It went extremely well from beginning to end. Raoul continued to try and contact me as I can be very difficult to reach. We set up an appointment which involved explaining what I wanted done; he made helpful suggestions, contacted me promptly with a fair estimate and began the job immediately. He arrived each morning at the time planned and explained each step to me thoroughly. The project required enclosing an unfinished basement with insulation, drywall, painting, flooring, baseboards, doors and ceiling. He also put in a sink and ceiling fan. All went smoothly and without a hitch. I have never had a project progress with no difficulties until this one. Very happy with all it involved He

My light fixture looks great and works perfectly. But a "wonderful" example of Wonderman's services is their solution to the ravenous squirrel problem with my backyard shed. Raoul suggested a wire mesh cover which he installed; it works and looks just fine.

Costed me $460 to essentially install a TV stand and nails for 8 picture frames(just punching nails on the wall no frame install involved). They have no idea what they are doing and spend half the time talking to each other in Spanish instead of working. This TV stand would have taken 1 hour max for a neighborhood kid to assemble.. (judge yourself- http://www.amazon.com/Walker-Edison-60-Inch-Removable-Cherry/dp/B001O9CK3Q).. they charged me 5 hours of labor.. 1 hour of trip from Tigard to Hillsboro and 1.5 hours of lunch and list goes on.. The quality of work is also average and don't forget you have to cleanup the stuff after they leave.. I have pictures of their work and mess they left the house after their work. Also, they don't honor 10% Angie's list discount. If you do decide to get them baby sit them so they work atleast half the time instead of talking on phone or with each other. Update- The reason why i called them was for gutter cleaning and install of this TV stand. Gutter cleaning was the main reason as i don't have the expertise to climb on the roof and clean it. These guys when they came home said they would do it and later said they don't have the ladder for doing that and would come the next day and do it. If you are going to work to clean the rooftop don't you bring a ladder with you?. They didn't fix the bath tub as they don't have a plumbers license. Also, i don't have a problem with them speaking Spanish. My gardener speaks Spanish and and my home cleaner Russian.. its "unprofessional" to speak in a language that the other person doesn't understand but i don't care about that as well.. what i do care is after 1.5 hours of "work" i come down and find them still staring at the document to plan a strategy. Instead of talking in Spanish if they had spoken in English may be i could have helped them as it was straight forward install which shouldn't take more than 1 hour for 2 people(forget experienced people). As for the punching the nails it shouldn't take more than 15 mins for someone who understands basic math(I don't have the equipment they have but i can do it in less than 15 mins). I had the maid clean up my home after their work who can attest to how clean the house was after they left. As for the roof, i am getting someone to clean the gutters for me as well. So essentially i paid these guys $460 for a simple TV install and punching 8 holes on my wall which i believe doesn't take more than couple of hours maximum even for people like me who don't have much experience doing manual work. Also, the work i called them for is not done. To add to this wonderful experience this guy threatened me with charging $100 extra if i don't delete this review(i have that email with me to prove that). That could be the reason why he doesn't have negative reviews. Any way buyers beware

We were very happy with his services. He was neat and prompt. We enjoyed his work so much that we purchased two new french doors that he is going to paint and install for us. I have nothing but good things to say about the quality of his work. I am very appreciative of the quality of his work and how he is so conscientious about cleaning up after his work is completed.

He used up an hour just going back and forth from Home Depot to acquire the parts for the job, otherwise I would've had him do a couple of other jobs.

In August we contacted Wonderman and Raoul, the owner came out a few days later. Raoul was up front about being quite busy, but said he could fit our job in on the few open days they had if we didn't mind the job being carried over a period of a few weeks. We hired them based on their proposal for the work and the excellent reviews on Angies List. From the beginning the Wonderman staff were pleasant, professional and easy to work with. Their prices were reasonably priced and very efficient, and they offered us different options for the work. All work was completed in a reasonable time frame and the quality of the work done was outstanding. We have recommended Wonderman to our friends and family and won't hesitate to use them again in the future.

Our customer was happy with the repairs after they were completed, and I was happy with the pricing.

This is the second time we have used Wonderman services. As with last time everything went perfectly smoothly from initial contact through job completion and invoicing/payment. I particularly like that they use all their technological resources to keep jobs moving forward and to stay in communication and keep me appraised along the way. Their work is always of excellent quality.

This company is terrific. They were prompt, detailed and conscientious. If they could do something, they did it. If they didn't have the expertise (my fireplace damper needed some tlc) they told me they didn't do it and who to call. They were eager to make sure I was happy with their work and were easy to have around. I'll hire them back in a heartbeat. Raoul and Gustavo were fantastic. No task was too big or too small and they did it all with a smile.

Walt and Chris are great painters and really know what their business. I was in a pinch and had a short window to have my condo painted and they managed to work me in on a Sunday, showing up early and completing the job within a day and on budget. A+ work and painters! Thanks!

ANGIES LIST COMES THROUGH AGAIN WITH EASE OF FINDING A PROFESSIONAL CONTRACTOR WITH THE EXPERIENCE TO UNDERSTAND AND DO THE JOB RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. WE WANTED A LIGHTWEIGHT AND COMPLETELY SEALED CRAWLSPACE DOOR. RAOUL DESIGNED AND CONSTRUCTED THE PERFECT REPLACEMENT. THE GAS FURNACE ONLY RUNS ONCE EVERY 2 HOURS NOW SINCE THE CRAWLSPACE LEAK HAS BEEN FIXED. WE WILL CALL RAOUL ANY TIME WE NEED A WONDERMAN. THANKS RAOUL.

He does sheetrock work. They did a couple of walls and sheetrock repair for the damage caused by the water. I am satisfied with them. They were on Angie’s list and I called three different people and he responded within half an hour or even sooner. He is the only one seemed interested so I took him.

Raoul and his right-hand man,Gustavo, did a great job on two areas of the home that needed repaired. Raoul was great at communicating what needed to be done. Due to needing a paint match, the project was a two-day stint. Both days, they were PUNCTUAL and followed through with what he said he would do (text 1/2 hour away). He is good but don't everyone use him because I don't want his schedule to be too filled out!

We are very happy with the service. They were professional, courteous and did great work and left no mess.

They gave a detailed estimate including time line for project. They arrived on time each day as scheduled. They made sure the floors and walls were protected before starting the remodel. They communicated items of concern verbally or by email in a timely and informative manner. They asked before doing any changes that wre not clear and provided information to help us make decisions. They were very professional and the completed project looks great.

Raoul, along with his helper, arrived at the scheduled time. He explained how he planned to investigate the roof leak and proceeded by cutting an opening in the ceiling and removing the insulation. In doing so, he was able to identify the roof leak location from below. He and his helper went onto the roof and repaired the source of the roof leak. He didn't have time to repair the living room ceiling that day, but he returned the following work day to complete the job. Despite my concerns during the interim heavy rains, I was very happy to see he had clearly resolved the roof leak problem. The living room didn't see a drop of water! When he returned for the ceiling repair, he also accomplished some other wall repairs around the house and did a very fine job. I am extremely pleased because I've called a number of other contractors in the past, and the leak was never resolved by any of them. But, by my observations, none of them were as thorough as Raoul either. My experience with Raoul showed me that he is prompt, extremely thorough, and professional. He communicates well and he follows through on commitments. He cleans up after himself, and the quality of his work is excellent. I've used him before, and I plan to use him again in the future.

Raoul was professional and did quality work. He has a 2 hour minimum for jobs, which isn't clear in his advertising, so be sure to have additional items on your to-do list should he and/or the sub finish the initial job in under 2 hours because you will be billed for 2 hours. We appreciated the courtesy call letting us know he was on his way, rather than having to sit around all afternoon waiting.

It had to be done in a shallow, crowded space with garbage disposal, numerous hoses in the way and competing for limited space. Raoul has worked for us previously and as always, his work was done with expertise from years in construction. He finished on time, cleaned up and we are happy with the results. Of course, we will call on him again whenever we need handyman or construction services.

Wonderman was quick to respond to my email and prompt in picking a date. When rain looked likely, they called 2 days prior and changed the appt so I could get in again as quickly as possible. Work was done quickly and efficiently.

I did not report this job before, as I felt that I might have misunderstood what to expect, but I do know that the price was more than double what was quoted, mostly because it took so long to grind the old paint off. Seems like that should have been part of the initial bid. Anyway, I won't be using this company again. I've found someone whose work I prefer.

I was very impressed with his work. He brought an extra man and got it all done in half a day; AND even better ,at about half the price I had expected. I found it very convenient that he was able to communicate through email. Way easier to connect than over the pone. He set up a schedule. He showed up right on time. He did the work promptly. Everything looks great. AND he cleaned up (that was really nice).

After a bit of a communication glitch about setting up an appointment, things went very smoothly. Raoul called ahead of time to discuss the pros and cons of the new toilet mechanisms to be sure that they would meet our needs. He arrived on time the next morning and was finished in three hours with all of our projects. We were most impressed with Raoul's efficiency. We had expected the work to last most of the day, but he just moved from job to job quickly. He was also very good about explaining exactly what he was doing and how the fixtures worked. We plan to have Raoul return in the spring to do some further projects.

Having heard about Wonderman from a friend, I initially reached out the company via email. I needed a number of odd jobs completing from a new light fitting, some plumbing, some further electrical work and some shelving and wooden trim put up. These things were not huge projects, but things that my husband and I have just not managed to find the time to fix. Raoul came back to me very quickly and confirmed that he'd be happy to complete the work. He gave me simple instructions on how he worked, how much he charged by the hour (which I must say is very reasonable) and we arranged a suitable day and time for him to come to the house and complete the work. The day he was scheduled to arrive, we'd agreed upon a window of time between 11am - 1pm. This was because I already had a number of appointments arranged early morning. Raoul then called me in advance and let me know he'd be at the house by noon. Perfect! Just before arriving he called me again as he was stuck in traffic and was about 5-10 minutes out. When he arrived at the house, we went through everything that needed to be done and he got to work . I was present the whole time, but to be honest Raoul was so quiet and completed each task quickly and professionally, it didn't feel like there was a workman in the house. Sometimes when contractors come to your home, you can't help but think you are in their way, but this certainly wasn't the case here. Raoul started on one job, then moved onto the next and the next until all the work was completed. He was here for around 2.5 hours but only charged me for 2 hours of his time. He fixed everything that needed fixing and I'm really pleased with the outcome. I found the company/Raoul to be very professional and very pleasant, and I'll certainly be using the Wonderman services again.
