It went well. I had a little trouble synching up for the quote, but after that we got scheduled right away to do the job. We have a difficult yard (hard access to the back for one of the firs), but they were able to get permission from the neighbors behind us to allow them to haul the debris out the back instead of the front. They were done in a timely manner and cleaned up afterwards.

They did a thorough job and were very professional. The manager even brought the employees hot coffee on a day when it was pouring down rain and the arborists were soaked.

Everything went really well. Chris and his crew are wonderful!! Each tree was done to specifications at a very reasonable price. I had had another tree company for year, and had to "fire" them! Ward Tree Care is my best friends when it comes to pruning the big trees on my acre. Thank you!!!

Excellent. Mr Ward immediately came by and assessed the tree. He then arranged for his crew to cut it down within a few days.

They did an excellent job trimming all the huge branches that were hanging over our yard from the neighbor's overgrown fir trees. This required hanging from ropes while carrying chainsaws - definitely something not to do-it-yourself! A crew of several guys showed up on time and got started right away, after confirming with me the work to be done. When they were done with each tree they asked me if it was ok, before removing their rope equipment and moving on to the next one. There are a lot of tender plants right underneath and they were careful not to drop branches on them or step on them. (I did put buckets and plant pots over some just to be sure.) They cleaned up well too, I didn't have to follow up at all.

Chris was knowledgeable and professional and I was quite impressed by him. In doing the work, the team did a small amount of damage to the house, but they were honest about it and handled the follow-up professionally. They also cut one of the logs into planks for me. I paid them after the majority of the work was completed. However, their follow-up after I had paid them was not good. They promised to poison the stump so that it didn't grow back, buck the wood, and grind the stumps. I was left with many pieces of wood that weighed nearly 200 pounds, I ended up hiring someone else to finish grinding the one stump, and the other stump is still alive. I complained about the poor bucking, but Chris was not very dependable in communications and I never heard a response. I made do and didn't push the matter. The work was performed almost two years ago and I've made several efforts to kill the stump. By not doing it when the stump was fresh cut, we missed the best opportunity. Eventually, I realized that I should provide a review for Ward Tree Care. Because I don't like to leave bad reviews (I would have left a B-), I reached out to Chris to give him an opportunity to make things right as well as perform some other work. I tried to reach Chris through email and the phone making repeated attempts over several months. He would respond and try to set an appointment, but then never confirm. Eventually we setup an appointment. I stayed home from work for half a day to be here for him and he stood me up. I called him twice while waiting for him and haven't received any communication from him since. I would have been willing to pay him his full rate to fix the things that he'd gotten wrong when he did the original work, but we never even made it that far in the discussion. Thanks to this experience, I'm less trustful of contractors and don't write my final payment check until all of the work is performed and I've had a little time to verify its quality.

The owner, Christopher Ward, came to our home to inspect our trees and provide an estimate in October 2014. I immediately liked him, as he seemed to really know and care about trees. He was able to describe our trees in detail and discussed what they needed to thrive. He suggested trimming some branches off the trees in the front yard to allow more light for our plants and our lawn. His crew was very friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. They seemed very experienced, and it was interesting to watch them at work, high up in our trees. It's August 2015 now, and the trees look amazing. That haircut back in the fall encouraged them to fill in nicely. They provide a much nicer canopy now. We are very happy.

He took them down safely , promptly, and he was genuinely friendly and helpful, it never appeared disingenuous, he's not cheap but he's very fair priced in the industry, he was able to identify a dying tree on my property that didn't look like it was dying to me, and then we laughed and I asked if it was healthy if he would give me half off, but sure enough when he cut it down it was rotting on the inside and was not safe to leave up.

It went well. After contacting Chris Ward for an estimate, I got another bid for comparison. I found that Chris had provided a proposal that best met our needs at a price I felt was good. Probably the best aspect of the job were the people sent to actually do the work. Adam, Jarod and Stephen were experienced, hardworking and accomodating to our wishes. They work well as a team, get along well with each other, and accomplish a lot of work in a short time. Since our arrangement was hourly based, we were gratefull to see that all the work we'd anticipated was completed in the estimated time. The amount of work it took was well in excess of what we had expected, because we learned as we went what proper trimming involved.

The service went really well. They did it in less time than they quoted us. It was real quick. They left the work area very clean when they were finished. They were really good.

They did a great job on one of the rainiest days ever. It was pouring rain and the guys worked through out the day. They showed up on time and cleaned everything up before leaving.

Always very pleased with the professionalism of this company. We were concerned with diseased Aspen trees. They could not treat but gave us a referral. Two trees were removed and others thinned and trimmed. They look wonderful.

We saw the ad for Ward Tree Care in Angie's January, 2014 magazine, checked the reviews on-line & decided to call for an estimate on pruning our apple tree. This tree has been a source of despair due to unwieldy growth almost since we bought it. Since it is a small tree, Chris Ward was able to give the very reasonable estimate & prune it on the same visit. While he worked, Sue & I cleaned & listened intently to this very knowledgeable & certified arborist. Chris is a mellow, low intensity gentleman who educated us as he worked. Watching him circle the tree deciding what to prune while explaining his thinking was entertaining & enlightening. He advised us about our other trees which need pruning & what to do about some patio destroying maple tree roots. There was absolutely no pressure to have any work done by Ward Tree Care or to do it now but we are extraordinarily delighted with his work, style & knowledge & will have Chris Ward back when we're ready for our next tree projects!

They removed a large, overgrown plum tree for us. Very professional and knowledgable. I will certainly be hiring them to prune my sweet gum tree. Small company with great people, I highly recommend them.

Cost estimate was higher than the other service I selected to do the job. But this company came in second and would consider getting another cost estimate in the future. They were friendly and professional.

They were prompt on the spot. They removed the tree that was on the property line overhanging both our house and neighbor's without damage to either house or the fence. They obviously enjoyed their job climbing trees.

Ward Tree Care is the first place I call when I need tree work done. Chris is incredibly knowledgeable, and his crew is fast and efficient. I have a huge, very old magnolia tree in my front yard that a main branch snapped off of in the last major snow storm we had. The once-beautiful tree looked awful with a huge hole in the front foliage. Chris skillfully guided his crew in a pruning of the tree that has helped it grow back evenly. Now it is looking great. They have done several pruning projects for me, as well as a couple of tree removals. They do consistently excellent work, and I plan to continue using them in the future. I highly recommend Ward Tree Care for any kind of tree work.

he showed on time. promptly took the tree (a medium alder) down in pieces and chipped the branches i did not want for firewood. very efficient process and was what i expected.

Ward Tree Service was recommended by a neighbor and I was further encouraged by a coupon that came to me by mail. I left messages to set up an estimate and did not hear back for several days. Once we spoke, service was quite timely.
