 + 0 moreWe feel that the repair guys at Big R really went out of their way to help us and give us hints too keep our mower going. They could have charged us for both repairs but didn't. They also told us how to stay out of trouble with our various small engine equipment. I'm not saying you can get free work by them, but I feel they respected the fact that we take our generator and mower there for service and they treated us decently.
Description of Work: We took our Craftsman mower in because it would start, run for seconds then die out. The Big R mower repair shop guy, Terry fixed it an called us, saying there was debris/water in the gas and they cleaned it out. THey also replaced our filter and spark plug. We took the mower home and put more gas in it from the same container. Later on after an hour's use, the mower quit again. After several tries to get it going, we took it back to Big R and explained that it still wouldn't run. Terry said it was probably fouled gas again, and we mentioned that we didn't want to invest too much into our used mower. He called us back in a few days and said it had the same problem. He said that the new gas of today contains ethanol which attracts moisture and it doesn't last near as long in the can as in the old days. He cleaned out the bowl and the lines at no charge. We took the mower home and bought a NEW 2 gal. gas tank and put fresh gas in it and it has been working like a charm.
