Description of Work: We interviewed many contractors and these guys seemed to get it. Very professional, detailed, etc. we did not use them because they were unavailable for our requested dates of service (already booked). We may use them in the future.

+ -1 moreNever bid ...he wasted my time and his by coming to view the job but no communication afterwards. Poor, poor poor customer skills!
Description of Work: Bob came to do a quote and was on time but his measuring included the entire kitchen even though only 1/2 was going to be refinished. He said he would email his bid in a day or so and that was on Sept 20. Never heard from him even after I called after 1 1/2 weeks to ask what's up. Totally unprofessional to not respond to a customer. Perhaps he is good in his trade but his customer skills are poor.

+ -1 moreWe quoted several hardwood flooring companies and was about to buy that fake hardwood flooring they call "manufactured flooring". But before we did we called Bob to come out and give us some idea of pricing and we wanted to quiz him on which manufactured flooring to buy. Bob didn't know much about that kind of product so he said he would check into it. He found us real solid wood flooring that was already stained, hand carved, and sealed for about the same price. My husband installed it with a few tricks from Bob and it is beautiful! Everyone that sees it comments on how beautiful it is. Bob is here to make money....agreed..but he also takes care of pass customers like us on other jobs. We owe Bob a nice dinner for helping us on this one!
Description of Work: My daughter's home needed flooring really badly and when the dishwasher broke and flooded the kitchen we took the opportunity to help her choose a flooring product. She wanted to get rid of the carpet and put hardwood floors in. We had Bob come out and quote us for installing hardwood floors but she just couldn't afford it. Knowing Bob's prices are great we asked him for recommendations for buying manufactured wood floors which have a very thin layer on wood on them. He did some investigating and found us a solid wood, pre-stained and sealed flooring we could install ourselves that cost almost the same as that junk they sell called "Manufactured flooring". Bob didn't get the job due to our budget but he saved us from buying somehting that couldn't be refinished and would be a dissapointment . The product he found for us is beautiful. Thanks Bob!

+ -1 moreThe owner Bob came in with the best price, great ideas to keep the cost down. My husband was in construction so we did the tear out to save some money and Bob took care of the rest. He or his worker showed up every morning on time and did a great job at cleaning up everyday before they left the job site. Bob really had to work on finding the right wood to match our current floor which the mill no longer made. But he came through and did a great job at matching. We had a hard time picking out a color so Bob stained three large samples for us on the floor and let us sleep on it. The job turned out better than I expected and it has been a year later without any problems. The floor is beautiful and we love it. Bob also loaned us appliance boards so we wouldn't scratch our floors while installing the new kitchen appliances. He was great to work with and I continue to talk to him for advice on selecting other contractors.
Description of Work: We bought a home with hardwood floors in the entry and kitchen area. They were in very bad shape with water damage in the entry way from plants sitting on them which stained them and the kitchen had water damage along the cabinets from a water leak. The color was very light and very scratched up from a large dog. We wanted the carpet taken out of the family room which connected to the kitchen and replaced with hardwoods. We quoted a couple of large companies and small ones within our community. We asked for the contractor to match the wood so the additional hardwood added would look seamless. We couldn't move in until the floors got done so we needed someone to start right away and finish quickly.
