The technician found the part that was not working and replaced it. After quoting the cost of a new opener, this costed much less.

Long story, but when I asked for a detailed report I was told "We don't do that." When I explained why I was asking, Dewayne seemed to be offended and then proceeded to lie to me telling me there was a deposit paid, when there was not. The quote was roughly twice the price of the two other bids I got on the project. Their quality of work was fine in the past, but I am not sure how much more has been overpriced for the previous work done. Do your due diligence! Get more than one quote!

As far as the garage door opener it was a 5 it's working well but as far as the service person who I worked with he get's an F because he lied to me. He stated that the warranty if it wasn't needed that we could cancel it at any time and get the full money back. When I went to cancel it wasn't the case at all, the warranty actually was hardly worth anything as far as money back. So he lied to me, I don't know quite why he did it I'm assuming that he was on a promotion at his company to get more people buying the warranty and he would get perks from it I'm not sure I never contacted Sear's about it I just decided I wouldn't buy at Sear's again. The installer was excellent and he made sure that he was able to get all the way over from, it's a double car garage so I had to replace only one of the door openers and it worked very well, it fit right in with the original opener configuration so it worked well with what had been there before that had just worn out.

On the date of installation Brian and the installer came out to do the job. They were on time. The installer did an excellent job installing the new door. I am very pleased with my new garage door, and have received many compliments.

I've had Sears Garage Doors come twice in the last few months. Our garage door is on it's last leg and we're trying to limp along until we sell our house in two years. The first call was a tune-up because we had some renters in the property for a few years and the door was slow and sometimes didn't open. The technician inspected everything, tightened some screws, and we were very happy with how the door was working. He gave us some good advice (don't replace any part of it, it's a crappy door and needs to be replaced as a whole). A few months later, the door wasn't opening. I called Sears to come out again and they addressed some loose wiring in the sensors. Again, I got some very solid advice to limp along. Neither technician tried to sell me something I didn't need or do work on a door that's almost dead anyway. I've been very pleased with the guys they send out. If I don't move in two years, or if my door can't make it that long, I'm going to have Sears come out and replace the door completely. The second technician gave me some great info about what Sears offers but didn't try to push me into something I wasn't ready to buy.

I'd gone out to go to a volunteer appointment and the garage door wouldn't open. I tried to open it manually and that didn't work either. I felt helpless and trapped. Sears came out within two days, got it working within a couple of hours and it's worked beautifully ever since. I would use them again in a second.

Sears was communicative and professional. The installer took his time to ensure that the doors fit and operated well in my older home. I was generally impressed with the overall professionalism of the service.

The service went well. They came out two days after I purchased the big deal. They were excellent. The springs are really expensive, so the price for the big deal was cheap. The price was good.

Went well. Left a nice check list of what was performed and what I should watch out for. The entire visit was about 15 minutes so that would equate to $260 per hour.

I bought the coupon on Angie's list, but after three days they didn't contact me so I had to call them to schedule the service. It was then another week before they could make it out. The technician was prompt, courteous, and had the work completed quickly.

Scheduling the job was the only problem, because Sears Garage Solutions schedules service to the Eugene/Springfield area on Wednesdays only. Once the technician arrived (exactly as scheduled) my opener's problems were quickly diagnosed, and repairs were made. I had thought I would need an entirely new opener, the technician assured me that a few new parts would do. The technician agreed with my assessment that installing new door springs would be prudent, (they were showing some slackening) and they were done at the same time. I liked the extra step of putting a safety cable down the length of the new springs designed to catch fragments in the unlikely event that the spring would fracture some long time into the future. I thought the price was fair, but have not compared Sears with other services.

I told him one of the things I asked extra for was to reset my box on the house. Said he doesn't do that. Took them about 20 minutes and then he gave me a bill for the extras he had done?? I keep losing the receipt but finally found it and was going to call you about the horrible experience.

Installation is contracted out by sears. Took 2 months to get someone to show up and install. Customer service was painful at best.

I have a very low garage ceiling which required additional time to get the rail installed so the 7' by 18' door would open and close without the rail trolley hitting the ceiling Joyces. My job required two trips to finalize the placement and get the door opener properly connected and aligned. Sears worked around my schedule and did an outstanding coordination effort. i would recommend their installation services to my friends and relatives.

The sales associates at sears did a great job helping me find what I was looking for. The installer took the old one down and replaced it with the new one. He helped me set up the keypad and made sure everything worked great before he left. |

They have a standard 20 point safely checklist, and while going through that, the installer spotted that my torsion springs were shot, and that was likely the reason my previous opener failed, since it was lifting the entire weight of the door, rather than the counterbalanced difference. After replacing those, and installing the new opener, everything has worked quite well since.

We had Sears install a new garage door opener that we had purchased from Sears. Upon arrival they pointed out to us that the coil for our garage door had snapped, and also needed replacing, or we would just break the new unit. They provided an estimate to replace the coils, and had to reschedule for the next day since they didn't have everything they needed for the full job with them that day (since they weren't aware of the coil issue). They returned the next day, completed the repair, showed me how to work everything and left the site clean.

It was a great experience. Scheduling was easy and they were able to schedule me when I wanted the appointment. One technician came out to install the opener and he completed the work in less than an hour. He was very efficient.

I used them in past to fix my garage and they did an ok job but they had to come out again because it broke for a second time. I called them in an emergency because my springs broke and I could not open the garage. They were not able to schedule me for a week and a half. They could not even offer me any immediate solutions. Another problem is they always send out different technicians. I would not use them again in the future.

They didn’t have the door we wanted so they upgraded us at no additional charge. Working with Sears has always been a good experience for us. They were able to install the door within a week of us purchasing the it.
