If you're accepting of $600/hr labor rates, then AAA is your service. When I called the office, the customer rep asked me to describe the problem and then suggested that I could just purchase a new display (for $187 if my memory serves) and install it myself. Or, they could send a technician to diagnose the problem but that would involve labor as well as parts cost. I decided to have a technician come out. Sure enough, the technician arrived and decided we needed a new display and installed a new one in about 30 mins. PROBLEM: AAA charged us $487 for the labor + part! If one subtracts the cost of the display, that works out to $600 per hour for labor. We made a stink and AAA said they have a set charge for replacing a display (vs. charging by the hour). Eventually, an AAA manager agreed to credit back $100, reducing our total cost to $387 and their hourly to $400/hr. MORAL OF THE STORY: buy and install the part yourself, or INSIST UPON an hourly labor rate!

They did a good job! They came on time. They were fast and did the work well.

Contacted company on Saturday morning (1/12/08) when washer stopped during cycle, and received assurance that repairman would arrive on the same day, probably after 1. Received a phone message @ 1:24 pm (I later learned the office closes at 1:00), without a return number ,saying that the address must be wrong, I should contact company on Monday to reschedule. The "after hours" answering service initially said they would call the repairman, but on my second call said my problem did not qualify as an "emergency" so it had been logged but not forwarded. On Monday morning, the manager said that the repairman received wrong address from office staff, sorry, cannot make appointment before or after regular business hours, no other possible solution. She said sorry, again.

Our machine ended up with 3 new parts: lid switch, pump, and trang gears. Our machine should last longer now. Next time, we'll consider replacing it, but the technician did tell me that the new model is still similar to what we have, and it is a good machine. This was a very nice, informative technician. I appreciated the call 10 minutes before he arrived, and I'd use them again, but hopefully won't have a need.

My fairly new dishwasher wouldn't empty the water when I ran it. I called AAA Appliance Service and Repair as I had heard they were fair and reliable. When I talked with the lady to get a repairman to come fix it, she told me what they charged for a service call and that it would be time and material after that. But then she asked me if I had just installed a garbage disposal, and yes, a friend had just replaced my old disposal. She told me that the plug had probably not been removed and to check that out before paying for a repair. Sure enough, my friend fixed the problem saving me well over $100.00! Some other repair place may not have given me that advise.

They did a good job and I have used them for several years.

It was fine, except they had to come back twice.

Very prompt visit. Knowledgeable, personable, efficient service person. The 1 yr warranty on the machine had just expired. The part was ordered, installed, and works fine. The service from AAA was great; the quality of the washing machine, I'm not so sure about!

Went great. Technician diagnosed cause and let me know when he could return to replace worn part. Returned on time and replaced part efficiently. Price as quoted.

Kevin came out and and looked at my machine. He was here earlier than I thought he would be and called ahead. He determined that I needed a new machine so he did not need to make a repair but i will use him in the future if need be.

It went very well. The serviceman was very professional. Our refrigerator was fixed within about an hour. Saved us from purchasing a new one!

I was very happy with the service and the honesty of the technician.

Michael came out to evaluate the problem and see what part was needed. He came back the next day to replace the timer.

Excellently. My phone call set up an appt. which the repairman kept.

Repair person said he is unable to move the refrigerator - I should hire a contractor, and cannot replace leaky valves - I should hire a plumber. I had described the problem when I called in to schedule the appointment, I did not need a diagnosis (as I already knew what the problem was) I needed a repair. Problem not resolved. Dispatch person needs to be trained to asses the scope of work.

Very well. They came when they said they would, were polite and fixed it carefully. The technician also helped me understand how to better maintain the system.

Ok. Didn't like that they gave a 4 hour window for the repair. But they said they would call my husband's cell phone 30 minutes before they arrive. They did so that went smoothly. The diagnosis fee was $52.50 and the service time was $25. He stayed about an hour.

They were not available to do the work as soon as I needed it done, but they did call back right away to let me know.

Our SubZero freezer section was icing and supposedly fixed earlier for $250 by same company. On 2nd service call I was quoted $429 to install new drain/heater kit.(This quote was by phone via our house cleaner as I was at work.) Also a second refrigerator had water dripping so we were quoted $196 to replace the thermostat. Total time spent by service man was less than 2 1/2 hours according to the house cleaner. The total bill was $625 with no breakdown, so I called for an itemized bill. The drain kit was listed @ $126.50 and the thermostat @ 88.50, so my labor/service cost was $410 averaging $150 to $175 per hour! When I called to ask the company's hourly rate, I was told they don't have one. ''They work by the job''. I had assumed the parts were very expensive when I okayed the work by phone. I feel Iceman looked around and quoted a price that he thought the market would bear. I have honored my word and paid the bill, but I want to warn others to stay away from this company.

Over a period of several days I kept in touch with the company as we monitored the alarm and temperature of my freezer. When the temperature suddenly spiked, they sent out a technician the same afternoon. He did a detailed exam and ascertained that we would need to find the coolant leak + replace the compressor. We opted to just replace the freezer, considering its age. The technician was kind enough to load a couple of heavy bags of meat into my car so that I could take them to my son's home and put them in their freezer. We were only charged for a service call. We will definitely keep their phone number handy for our next emergency!!

Called AAA based on Angie's List reviews, everything from first phone call through repair and re-visit was very good. Tech arrived on time, nice kid, young but knew exactly what to do. Told me it needed new control thing, part price alone was about $289 (I did some serious googling and found that was a fair price) I wanted to research whether it was worth fixing so I said we'd get back to them, no problem...just paid the $52.50 service call. When I saw how much to replace the oven, we decided to repair so they promptly ordered part and scheduled another visit. Labor took a bit less time than he thought, so he even knocked $20 off the bill! Next week discovered that the timer didn't work, though it had before, so he came right back and fixed a loose connection, no problems at all. I'd definitely use them again!

I was impressed. The repair man was on-time and very professional. At the time, he did not have the part with him that was needed to fix my dishwasher. However, he asked if he could come back later that night (at 6:00) to fix it. He was there with the part at 5:59 and had my dishwasher repaired within 20 minutes.

They were great! They came in about 20 minutes from when we called and ended up just selling us the part so that we could fix the item ourselves. Very cool!

I placed the call early Friday morning, the dispatcher was very efficient. Their call-out fee compared very favorably with the other companies contacted. By 1200 noon Jason the repair man had arrived. After some head scratching he located the split in the tube and went ahead with the repair. Jason was very efficient and courteous. He was very willing and able to explain how the unit operated and how to set it for the most efficient operation. In future I would ask this company to do repairs on my appliances.

I was so impressed with this company. I initially called on a Sunday evening. My call was returned early Monday morning and Jayson was at the house a few hours later. He initially reset the system, as this was the least expensive option. Since this was not the problem, Jayson immediately returned the following morning for re-examination. He then discovered the broken part and it was installed the following day, as it had to be ordered. He was very polite, always on time, and a pleasure to communicate with. I am so happy to have found such an outstanding repair company.
