I accessed Angies List yesterday for the name of an electrician in our area, I found Dekorte Electric (also known as ON Electric) nearby. I called them and an electrician came out this morning, quickly found the problem and fixed it., which was an electrical receptacle that had one wire burned out. We were very impressed with the fast response. The electrician, Tyson, was very professional and friendly, took his shoes off each time he entered our home, and left things as neat as he found them. We definitely would use this company again and would request Tyson.

Great! Got it fixed. Tyson came out on time and figured out what was wrong and got it fixed. He was also super nice and courteous. He explained what was wrong in layman a terms. Second time we have used them. Highly recommended!

Excellent. Practical solutions were offered and implemented, at a readonable cost.

Electrician struggled to figure it out but finally got the light to work. Took longer than it should have and then were billed for more than we should have. Went back and forth with the billing dept and finally received a refund for the overbilling.

I used them before and was delighted with their work and was equally delighted with my most recent experience. They will be my go-to electricians for life. I was able to get the work done quickly and pass the city inspector's review without a lot of hassle. Totally wonderful experience.

Ken is simply the best. He came out immediately on a Sunday, solved my issue in less than an hour, and was extremely professional. Given that I had attempted DIY, he even let me watch and game me a lesson.

the electrician studied the requirements needed for the project from the manual I provided. He physically came to my home and inspected the sight to see what was needed so he would not be spending any extra time on the job. The company stayed with the quote they gave me for the job. He was able to hide the wire under my deck and make the installation look very professional. He followed the manual perfectly and when the hot tub would not start up, he rechecked everything in the manual I provided and finally recommended I contact the spa company to check into it. He told me that if he had done anything wrong to contact him and his company would stand good for any damages. The electrician noticed some abnormalities in my junction box from service I received from a different company years ago, fixed the problem, bringing everything up to code at no extra charge. The spa company came out and determined that the spa pump had a small leak and had frozen a baring which was the cause of the problem. I would highly recommend this company, they are straight forward, honest and do quality work.

One of the fans was shipped during the January snow storm and did not arrive as expected by the installation date. Despite the inclement weather, the electrician from Dekorte arrived in a timely manner and cheerfully & efficiently installed one fan. He then returned the following week to install the second fan. However, they gave us a price break on the second installation since we had initially planned to have both fans installed at once. The price was competitive and their customer service was excellent. The scheduler was especially helpful and understanding of our needs in the process. Dekorte also made an emergency visit to our son's home this winter when an overloaded outlet started to melt and their electrician promptly rewired the circuit and replaced the outlet for them. He was professional, knowledgeable and concerned--explaining the problem and correcting it promptly as well as providing preventive measures for the future. The cost was very reasonable and they were very happy with both the electrician's service and how quickly they responded.. We will certainly hire Dekorte for any future electrical needs and recommend them to others.

The electrician, Ken, is a really clever fellow and took only minutes to isolate the issue. He was friendly, professional and efficient. He fixed everything and was in and out quickly so I only had to pay the cost for the first hour. I also got a $25 credit off my bill as an Angie's list customer. I felt like it was my lucky day. Next time I have an electrical issue I will definitely call them again.

It ended up being much more involved than I imagined and of course cost more than I expected. Still I felt it was good work, a reasonable price, and Ken was a hoot. We were happy to take advantage of an Angie's List coupon offer that saved us a little money too.

Perfectly. The front office was pleasant and scheduled things very efficiently. The electrician, Steve, arrived promptly, did excellent work and was a top notch professional in every sense of the word. DeKorte got us scheduled far faster than any other comparable electrician here on Angie's List and they exceeded my expectations. Consider me a very satisfied customer. I will not hesitate to use their services again and I will heartily recommend them to any local friends who need electrical services.

We contacted two other companies for estimates. One never called back after promising to over three weeks' time. The other took three weeks just to schedule the estimator then we waited one week for the estimate which we never received. DeKorte happened to have an opening the day we called and fit us in. Steve installed all the closet lights that day. We are delighted with his recommendations for the fluorescent lights and for the new outlet and switch on the deck. It was a pleasure working with DeKorte.

Ken was a pleasure to work with (I assisted him with pulling wires and had excellent give-and-take with problem-solving). He was collaborative in involving me in decision-making. He is truly an expert at what he does, in terms of understanding what's needed, thoroughly visualizing the project including possible pitfalls and circumventions thereof, working efficiently and precisely, and planning his use of time to a T. After project was done, the City of Portland inspector volunteered his opinion that Ken always did his work in the proper way and would stand behind it if there were any problems. Office staff were friendly and accommodating on the phone, and figured out how to get me a service appointment on short notice to fit in with my other contractors' work schedule. Ken didn't have all the supplies needed on his truck, but was able to tell me what to get at Home Depot that saved him time (his time is more expensive than mine!) and bypassed his markup on the stuff he otherwise would have had to sell me. Cost for this day-plus project was substantial, but seemed fair.

Went very well. They were punctual, competitively priced, and efficient.

The estimator Steve was wonderful! Steve listened to my concerns and offered solutions. I previously interviewed 2 other electrical companies, neither listened to what we wanted to do and said the only solution was to rewire the entire house (even though Steve pointed out the knob and tube in the basement was already disconnected and capped). I received my bid the same day and it was very reasonable. Thank you Steve!

terrible. worker bent my new $800.00 light fixture before installation. I had to have another electrician from another company fix it. Dekorte Electric worker also installed two of the ceiling lights incorrectly, I believe on purpose, so he could add more time to the job so he could bill more. He installed the two ceiling lights on the old hardware and left a gap of about 2 inches between the light and the ceiling. When I told him that was completely unacceptable, he then complained that he was going to have to undo it and go out to his truck to get different cross-bars that would work. I was pretty astounded by that point. I could not wait for this guy to leave. He also charged me travel time (he stopped at my house first from his house on the way to the Dekorte office and charged me mileage!). I picked this company because they advertised they were "Christians". I will NEVER fall for that "line" again!

It went as well as it could. Leroy was gracious and professional. He even refused a tip for finishing so quickly. Had I followed the other company's suggestion, it would have cost several hundred dollars more and it wouldn't have been a true correction. However, Dekorte dos an EXCELLENT job and I will be asking for Leroy whenever I have electrical issues.

I called to get a ball-park estimate on what it'd cost to update our old ballasts to the newer ones. Shawn the office manager's attitude wanted all my personal info (address, email, phone number) - but wouldn't provide any helpful specifics that'd help me decide on hiring them to do the job. For instance, she said "there might be an additional $50 certificate charge" because "some jobs require certification." So I asked "would my kind of job require a certificate?" She says, "Well, I wouldn't know that." So I asked "Can I speak with someone who would know?" She says "No, we don't work that way." She did not offer to have anyone (who would know) call me back. My take-away: This company seems unwilling to provide specific information on the cost of a job. Obviously I will not be doing business with them.

Ken was awesome. ?Not only did he install but relabeled my circuit panel. He also came on the 4th of July to accommodate our time frame. ?We will use Ken again for sure!

Ceiling fan was not functioning with remote. Unknown to us was that someone (probably a grandchild) had moved the power switch on the wall to the off position. This switch had been on for over 25 years. Leroy came in and and hit the switch and the fan responded although the remote needed a new battery. How embarrassing! With a new battery the remote worked and the fan worked. Instead of a $400 charge it was only $105. Leroy was friendly, courteous and professional and we would use Decorate Electrical again.

The office person was very responsive and friendly in finding a convenient time for the estimate visit to our house. The estimator was prompt (early, actually), courteous, pleasant and professional. I felt a high level of confidence in the proposal, but the price was significantly higher than two others provided by equally reputable companies. Some differences in strategic approach to the job probably accounted for the difference. We were very favorably impressed by the company otherwise, despite choosing another contractor.
