It was fabulous! Allen was there on time, got right to work and was able to show me where the problem was and what caused it. He fixed it so I could use the dishwasher in the meantime until the part came in. Due to discrepancies in my warranty on the part of the manufacturer, they had to send the part to a repair service on their list, rather than to me or AAA Appliance Repair, so this 'approved' service will be installing the part next week. I will, however, be going back to AAA Appliance4 Service & Parts Inc. for any and all my appliance repair needs, going forward. Thanks so much for saving me money, as well as well as my sanity - you ROCK!
Description of Work: The 1st time I called them, the tech was able to fix my dishwasher over the phone! This second time, the tech came out and was able to diagnose the problem, let me know what I needed to do to get the part, and put a 'band-aid' on the problem so I could use my dishwasher in the meantime!

Our 13-year-old Bosch dishwasher was not spraying water up through both arms to clean the dishes. We called to see if they repaired Bosch appliances and they did. The service call cost was reasonable and so we scheduled an appointment for someone to come out and look at it. The serviceman replaced a part, but it did not fix the problem, so we were charged only for the service call and for a new connector hose, which we needed anyway. We discussed options to replace the Bosch and were given knowledgeable advice and a good recommendation where to purchase one. When the new KitchenAide arrived, we had Triple A come back to install it because we were pleased with the prior service. The space was very tight because we had remodeled 13 years ago and built the cabinet to fit the Bosch, but the serviceman (same one who checked the Bosch) was able to make it work. He was super conscientious about keeping our floor and his workspace clean. He was a super nice guy and went above and beyond "just getting the job done" for us.
Description of Work: Checked out to a problem with our Bosch dishwasher and ended up replacing it with a new KitchenAid.

we've used AAA Appliance several times when an appliance has acted up. They've always been very honest (including noting for an old washer that it would be cheaper to replace than fix) and professional. The last time we used them it was for a dishwasher that stopped working. they thoroughly tested it and were able to determine it was an electrical issue in the outlet, not the dishwasher. that kept us from buying an unneeded and new dishwasher. Thanks!

Excellent. On the first visit, he said it could be either a small item or a bigger deal. Wanted to try replacing the small item first...had to wait for the part but he fixed it enough so we could use the fridge, not freezer. Item arrived in 2 wks and he fixed the problem.

He was unable to do anything for me. However, he saved me quite a bit of money by telling me "you should really just buy a new one". Everything was perfect with them. They were professional, courteous, on time, came out and looked at it, even tried at no charge to me to put in some freon into the refrigerator to check for leaks to see if there was any possible way that they can repair it for cheaper. He was just very kind. When he decided "Ma'am, I am sorry, there is too many leaks, I have to replace too many seals and I could if you wanted me to but I think your best bet to save your money would be to just buy a new fridge". Instead of taking my money, which I would not have been any of the wiser which is why is actually why I got Angie's List a year ago because I needed this one service and I know nothing about it so I really needed somebody I could trust. So why we got the Angie's List so I can find this there and I got what I paid for. He was recommended on Angie's List and they were a great company.

OK, I would use them again, I got what I wanted, just wasn't happy with the price.
Description of Work: They replaced my touch pad on my 2003 Jenn-Air range. Showed up when they said they would and then had to leave and get the part as they didn't ask me for the serial number when I called in for service. My guy did a lot of the work, but at the end of the day, my stove works. I just thought the labor charges were high considering how much work my guy did as opposed to what they did when they got back with the part. I've used them in the past, and think they are very fair, when my washer went south, they told me to get a new one, it would cost more to fix than it was worth. I appreciated that. They have worked on several of my other appliances and I have always been satisfied with their work. I would use them again in the future and have recommended them to other friends.

When I made the appointment, I said the problem was the pump and gave the model info, but the technician didn't bring a replacement pump. He advised gluing the impeller back on, because otherwise there would be a second (substantial) trip charge for him to return with the pump. Gluing seemed a shoddy approach, but he said it wouldn't wind up costing me more if it broke down, Six months later, impeller broke off, and the pump quit. But the company said they'd have to charge me $260 for a new pump. After all, I'd gotten six months out of the repair. So another guy put it in for less money. He also said he never charges extra if he doesn't have the right part with him on a service call. When I complained to the company, the office lady was rude and combative.
Description of Work: Repaired (instead of replacing) a broken clothes washer pump. Glued the broken-off impeller back onto the pump.

They did an excellent job. I call them up and they come right away. They are very fast. When they come in and repair something I go for years without having to call them back. The washing machine was throwing water on the floor and he came and fixed it. These people have nothing to do with the place I buy my appliances from and when I need something they come out and fix it. I called them and I told them that I had problems and they were here in 15 minutes to help me out. They also called while they were on their way to let me know they were coming. They were excellent. I have used them already for 20 years and I would continue to use them when I need it.

He was really great because he was really fast and he didn’t charge me one penny extra for the part. Often, service people really get you on parts but he charged me exactly what it was. He called me back from the parts store to make sure we were getting the right part. He brought it right over and put it in. He was very trustworthy. If I get broken down appliances, I’ll call him again.

We have used this company in the past for appliance repairs with decent results, but we would never hire this company again. The repairman repaired the washer but the drain hose was not reconnected to the in-wall drain pipe. Either it was accidentally dislodged during the repair or else he removed it to do the work and forgot to replace it. We ran a load of laundry (on a Friday night) and the washer drained all over the basement. It ruined a tile floor that we were in the process of having a contactor lay - it still needed to be grouted so the water ran underneath the tile and pushed the tile up from the floor. Many if not all of the tiles need to be pulled up, the floor completely dried, and new tile put down. We called on Monday morning to let the company know what had happened. We were not looking to get anyone into trouble because accidents happen but we wanted them to take responsibility and pay for the damage to the floor from the flooding. After a few phone calls the owner called us back, we think from his cell phone, and had the repairman on the phone. The repairman denied that he moved the washer at all or removed the drain hose, and also said that he filled the washer and let it drain to make sure it was working. We think this is absolutely false or he would have seen the problem. We asked the company to take responsibility. He told us to have our insurance company contact him and he would contact his insurance company. We asked him to confirm his Construction Contractors Board license number that is on the business card. We said we did not think we should have to pay our deductible, which is high, to fix a problem his company created, and he said he didnt think he should either. Then, he got really rude and told us we were calling the repairman a liar. Then somehow we were disconnected. Because we were in disbelief that the owner would actually hang up on a customer, we called him back and asked if we were accidentally disconnected. He told us to never call that number again and hung up. So we would say do not use this company ever. We are pursuing our legal options.

Cory was very knowledgeable about this model clothes dryer and even knew about the history of this particular model. After it was fixed he told me that he knew what it was as soon as he heard the noise it made. He has removed many an earring from about the same place in other dryers like mine. He also advised me on proper maintenance procedure for vacuuming lint out to keep the machine working in tip-top condition. I will definitely call AAA Appliance Service next time I need to have a large appliance repaired.
Description of Work: Our not quite 2-year old dryer was making a terrible noise and couldn't be used, for fear of causing further damage. Cory "Ice Cube" McGarry of AAA Appliance Service came when scheduled and fixed the problem in about 2 minutes. He showed me what he did (a safety pin was caught inside) and if it happens again, we will be able to fix it ourselves.

The technician told me that it would be very difficult to pull out the dryer as it was built in, but when I pulled it out it was effortless.
Description of Work: When I called I told them I believed that the heating element needed replacing, I gave them the model number and I told them that I wanted to make sure they had the part before they came out because we really needed to hire someone who could do it immediately, not come, inspect, order the part and then reschedule. Instead the technician arrived, without the part, told me what I already knew and gave me an estimate of $266.00 ($96 for the element) plus the $62.50 service charge, which by the way is not credited to the labor (all other appliance repair places I have ever used fold that into the repair cost if you go with them) charge so it would have cost $329 for the job. By their own estimates the job would have taken less than one hour.

They came out promptly, and called when they were on there way. He quickly diagnosed the problem, (fan in the freezer) and explained that he did not have the part in his truck but would come out the next morning (a Saturday) as soon as he could get the part from the warehouse. He actually arrived early and quickly and neatly fixed the problem

Two days before Thanksgiving, we were preparing to bake cornbread for our holiday stuffing when we realized the oven was not pre-heating. Panic ensued, knowing that we only had one day to get the oven repaired in order to get dinner on the table on Thanksgiving Day. I called AAA Appliance Repair well after hours, and spoke with their answering service who assured me they would call me back when they came in at 7:30AM. Sure enough, my phone rang at about 7:35AM, and AAA arranged to have a repairman at the house by 12 noon. When the young man arrived, he was very nice, and worked quickly to identify the problem. We also asked him about the icemaker/water dispenser on our refrigerator which hadn't worked properly in months. He was kind enough to take a look at it, even though we hadn't made that part of our original request for service. The AAA repairman had the icemaker disassembled in about 5 minutes flat, identified the problem and installed the replacement part as quickly as he took it apart. He had to return to the shop to get the correct heating element for our oven, and fought through the holiday traffic to get back to our place and get it installed. Our repairman was so nice and friendly. He worked quickly and efficiently, with good humor and patience. We really appreciated his commitment to good service and flexibility in looking at our other repair. Everything worked perfectly, and Thanksgiving Dinner was saved, thanks to AAA Appliance Repair! We have used AAA Appliance Repair in the past, and their service has always been consistently outstanding and fast. Thanks guys! You really saved the day!

My washer would not spin. I called AAA for help. They came the same day, within an hour of the start of the promised window. Kevin instantly identified the failed lid switch and told me that replacing it would cost $225. Seeing the dismay on my face (the washer is over 15 years old and probably not worth putting that kind of money into), he asked whether there were any kids in the house (the switch keeps kids from sticking their adorable little heads into a spinning washer), and would we mind bypassing the switch. When I said no and yes, he said he wouldn't do the work for liability reasons, but he would show me how to do it. He then handed me a screwdriver and showed me which screws to loosen, and which wires to cut, strip, and connect with a wire nut (the pink one and the brown one, if you're curious). The outcome: the washer works, AAA's *explicit* is covered, and I am one happy customer. Thanks Kevin!

Yesterday, we found our dryer not heating up about 11:00 am. Called AAA and they had a technician out by 4:00 pm the same day. They scheduled a three hour window of 2:00 pm-5:00 pm and then the technician called 30 minutes ahead of time to tell us his exact arrival time. He had the part, told me the exact price, replaced it and was on his way in about 15 minutes. Last spring AAA also repaired our washer and at that time they also came on the same day. The technician's were pleasant and efficient both times. We are very impressed and will use them again.
