We had a nasty looking water leak from nowhere; it wasn't apparently coming from any plumbing lines. When I contacted Wonderman services, Raoul responded with requests for pictures, which helped him trouble shoot further before coming onsite. He was very open in mentioning possibilities and additional services that might become necessary, if specific problems were to be found. He was very helpful and patient throughout the process and helped get to the right approach to address the problem. We will definitely request for his help in all our future projects. A++ if that was possible =)

He was prompt and completed all the tasks, but the door he had installed hinges on wouldn't stay closed. The door closed but didn't stay latched and would open. I called and he was happy to return, but would charge $85 per hour..wasn't covered under his warranty he said. True, the hinges were ours but the workmanship was his. 4 days later my adult grandson came over and with a screwdriver and in under 5 minutes he had fixed the problem by moving the strike plate 1/8". Did not clean up well after himself.

Emails to set up the service were professional and timely, he arrived on time, completed the repairs as expected, wall looked brand new after repairs, and was courteous and friendly while he was at our house.

both outside water pipes had to be corrected and was done under the home and at the water pipes.

Door handles and jams were set correctly. Leaking from bathroom shower fixed. Tile cracking and gaps filled with great attention to blending with existing background Overall the quality of the work was superior! Add the wonderful costumer service provided at the beginning middle, and end which made home repair effortless.

I would highly recommend them. They were good. I think they were very professional and timely. They did some quality work and some of which was difficult to do. They made it look excellent.

Very prompt estimating service from the company owner. Work started 3 days later and was completed on time and completely satisfactorily. They had good suggestions for framing out an awkward corner, and they did an excellent job of matching texturing on old walls and ceiling. Excellent clean-up afterwards.

Great! The work looks fantastic. Raoul is easy to get in touch with, responsive, and shows up on time. He explained everything well prior to starting the job and provided a detailed summary of expenses. I would highly recommend this contractor.

He showed up on time and did the job quickly and professionally, I would use their services again! I probably would have saved money by paying by the hour instead of buying a deal for several hours - I just didn't know how long it would take. Beginners mistake.

The guy who came out was very nice but I decided not to use him. He seemed to be straightforward and professional. Maybe I would use him again in the future if necessary.

Raoul was able to give me a bid by studying photos instead of meeting me for a walk through, which was a nice convenience. He scheduled the job with a day's notice, also convenient since the big holes in my ceiling were very drafty in winter time. He finished on time and on budget, and his work looks great. I collected three bids: one for $1300 and two for $1100. I chose him because he could schedule the job soonest. Happy with the results.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I felt like it went well. They were responsive, they came quickly when I called, took care of the few things that I had wanted them to fix, and they did exactly what I was hoping they would do to fix the problem that I was having. I paid a little bit more because the time ran over, but it wasn't that much more, maybe it was another $30 or $40.

Went very well...a head of schedule and waiting for a call to address another issue.

Raoul was great. He showed up on time, and got the job done quickly. And he did a beautiful job! His prices are reasonable, and I would use him again in a second. Highly recommended!

Raoul and his helper set an appointment for 7am, arrived on time, and did a thoroughly professional job, finishing after dark. They cleaned up the debris -- my garage has never been this clean. I surprised Raoul with some wooden window and door trim that I asked him to reinstall; he graciously included that work. I absolutely will call Raoul the next time I have a job like this.

Raoul did an absolutely fantastic job. He was very accommodating with changes we requested and very, very careful to make sure he was doing what we wanted. He is extremely professional and stayed in constant contact before scheduling and during the work. The work was done in our condo and Raoul was very good about checking on and following all of the HOA rules (there are many). When we bought the condo two walls in the living room had very odd finishes and one was only a partial wall. We had no idea how to change the finishes but Raoul knew exactly what to do. The walls are now smooth and clean. The entire condo looks much better. Raoul also did a great job of cleaning up after the work. We were very impressed with his knowledge, professionalism, punctuality, skill and communication. We will definitely use Wonderman Handyman Services again. Thank you!

We noticed the Angie?s List "Big Deal? this contractor advertised 3 man hours for $230 and thought this would be within our budget to finally address a 4 x 6 foot area and 5 inch x 16 inch area that needed sheetrock. I called Wonderman and Raoul told me he would charge 1/2 hour to pick up 1 sheet of sheetrock. They picked up a sheet of 5/8" sheetrock, arrived on time, did what they could, but did not provide and receipt or invoice. They called me during the job and said it would be $400 total but they ended up billing $400 in addition to the $230 I paid for the "Big Deal". I would have never agreed to $630 for a 3 man hour job. My wife not knowing I had already paid $230 via the "Big Deal" paid them an additional $400 they requested. They did not provide an invoice or receipt. When I asked for an invoice they provided only the costs to justify the $400 charge which lead to more confusion. When I asked about the credit for the big deal they provided another invoice separately vaguely showing they were charging a man hour to pick up the sheetrock. After several emails and calls and checks sent back and forth Raoul emailed me "I get the distinct feeling that you are not willing to pay the contractual amount". Ironic since he could not provide an accurate invoice. He also switched the mileage radius from 7 miles as listed on the "Big Deal" to 5 miles but eventually credited me the $25. The "Big Deal" was misleading as well: It indicates the normal rate is $315 for 3 man hours which works out to $105 per man hour. Really?? After researching this $105/hr is nearly double what a sheetrocker or contractor charges. Regarding their work, we still have an ugly hole they were not able to patch in the 8.5 man hours they charged us. I'm sure I could have drove to Home Depot, bought a sheet of sheetrock, cut a square hole in my ceiling, screwed it in, tape/mud, sand, squirt a can of texture and clean up in 3 hours myself. To be fare the work they did do was OK, the seams are not obvious. They also had to work around 1 pipe at the edge of the sheetrock but this wasn't rocket science. I feel totally ripped off but glad I do not have to deal with Raoul again. Response to contractor?s comments: Based on the invoices, phone conversations, and emails I received, you and your helper arrived at 8:30 and left at 12:30 = 4hrs x 2 contractors = 8 man hours. My opinion is 8 hours is way to long for the work performed but it is and what partially spurred the negative rating in Angie?s List. Another issue is you really need to provide >1< invoice detailing the hours and materials being charge upon completion of the work. Not providing this created a lot of unneeded confusion. You pre-quoted ½ hour to pickup sheetrock from home depot: total is 8hrs + .5hrs = 8.5hrs The $230 Angie?s list ?big deal? covered 3 man hours labor: total is 8.5hr ? 3hr = balance of 5.5hr unpaid 5.5hr x contract rate of $110 for 2 contractors = 5.5 /2 * $110 = $302.50 Materials charge = $45 Total unpaid by Angie's List and what I should have been billed = $302.50 + $45 = $347.50. In looking at the difference between what you charged vs. the figure above the $52.50 overcharge is petty and I am sorry. However, it should not be up to me, the consumer, to ask for an invoice (several times) and I feel the estimate could have been stated more clearly and 8 hours is way too much time to install what you did. I believe, mostly based on your company's previous Angie's List reviews that you're honorable and that several mistakes happened. I will remove my review once you provide 1 invoice detailing what I owe minus what I have already paid.I sent another check yesterday so please wait for its arrival before sending me what I hope to be the final bill. I sent you a check for $210 and another for $115 per your last request. It appears after I did the math just now that you should have requested $347.50 vs. $325. I will be happy to pay you the additional $22.50 ? I just want us to part ways and this nightmare to end.

He did a great job! He was really fast, which we appreciated. We were pleased with his work. His cost was right in the middle of other bids that we got. He charged us between $2000-$3500. He was also closeby, which was convenient.

They were very good about follow up calls/emails and confirmed the appointment the day before. Arrival was on time, and Raoul was very thorough about explaining what he was going to do as well as while he was doing the work. The work was done efficiently, timely, and I am happy with the results. We would definitely recommend their services and use them again.

Raoul was very professional and always punctual in his responses. He was nice to work with and I felt like I could trust him if we used him. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, budget and other issues we had with the house, we couldn't end up using him. Price wise, WONDERMAN wasn't the highest or lowest, but somewhere in between. Seemed pretty reasonable overall. I would call him again if I had another house which warranted a substantial amount of work.

It went great. He was in and out and did an excellent job. He also came back at my request, for no charge, to assess another contractor's drywall work. I really appreciated Raoul going the extra mile for me. I will definitely be using him again come next drywall project or whatever the need may be. He is professional, courteous and prompt!
