. When I asked why they used some damaged tiles I was told and quot;that's what they gave meand quot;, but I knew they had an extra box just for this purpose. When it was time to fix the tile around the sink all I got was excuses as to why it wasn't their fault. I called their boss, or so I thought, who spent 2 hrs fixing the grout, after which he called his best guy to finish the job. It turns out the guys were subcontractors, of PCs subcontractor! As good as the countertop guys were is how bad these tile guys were. I refused to have them at my house again. Someone else PC hired directly came to install the backsplash in the laundry room. And a different person still finally fixed the tile around my sink. PC was all apologetic. After that I found a flaw in 1 of the bathroom sinks. This job was expensive and I wanted it replaced. The plumber was sent back out to replace the sink, and installed my kitchen island sink at the same time. Next I noticed the tile in the laundry room wasn't smooth to the touch, but rough in that the edge of 1 tile wasn't quite in alignment with the next tile, so it felt rough and looked wavy. This time another person from PC came out to inspect the job. He agreed with us and allowed us to pick a new tile in the same price range to be installed in place of what we had. Now all through this project I reminded everyone at PC that I wasn't in a hurry (except when I didn't have a usable kitchen or laundry room), and would rather wait for a high quality job. I was repeatedly thanked for my patience. This man was no exception and offered that he had something special in mind for us when everything was finally done. Another tile man was sent out to remove the bad tile, fix the sheet rock and install the new tile. It looked beautiful. Finally we were done, and I'm very happy with the results! Did I ever hear from anyone at PC again? NO. What happened to the promise of something special for us? It's in the wind. Bottom line: Choose your general contractor carefully. I'm glad I used PC. A project of this kind will always have bumps. It was nice to have someone to expeditiously resolve them. Make sure everything is in writing. Get an itemized bill. Stay home while the work is being done. There is no substitute for catching problems before it's too late to fix them.
Description of Work: Replaced 2 countertops, backsplashes, sinks & faucets in a Jack 'n Jill bathroom. Replaced the countertop, backsplash, sink & faucet in a laundry room. Replaced 1 countertop, modified a 2nd countertop, replaced the backsplash, 2 sinks, 3 faucets, water purifier, instant hot water, reinstalled 2 garbage disposers, modified a cabinet door, & added a trim piece in a kitchen. All countertops were replaced with Silestone and 3 of the 4 were remnants saving me significant money. This was a partial remodel in all areas: the original cabinets & dishwasher remained in place, and the cooktop was reused. The microwave/vent had just been replaced (great planning on my part, but redoing the kitchen was the result of project sprawl). The double ovens were unaffected and remained.

We worked with Precision to install Granite Countertops in our remodel. We had one small snafu with the original appointment for the template and Angela with Precision took immediate responsibility for it, apologized profusely and worked with us to reschedule the appointment for a time convenient for us without having to move our original installation date. I was extremely impressed with the team that came out to template and install. When we did the template we made some changes to the island counter-top that would require additional support. We have under counter storage and the support would affect the opening and closing of the doors, we discussed different options and came up with a solution that did not require us to make modifications to the doors. That afternoon Angela called to verify the changes and ensure we were aware of the additional cost. Installation went well, they were there when they said they would be and called ahead of time to let me know the approximate arrival time. The install was quick and professional, they discussed how to care for the counter-tops and walked us through how they attached the sink and how long to wait before connecting the plumbing. I was extremely impressed with the customer service I received and use this experience to measure customer service from other companies - so far no one has come close!!

We met with Molly Switzer several times at Precision Countertops to discuss our counter top. We used Pratt and Larson for our custom tile selection and referred our choice to Molly who co-ordinated the installation to their installer. The countertop measurements and installation was peerless. Our only problem with the installation was that the person who installed the back splash did not co-ordinate with us the date and time of installation. We might have not been home when he came to our house. However, he did a great job.

I would give them the lowest rating I possibly could. First of all, I left about three phone calls for them to call me back and they never did. Then I finally drove about fifty miles to go to them and when I got there, the lady that I missed it was very obvious that she did not have time for me; she wanted to be doing something else. When you deal with these warehouses like that, where they sell slabs of granite and you go to see one, you would not pay $2000 or $3000 for that slab. Everybody else that I had dealt with was more than happy to take the machine, set that slab out and put two or three so that you could compare them. She would not do it. I found out, two of the lower bids for replacing the countertops in my kitchen because they were going to use that company as their supplier. And I am not going to play that game. I would give them the lowest possible rating I can. I would never go to them again.

- My wife and I loved working with Precision Countertops. We have lived in Naval housing most of our lives. This was our first chance to really make our house our own. After 10 years in the house and helping two kids through school, this was our first major remodel/upgrade. Cortney was great in helping us. My wife had some ideas of what she wanted to see. Her and Cortney went back and forth and put together a great kitchen design. They have some different backsplashes already put together on some small boards that can be taken out to the granite slabs. (You can also make your own backsplash design.) One design just really impressed my wife so we ran with it. - We put a deposit down to reserve the granite we liked. This held it for the time it took for our housing refi to complete. Once we got funding, we went back in and signed the paperwork. They worked with us on how and when we paid for what. That really helped set up a level of trust. - Our kitchen was in various states of disrepair for over a month, when you count templating, granite installation and backsplash installation. The kitchen was usable during all that time, except for maybe two days. Most of that was caused by the fact we were taking out the old electric downdraft range and installing a new dual fuel downdraft range. (She got the kitchen, I got the gas stove and electric oven.) - The most frustrating part of the project was that the backsplash installation was delayed about two weeks because the Travertine tile did not arrive on time. It was a bummer, but Christina seemed to be all over it. This caused us to live out of boxes a bit more than we wanted, because we did not want to throw a bunch of stuff on the countertops just to pack them up again. From what I have heard, 5-6 weeks is a very small amount of time for kitchen work. ----Overall...we would do it again and work with Precision Countertops again. They have a great selection of granite, tile and sinks. They also have a really good group of people in the office and more good people that come to the home. Nothing goes perfect. Stuff happens, but the folks at Precision Countertops worked with us when stuff happened. ----BZ to all.
Description of Work: - Provided the granite, sink and backsplash. Precision Countertops had the best selection of granite we saw. We went to a few different places that all seemed to have some similar white, black, brown or golden granite. Many had the same names. Precision Countertops had many different color granites. My wife wanted something really special. We ended up chosing some Brazilian granite called Red Amazon. WOW is it gorgeous!! We also chose a black granite composite sink and some really nice Travertine tiled backsplash with red, coffee and tan 1" tile accents. - Cortney helped us narrow down our choices of granite and compared them to a new sink, back splash, edge finishing and the kitchen look in general. She did Great and indispensible . - Christina was our project manager. There was a bit of miscommunication to start, but we got it worked out. She set the schedule and got the folks where they needed when they needed. There was a mixup with the backsplash and the tiles did not come in on time. She stayed on the tile folks and got things going well. - Joe worked with us in laying out the granite. He helped us match the granite and layout, using the best parts of the granite's style and quartz. - The granite installers did a great job with the sink and countertops. The granite we purchased had a bunch of veins and movement. We were warned that there may be issues moving the granite into the house (lots of stairs), especially where they had to cutout the sink. The installers put metal bars on both sides of the granite to move it into the house, but there was a crack that happened on both sides of the sink, all along the same vein. Their repair was great. - The granite installers also gave some advice about how the faucet we were planning on reusing would look. My wife and I took their advice and purchased a single hole faucet instead of a three hole. - The installers also worked with me and some other contractors to get the old electric stove out and install a new gas stove. It would have gone much more smoothly had there only been the countertop guys, but they were flexible and worked with me and the other guys. - The backspash took two days. One day to install and another day to grout. He was not too thrilled about the layout we had selected...pretty much every tile needed to be cut, but after some questions, he pushed forward. WOW!! He did GREAT work. When completed, he even took some pictures for his own records.

It dragged out a little bit. They did a good job and I would probably have them back. The guy was a good installer and he does most of their installations. He did a good job and when we weren't happy with an aspect of it, they came out and fixed it. They also put in our window moldings which had to come out to do the job. We had already bought the materials and he did the labor, which was not required. He did a good job on it. He didn't get paid to do that; he did it on his own. Their prices were a little high.

In choosing my granite slabs, Jodi (my salesperson) was most helpful in guiding me through their huge warehouse of granite slabs and in making choices that matched my existing oak cabinetry. In making the initial cuts on the slab, however, the slab cracked and was unusable. However, Precision was able to locate an identical piece in another of their stores and have it trucked in for my order. Joe was responsible for laying out the pattern to maximize the coherence and appearance of the grain and colors throughout all four of the counters, and he did a beautiful job. The templating, tear-out, and installation was managed by Lucas, who was simply excellent--very knowledgeable, professional, prompt, reliable, friendly, and a very nice guy. I can't say enough about him, as he discovered several complications in the tear-out and was able to remedy them in a way that didn't impact the installation and that left me with a very beautiful outcome. The other contractors that Precision used (an electrician to re-route some wires in the island) and a plumber to install the sink, dispensers, faucets, and cook top were all first rate--and all were reliable, professional, and knowledgeable. I couldn't be happier with the outcome, and I'll definitely contact Precision again when it's time to redo the bathrooms. For now, I'm just sitting in my kitchen, smiling...
Description of Work: I hired Precision Countertops to remove my existing laminated kitchen counter tops and my tile island and to install 67 sq ft of granite counters, 32 sq ft of tile backsplash, a granite/composite sink, faucets, garbage disposer, hot water dispenser, soap dispenser, and cook top.

My neighbor had warned me about Precision Countertops Inc and their work, but he did a beautiful job. The work was excellent. He cut and trimmed the splash board around the window and the whole splash board that went in was one piece and there was no other piece and it fit right in exactly and he did a good work. Then when he did it in the back splash in the ceramic that is around the stove, a wall of tile came down to the back splash and them he cut a groove on the top of the corian that fit exactly and there was no gap at all. It was a beautiful work that he did. I would rate him high overall. He was professional and was on time. He did a beautiful work. He finished the work on time and didn't complain that he had to stay late to do the work. He didn't make us feel bad about anything. Their price was reasonable. The quality of work was excellent. I would use them again in the future if needed.
Description of Work: I used Precision Countertops Inc for installation of countertops. The last time I used them was a month ago.

I was explained the process ahead of time and that I would not have the use of the kitchen for 2 weeks and they suggested alternatives to use other parts of my home as my kitchen.

prompt; very professional; well done except for one carbuncle. the single end-splash is comprised of a rectangular piece that appears to be put in as an afterthought. The entire counter has half bullnose (top) and bullnose (bottom) edges except this one piece. when i inquired of the company, i was told, while the company had installed the other profile side-splashes, what we received is "industry standard". we had anticipated all the top edges would be half, or, bullnose as we had specified. this was not the case.
Description of Work: provide estimate for, fabricate and install custom counter-tops over new base cabinets.

We had a lot of trouble with them on the splashguard and I wouldn't use them again. They recommended that we take our splashguard down and replace it with something else and the way they replaced it was very sloppy. We had to have them come out and fix it and they didn't. They didn't return our calls. We finally got it done but it took months. The countertops they did fine but it was the splashguard that was the problem. They did a good job on countertops and sink. They were fine in terms of punctuality and did everything that they said they would. The only problem was with the splashguard.
Description of Work: They took out our tile countertops and replaced them with new ones. They also put up the splashguard and a new sink.

Originally, I went directly to the Precision Countertops showroom and got a quote on my vanity top with an undermount sink. To compare prices, I also found the same Silestone material at Home Depot which I later found out that they just use Precision Countertops anyway to do all the work. Oddly though, the price through Home Depot was notably less than going direct to PC. Also, PC just gave me a lump sum bid with an itemized list of what that included. At Home Depot however, they break down the cost of everything on the bid so you can decide "uuuuh no, I think I'll skip rounded bullnose edge over the standard square for the $22 extra per linear foot." I really liked that because it changed my mind on a couple of things. Anyway, overall the project came out great. Scheduling with Precision was very smooth and timely. The guys that did the template and install were incredibly nice, professional and courteous. They called ahead when they were within 30 minutes of arriving -- or to let me know when they were going to be toward the latter end of the window. Very comprehensive on having me know what was happening and approving the overall design template. Install went without a hitch and end result is stunning. Even the plumbing hookup a few days later went seamlessly.
Description of Work: Had an existing solid bathroom vanity top removed and replaced by a Silestone top built and installed by Precision Countertops.
