Change a plug location for our new stove, sorted out a bad switch in the basement. First part went great, second part was more a a challenge. this is a hundred year old house where some parts have been done, "creatively"... Their electrician was patient and solved the problem. wish it could have been done a little faster and a little cheaper but the quality of the workmanship was great and the problem solved by them going the extra mile.

My only complaint was with the office staff. The person who answered the phone was brusque and fairly impatient. I had to speak to her a couple of times for an explanation and she could benefit from some customer service empathy in her manner

We had a electrical short where an outlet that was fused and was tripping the circuit breaker. He found the problem, correct it and everything was fine afterward. It took him about 2 hours. He had to track down the problem, it was in the wall and it concerned 3 additional rooms. He was knowledgeable and knew what he was doing. They told us when they would be here and they showed up on time.

Moved one wall plug and installed a floor plug in the living room which took most of the time. I bought the first two hours for $99.00 but the next hour was charged at $145.00 and the next hour at $95.00.Steve was very careful about drilling a hole in our hardwood floor which took alot of time in measuring but the result was excellent. I was charged for 3.75 hours.

Randy came over and did a great job. Very friendly and professional. There was a slight misunderstanding about something that my husband asked me to call about later and the person who answered the phone had the owner call me back. Before I knew it he had taken care of the problem and was more than fair about it. I was very pleased with that aspect of their professionalism, needless to say. Would absolutely use them again.

I wasn't entirely sure what I was going to have Dekorte Electric do when they arrived. I needed another outlet in the kitchen, had some ideas of my own regarding adding an outlet to the baseboard area, and needed to eliminate circuit breaker switch offs. Dekorte listened to my needs, then came up with a fantastic idea of adding the outlet to the back splash of my counter... brilliant, yet such a simple solution! I absolutely love the outlet. It covers all of my needs, it's on its own circuit so no more breaker issues. One tiny complaint is an extra drill hole, which I discovered later, next to the new outlet, barely noticeable. I don't mind the hole, but would have appreciated them mentioning it up front. Their idea for outlet placement has proven to be a wise one. I use the outlet often, and know it will benefit me long into the future. Overall, extremely pleased. Dekorte Electric offered great service from scheduling, to arrival, to completion. They were efficient, professional, and completed the job in the amount of time offered in their Angie's Deal. I would definitely hire them for future electrical work.

They came out three or four weeks after I purchased the "Big Deal" and I was not overly thrilled with their service. I did pay them extra for extra service that they provided me. There's nothing that stood out on the service.

the serviceman was incredible. gave me a number of choices on how to execute the project based on my requirements. He was swift in his work and concerned about the setting before during and after the work was completed. He swept and cleaned the area prior to start of work, and finished with sweeping up after wards. HE purchased the permit and scheduled an equitable date for the inspector to show up. he did such a good job that the inspector even complimented the work being done. I plan on using DeKorte again next spring when they will be installing ceiling fans through my house. Excellent work done at a good price in an extremely timely fashion. How could i not be happy with that?

Arrived on time, got right to work in order to maximize his time and my coupon for 2 hrs for $99 which was a terrific bargain. I planned on paying extra to accomplish all the electrical work I had planned. He went over the costs of the various types of plugs and switches and advised me appropriately and I chose the type I wanted in the various locations around the house. I did notify the them when I set up appointment that I would require quite a few of the white outlets so that we didn't run into s supply issue in the midst of the job. He was well stocked. It was necessary to schedule another day to finish work and I was easily able to get appointment two days later? I would definitely use this company as well as the Electrician, Steve again. He was very professional and nice. He worked steadily moving from room to room and did a very professional job. I am very satisfied.

He showed up and did his work quickly and independently.

It turned out great. It was wonderful. I thought they were excellent all the way round. They were right on time.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. They were right on time and communicated well. They were flexible. The fellow was very informative. It was a good experience. It didn't cost anymore than the coupon.

Great! The electrician was on time and courteous. The workmanship looks great and everything was clean when the work was done.

Basically all the repairs went well. The time involved took a bit longer than expected but was completed in one visit. I would recommend them to others.

I called three time based on a referral from a friend. Left a brief description on what I wanted to have done. No call back. No response. Saw one of their trucks with phone number so checked to make sure I had the right number. I did.

I had an estimate done, and then scheduled the work. We had to reschedule a couple of times based on his need, but the rescheduling wasn't a problem. He seemed to think it was going to take somewhere around 4 hours, and when we came back to the table, he said, "No, this is a 4 hour job. This is what I'll do." I had asked him for reduction in the hourly rate because of some of the early problems, to which he readily agreed. I had purchased used lights without all the proper hardware and he didn't have all the parts necessary, so I ran to the hardware store that day. He proceeded with the install, along with the help of an apprentice, and was done in good order. There was some mess left afterward and to some degree, he seemed in a hurry. Whether that was due to it being end of day, or trying to speed things along so as not to overcharge, I don't know. He does a lot of commercial accounts and this is his first time using the coupon so I think he got a little bit overwhelmed by the response. A good thing - too much business! The coupon is a little vague too, and I in the future I suggested to him - and to AL - that permits should be included or spell out better, and that almost everything requires a minor permit. This would avoid confusion on the part of the homeowner or coupon purchaser. * [ * - edited by member from phone review] UPDATE: We seemed to have a problem with the lights, so I called Ken's office. He called back and left a message to which we responded next day. He made room in his schedule to come out that very afternoon and check out the situation. Turns out the problem was on us, the homeowner (embarrassingly enough). He should /could have charged us, but in the spirit of goodwill, he did not. I appreciate his honesty and willingness, his professionalism and knowledge. He is very experienced in the Portland area and proud of his work. Based on this this service call and our conversation, I would call Ken again to look at our needs in the future.

Very professional and helpful. Worked quickly and very customer service oriented

The electrician was on time and very friendly. He also wore booties to protect the newly refinished hardwood floors. I had a laundry list of electrical things that need to be done before the sale of my house and all were completed and brought up to specification.

I used a deal and got 2 hours of service for the price of one. Everything was done nicely. There was good communication throughout. I have used this service again recently as I was happy with the work done prior.

It went great. He was done before my time was up. So I had him fix another outdoor lighting problem in the front of my house.

I purchased Big Deal of 2 hours electrical service for $111.00. Steve arrived on time, but was surprised that this was an older house and that he was to install the GFIC rather than to convert existing circuit, and that he was to add over-sink circuit. Although I had clearly indicated the required work in my coupon message on Angie's list, and in my conversation with the office, this was not adequately explained to Steve. Nonetheless, he set to work and figured out how do it all in an old house with limited physical access. Before he started he explained that it would undoubtedly take longer than the 2 hours purchased with the Deal, and the hourly charges for time beyond the deal. This had also been explained to me when I talked with the office to schedule the appointment. Steve was very professional in both his attitude and his work. I am pleased with the results.

I was given and estimate of how long and much it would cost. It took longer and cost a lot more than I expected and I was very upset. I think the charges were inflated for what I got and it does not work easily. The timer was to be simple but it's not and I wanted a plug for the light which I cannot use because it doesn't fit in the box. I am tired of these deals and then getting ripped off. It was no deal.

Everything was fine and it went very well. He's on time, very friendly, professional, got the work done, found the problem and did the good job. He was really good. I purchased it and then they sent me an e-mail I think within the next day or 2 and then I responded. I called them and then it was about 4 business days later that he came out over a weekend. I just paid the price of the Big Deal.

Electrician came to house to fix my outlets; embarrassing the outlets were never broken. On the fly had the electrician ground a couple outlets, he did a nice job.

It went well. Be ready to start as soon as the electrician walks in. They don't give you time to ask many questions or get an idea of the time it will take to complete the work. Good value, however. And he worked fast.
