They moved all our furniture and did a great job.

Moda Movers sent out a representative to give an estimate for a move in September 2020, he was punctual and very professional. We decided to use them for our move. The moving crew came on time and packed up the furniture and appliances and delivered them without any problems. The final bill was less than the estimate which was a pleasant surprise! We highly recommend Moda Moving!

Very shady business practices! Will never recommend to anyone. Quote to us was 2 hour minimum and each hour is 115. It includes 2 guys and a truck. We found them through angie's list and thought it woud fit us well. All we need is some help with big furniture and our new place is very close and is just right cross the street. We lived in a 2 bedroom place and there is not much furniture. After we signed up, they changed the terms last minute. They told us the quote is 3 hours minimum late in the afternoon right before the scheduled moving date. The move took over 5 hours! They sent the slowest people to move a 2 bed room condo with minimal furniture cross the street! We ended up paying way more than expected! That is very bad business practice! Please be ware!

General manager of Moda Moving Company, Randy, was very kind and accomodating. Moda Moving Company was able to work with me to meet my individual moving needs. The movers showed up on time, no items were damaged. Moda employee Claudia was very professional, with excellent customer service skills. She empathized and made us feel heard with our moving needs and concerns.

The people on the phone and the movers were nice people, but the damage to my furniture and the damage to the floor of my new rental far outweigh the congeniality. It cost over $400 to move a one-bedroom condo (just the furniture and three boxes) and I'm sure the damage to the floors will cost about that much of my security deposit.

Before considering Moda Moving, do your research. This dishonest company may cost you thousands extra by being deceitfully led. The only reason I was able to spend close to my original budget was to catch on to their scheme and have Moda Moving only move half my belongings. Yes…I rented my own moving truck and finished the job myself to move a family of four and home office. The SCHEME comes down to Moda Moving sending out a “Relocation Specialist” Dan Garratt who is professional sounding enough to use and comes to your home and quickly inventories your belongings and follows up with a quote for number of trucks and movers. Once Mr. Garratt’s quote is signed, you’re handed off to “Dispatch” Chris Hill for final terms and conditions paperwork. So far, so good. On day of move, everything goes off the rail. Less agreed upon trucks and movers show up at your door and confusion by all ensures. Lead mover is then on the phone with Mr. Hill trying to salvage the day with what they must work with. NOW, here’s where the scheme comes in. The apologetic lead mover then must methodically inventory your belongings again while the other movers start packing you out but this time, your presented with a new inventory list and your estimated weight and costs have doubled. At this point, Mr. Hill and I have an awkward conversation that basically sums up to either I sign new estimate or truck and movers leave. So…In order to stay on budget, I demanded we resort to original quote and by the way was off by 1,500 lbs. In the end, I used Moda Moving to move half my belongings. The rest is back breaking history and like other reviews, will file complaints with appropriate state and local agencies and leave you with this review as a resource in your own moving company research. Buyer beware!

I did not want to write this review. I gave Moda plenty of time and opportunities to fix the problems with my move. I thought that because they are owned and operated by veterans that they would do a good job. But that didn't mean anything. They were not competent, trustworthy nor honorable in their dealings with me. Right from the beginning -- an estimate that was so low in comparison to the others I got, I questioned them only to discover they quoted half the job. A questionable practice, to be sure. Then it took me many, many requests to get copies of paperwork, including receipts for payments. Their excuse? "We're busy." They didn't tag anything, didn't label many of the boxes they packed and didn't do an inventory. How can you take possession of someone's entire household without doing an inventory? Crazy incompetent and unprofessional. And then they lost some of my items, including precious and irreplaceable art from my grandchildren. Plus they gave me someone else's items. When I reported this, they acted like I was too stupid to know my own stuff. They finally found some of my things and picked up the other person's belongings. But some are still missing, including the art. They claim they looked, so who knows where they are. I doubt I'll ever see my stuff again. In all the times that I have moved, this has never happened. And because one of the still missing items was packed by their people while I wasn't there, I don't know exactly what is missing, so filing a claim is impossible. They offered me $100 for my trouble -- but never sent it. Terrible, terrible company.
