On the positive side, Raoul had a professional manner and showed up on time. He was clear on what his team could do and would not do (e.g. windows). Appointment was easy to set up, we exchanged a couple of emails with possible dates and availability. Parts of the job that were done seem to have been done reasonably well. Unfortunately, at least one task that they did was not done well; he noted, for example, that some insulation under the house was coming loose (house is on a hill so insulation can be easily seen and walked by). Offered to fix, we said yes, but all they did was press the same tape back into place. When my husband checked it later, it had already come undone again. Another example was a faucet that was leaking which was ignored. Unfortunately, his team did not follow up on several parts of the job that we asked him to do; we simply did not hear from him again on these follow-up items.

I called them on Friday afternoon, they returned my call on Saturday, we set up an appointment for the following Thursday. Raul and his helper arrived on time and ready to work. They checked with me several times with questions about color, etc. but mostly went about their business in a totally professional manner. The whole experience was a positive one. As someone adjusting to being a widow, it is a real relief to find a "partner" in the maintenance of my house. I will use them again without hesitation.

On time. 3 of them on site, all worked continuously, had all tools needed, asked questions if they were unsure what I wanted. I expect to have them back for some other misc. fixes I need. The only job which didn't get done was the hinges on the kitchen cabinets still are not right, but they are not the first who have struggled to fix them

I wish I had a stellar experience with him but it did not end well from my point of view. Raoul and a helper installed a 6' high fence in two days and did a good job. I spent $1,200. He said he could come back to stain the fence after the weather improved. I assumed (incorrectly, it turned out) this was part of the job and was included in the price. I called him back when the weather was dry and he returned, stained the fence then submitted a bill for $626. He is now claiming that we had earlier discussed a $75/hour rate for this work and that I had "agreed to it." I do not recall that conversation and certainly never made any agreement so this becomes a case of "he said/he said." In any event, I think it's a fair assumption that a contractor should provide a clear, written estimate for any work before it is performed and this never happened with respect to the the fence staining. I told Raoul that had I known that putting a coat of stain up was going to cost 1/2 of what I spent on the fence itself, I wouldn't have had him come back. After trading some messages, Raoul did agree to discount the labor by 10% because of the dispute. Raoul is polite and professional and I wish my experience with him had ended on a better note. I do take responsibility for incorrectly assuming that the additional work had already been paid for, however if he had submitted an estimate for the extra work that included labor and material, this issue could have been avoided. A passing reference to his hourly rate would not constitute an agreement in my mind. I would simply advise anyone hiring a handyman, whether Raoul or anyone else, to ask for an estimate in writing prior to agreeing to have any work performed.

We called, made an appointment, and Raoul showed up right on time. He carefully surveyed the work to be done, made some notes, and got right to work. He carefully explained what he was going to do, asked questions when they came up, and kept us posted as the work progressed. The patching was done very well, even in the most difficult areas. He left everything clean and ready for paint (which we did ourselves). We can't even tell there were holes in the wall just a few days ago!

The two men arrived on time. They performed all activities professionally. The results exceeded expectations. They were very pleasant to work with. They did exactly what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. We are very pleased and would highly recommend them to others.

They did an excellent job and did the job right. The also leveled the top of my gate that some one else had put in before I purchased my house. They also clean up and a really nice.

Overall, everything went well. There was a follow-up needed to complete the work. Raoul was very good about accommodating this.

Based upon the positive reviews on Angie's Iist, I contacted Wonderman by phone, described our needs, and received a rough estimate of a 2-hour effort. Though we had setup the appt. between 8 and 9 AM, for some reason I only remembered 9 and was not at home when they promptly arrived at 8, leaving a calling card. They had already moved onto their next appt. by 8:45 when I contacted them. Though at first Rauol had suggested we setup another appt., a few minutes later he called back saying they had rearranged another appt. and could return within 30 min., which they did. I thought this extremely professional of him! Upon arriving they got after repairing the warped threshold issues with some planing of the wood and grinding of the exterior metal stoop. That door opens like a champ now. After examining the sticky mechanism of the 2nd door set, Raoul admitted to not being expert enough in those complicated types of commercial double latching systems. Though he was willing to try his best, he actually advised that a better use of our money would be to hire a lock professional -- again, another example of professionalism on his part! Since they only spent 1.5 hours, that's what they billed rather than the 2 hours as estimated. Billing his service as "handymen" is appropriate -- though he may not be a full service door repair capable of all the most complicated stuff, he's able to repair the easier door issues and is quick to admit his limits.

They were great. Their customer service was great and they fit us into their schedule easily. I called them on a friday and the work was scheduled and completed within a week. The work took a little bit longer than they said it would take, but overall I was very happy.

Overall we are happy with the services performed by the Wonderman Handyman Services. Raoul and his assistant arrived a little early. I showed them the problems with the gate and the fence as it is attached to the board to hold the pieces to make a walled fence for my yard area. The boards on the fence swell at times and will drag along the sidewalk. Raoul took the time to notice this could be a problem and cut down the length of the boards not drag onto the walkway. This was done with the adjustments that Raoul made as he reattached the board to the fence. Raoul also hung a picture on the bathroom wall over our toilet in our guest bathroom as requested.

When the handymann arrived, I showed him the shower bar I purchased and wanted hung in my guest bathroom. I also showed him the large picture I wanted hung in the same bathroom.The shower bar is a bow-shape type of shower bar. This type of shower bar was unusal to the handyman, but after he looked at the shower bar while holding it in his hand he quickly identified what he needed to do along with his helper. The handyman and his helper closed themselves in the bathroom they were working in and quickly hung the bow-shaped shower bar as well as hung the picture as requested. They cleaned up their mess around them and was done within a short time.

It was truly a very positive experience! Owner Raoul was an excellent contractor and exhibited a high level of integrity and professionalism throughout the project. His communication was exemplary and his paperwork absolutely fair and in perfect order. His ability to manage time and be where he says he'll be was impressive and consistently so. Every single day, the crew arrived right on time and worked long days (including Saturday) to assure that it was completed without any unnecessary delays. As a matter of fact they completed everything one day ahead of schedule! Raoul's technician/craftsman Francisco was amazing... very kind and diligent and a joy to have in our home. We esp. appreciated his ability to clearly explain and problem solve, always working for our best possible result. We are excited to have him build a custom window seat and built in bookshelf unit in our new master bedroom as we understand that woodworking is a special gift of his. Raoul's helper Gustavo was delightful and respectful and worked tirelessly without complaint. They worked with our city inspector who approved it all and they cleaned up quickly and well at the end. We even left on numerous occasions trusting them to lock up for the night when they were finished. We absolutely found them to be trustworthy and responsible. Final payment was collected at the very end. We were completely satisfied and would be happy to hire them again.

Scheduling was quick and easy. He showed up on time, easily did the work and stuck to his estimate. It was very drama-free.

They were very attentive to detail, and very careful to keep our white carpet clean while running up and down the stairs to cut and install the tile. They made certain we were happy with each step they performed, checking in with us several times. They matched the trim color perfectly when painting. They also sprayed our outside doors to make them look fresh and clean and they look great. They arrived exactly when they said they would and cleaned up the work space nicely when they left. The orginal estimate was lower than the final cost but the job was more detailed than we first thought. We would not hesitate to use Raoul and his team again. This was our sceond experience with Wonderman Handyman and the first experience was equally as good. Their work is great!

The repairs were great. Unfortunately, I asked him to try to move some bi-fold door tracks on the laundry closet which wouldn't work without extending the wall. The new washer is too fat for the closet and moving the tracks still wouldn't clear the unit. He offered to extend the wall somehow and install a different dryer vent to move the unit back some, but I declined. I do appreciate his attempt to find some way to make it work. He is very good about arranging appt times with my renters so I don't have to be there - nice!

Excellent. Arrived on time. Finished early. No problems along the way. A really professional job.

Estimate and service call were prompt. Work was done efficiently and carefully; attention to detail and clean-up were very good. They carried large cabinets downstairs?without a problem. One oversight, however: they forgot to cap off a pipe after removing instant hot water maker. I was able to easily do that myself.

Contacted Raoul by phone and set work date. Emailed photos of (5) repair areas (wall & ceiling) and confirmed price estimate. Raoul showed up on time, worked efficiently. Friendly. Professional. Competent. The patch and repair was done perfectly. The price estimate was exact. (Note: Patch & repair needed as subs hired to mud/texture drywall were hired blindly instead of researching on Angie's List.)

He was very helpful and honest and professional, but the bid came in higher than the provider we chose. The other provider could do the work sooner, which is why we didn't go with Wonderman Handyman Services.

They did a great job. The desk they built in the closet looked great. They had to demo the shelves that were in the closet, rebuild one shelf and build a floating desktop in the closet. They painted, cleaned up and it all looked great. They didn't do an official estimate, but Raoul did try to give me an idea of how many hours and I knew their hourly rate. I have used him before so I knew it would be good work. They also pained the ceiling of our powder room and installed carpet padding and carpet in two storage closets we are turning into small play spaces for the kids.

Raoul and Fernando arrived on time and went right to work. In fact they just kept working with only a short lunch break. Each job was completed efficiently, accurately and if questions came up clarified then they went right back to completing the task. They are a great team and I will definitely call them again to help.

He had to come out and do the work for code reasons. He replaced some of the rotted wood with weather treated wood. I have recommended him to others already. I give him A's all down the line.

I found this contractor on Angies's list and asked for a bid on the work. Bid seemed reasonable so I did not solicit competing bids. I wasn't looking for the cheapest price but the best contractor. Raoul and his crew were very professional and the work was performed efficiently. Even though the damage that needed to be repaired turned out to be way more extensive than I had thought it would be, the final cost of the project did not increase proportionately and I felt the final bill was very reasonable for the actual scope of the work. I will definitely use this contractor in the future.
