It went well. The floor now looks like brand new! Beautiful.

Contractor refused to honor AngiesList discount. Their quote was almost triple what other AngiesList contractors wanted for the same work. The "deal" is only a come-on with no intention of providing the work for the price. Do your research; there are much better options available at much lower prices.

Everyone I dealt with at the company was professional from the word go. They showed up exactly when they said they would. The project took two days and they left everything clean as can be and the floors look beautiful once again. You could tell that the guys working on our floor took pride in doing an outstanding job.

Was not particularly pleased with the results of the water-based Swedish finish (2 coats). Would not use Treadline to refinish any wood floors in the future. However, they did a good job on the wood installation, so if the wood is prefinished or engineered, we could recommend them for that.

We really like the work that was done. Our floors look fantastic and the workmanship is top notch. We stayed for much of the process (until we had to get out of Dodge while the more toxic processes ensued) and enjoyed the adaptable and consultation approach of the team. We made some adjustments on the fly and did some unexpected amazing work in one of our closets. Very pleased.

Ovi and his crew were very responsive, professional and did a fabulous job. We were very satisfied with the work and finished product. Our floors have never looked so good.

Excellent crew of helpful, professional and hard-working gentlemen. Highest recommendation and would hire again if needed (hopefully not for another 20 years!) The floors are beautiful.

From the day that Ovi came to review my home for a bid to the end it was a great experience! What I was told would happen did and better. The contract was emailed to me and they were very helpful in answering all of my question until I was comfortable with signing it. The wood was delivered for seasoning inside my house a week ahead. There was a scheduling mixup with the vendor and the way it was handled was just excellent! It made such a good first impression on me! The crew arrived on Monday, the first day of the project and they were business-like and efficient. They removed all of the furniture in the great room as I had been told they would and were very careful to protect it and my walls in the process. The carpet removal and new floor installation proceeded as they had told me. It is an option but I had them remove the baseboards in the great room also. (It is a noisy business and I urge anyone who has pets to consider daycare for them during that time. ) All of the debris was removed by the company and the house was left neat every day. After the new wood was installed, they removed the rest of the furniture and the refrigerator and masked off my of cabinets and other areas that I requested before beginning the dustless sanding work. Keep in mind that the system is wonderful but not dust FREE. Plan accordingly! I removed all my houseplants except for one which they enclosed in plastic for me. The foreman, Destry was excellent about keeping me informed about the process and what to expect next. I had plenty of time to prepare to move out for the time that they would be applying the stain and the final finishing coats. I was advised that my pets and I should plan to stay somewhere else for the last couple of days as the fumes are strong. Boy, were they right!! After they were finished, I was told when I could return to open up the house for airing and it took another 24+ hours after that before I could move back in! I was glad that the weather was so nice that I could keep all of the windows open for that time. Destry was excellent with details and he did a few very nice extra trim changes to enhance the overall look of the room. He saw to it that all the bases and feet of each piece of furniture had pads installed before they were set back on the new floors. I did many of them and he and his assistant took care of the heavier pieces. He was clear and specific about the care of my floors and I also received a detailed instruction sheet from the company. This whole project took 8 days including their return on the following Monday to move all of my furniture back into the house. The floors are just beautiful and have enhanced both the look and the value of my home! The company was great to work with and I would not hesitate to refer my friends!

When Ovi showed up to bid the job, he was clear about expectations. "It will look like a crappy old wood floor." He had a guy ready who could do the entire thing in one day. And that's just how it went. They did a wonderful job. The floor looks as good as it can after 60 years; I'm really amazed what they did with it. Everyone who walks into the house comments on it. It's exactly what we asked for, but I'm not sure if it's the look we wanted; it's too early to tell if we will replace it with tile after all. But that's no fault of Treadline. They did exactly what we asked and the results were outstanding. I think you could probably find someone to do the same work for less money, at least that's what I'm told by people I know who have had their floors finished. But I'm not sure the results would be the same. In fact, when I refinish the oak floors in the rest of my house, I will call Ori again and have them do the work. Edit: I removed the last paragraph after hearing the full story from my wife. ;-)

This guy does not like dogs! The guy showed up and told me to put my dog away even before he said hi and he was very rude. He brought his child with him without notifying me or asking. He hadn't mentioned his issues with dogs before and my dog was not showing any signs of aggression. I couldn't put him outside because I had several people out there and didn't want someone to leave a gate open. He was also very obviously put off by the fact that I had a disabled family member at the house. I never got a quote and I followed up a few weeks later and was ignored. Update July 2015- I have just read the company's response. These are outright lies. I have never dealt with any contractor that has no sense of honesty. This company honestly scares me. Judging by their response, you can see what you are dealing with. Buyer beware!!!!! The company did not read by post obviously because I stated my dog could not be outside because I had workers out there and did not want them accidentally let him outside of the fence since they were washing the windows all outside of the house. My dog was not growling or clawing at anything. These are outright lies and defamation. It is unprofessional to bring your child with you without notifying the customer first. This distracted the contractor from the job at hand. It is unprofessional to not tell the customer you have a fear of animals before showing up. I have had many, many contractors come to my house and they and all my friends can attest to my dog's actual and true behavior. I have never had a problem with him. No one has ever reacted to my dog the way this person did. It was VERY strange. The customer may have dogs or disabled family members, but certainly does not know how to deal with them. These people never followed up with me and never responded to my e-mails. I have proof. These people are extremely dishonest. I would be interested to see this law cited where it is okay to bring a child to a customer's house under renovation without telling the customer. That is hilarious. No contractor has EVER asked me to put my dog away before. Especially in such a rude and unprofessional manner.

He arrived about 30 minutes early, but waited until our exact appointment time. He was professional and courteous, but for right now, we are holding off on the deal. I have no complaints about Treadline Construction, they were very friednly.

They were punctual, easy to deal with and their price was right. They started the job and ended the job right on time. They did a beautiful job.

I LOVE my new floors! The crew arrived when they said they would and installed the floors. They put up plastic to keep the dust down (they had to remove the subfloor in the area where the new floor was going). They were very clean and professional. They made sure I knew when they were going to apply the finish so I could make sure my cats were in a well-ventilated room. Did I mention that I LOVE my new floors!

It was great. The provider was easy to work with and the whole experience was a positive one.

Ovi came out to our house. Took our measurements and informed us that we did not qualify for the Big Deal. We told him that was fine and he could apply it to his bid. He told us that we would get a bid the next day. Instead, communication was sent to us by email two days later. We were advised to file for a refund. His email stated: "We respectfully decline to bid your project". I do not have any more info. He seemed like a nice guy and reputable company. We are asking for a refund as per his request. Just rating him with a C as he did not call us back with an explanation.

I used them because of references and the review of the work was good. They did a really good job of reviewing the work before they did it.

The job was carried out with complete professionalism from start to finish. The team Ovi has are amazing and very respectful at all times. They were tidy and as clean as they could possibly be when carrying out such a big job. They always showed up on time and ready to work. Any questions or concerns we had were answered and dealt with promptly and Ovi was there to oversee the work. Our instal was completed within the expected timeframe. We were not looking forward to the prospect of having this work carried out but we are so glad we did as the floor looks amazing thanks to Ovi and his team.

I was impressed with the owners Ovi and Kelly in every phase from bid to install completion. They were both very helpful and and informative through the whole process. The workers were punctual and courteous. When the bid was done it was thought that my old flooring was nailed down rather than glued down. Due to this fact the job ran over by a day and the cost was about $500 more than the quote. (The quote did say there would be an additional charge for labor and materials depending on condition of sub floor.) Since I'm not a contractor I'm not sure if this is something that could have been avoided or not with closer inspection. I also was not not thrilled that the saws and equipment used were left directly on my carpeting. Clean up could have been better and I thought perhaps they would have filled the nail holes with wood putty to make for a cleaner more finished looking install. All in all it is was a good experience and I would use this company again or recommend them to my friends with these thoughts in mind. I do LOVE MY NEW FLOORS.

From the owner's first contact, I was comfortable that the company would provide high quality service. Ovi is very good at communicating the details of the services he will provide. The price quoted by Treadline was higher than the other three quotes, however, after talking to Ovi again, I was certain that I would be satisfied with the quality and timeliness of the job, so I chose Treadline. On the day work was to start, I received a call that the crew was finishing up with another customer and would be a little late, then they arrived as promised. The moved the furniture and began sanding on Monday. The crew was competent, friendly and professional. They pointed out issues and we resolved them quickly. The job was completed on Wednesday and the furniture replaced on Thursday. Ovi returned Friday to inspect the work and ask if there were any problems. The floor is beautiful!

Ovi Ragalie, Treadline's owner, responded immediately to my request for quote and information. Since we were unsure at first about whether to replace the carpet, we had this quoted in line item form. The amounts were broken out by job type, not necessarily by the two options that we were looking for (refinish only or refinish plus new flooring in family room); for example, there were line items for stain by square feet and options for baseboard work by linear feet. However, with a quick phone call and simple math the options could be fully priced and they ended up meeting the numbers as quoted. The quote was in line with what I had read for floor refinishing work; while I imagine I might have located a cut-rate outfit, we felt the full value provided by Treadline was very high and well worth the final bill. One area that we were considering was finish (stain); we felt that unless we were prepared to replace the stairs and completely rip up the kitchen and foyer flooring, that we were effectively locked into the existing red oak, which had not been refinished since the house was built 21 years ago (we occupied the last 10). To refinish the stairs was ball parked at over $3k, and we decided that we were going to hold on this as it did not show wear and we had other plans for the stairs down the road when we tackle the upstairs (intent is to replace carpet on the top floor with hardwood floors eventually as well). So, we had to think about whether to go with not only the red oak, but the stain as well (something like puritan pine), which was a bit too yellow/orange for our taste and felt a bit dated. Due to this constraint, we started the job with the intent of matching but that we would have a "checkpoint" after the initial two days of prep to review several stain options. We are glad we did this, as the expert floor sanding revealed a fresh, gorgeous look that lent itself well to a natural (clear) stain. This goes well enough with the stairs, which we expect to refinish later anyway, but the color was amazing and Treadline helped to consult, work with us on the checkpoint process, and finish that blew away our expectations. Vacating the kitchen was an unavoidable inconvenience for this job, but the crew helped with movement of the larger objects and minimized the total downtime. We did have to spend one night away due to the smell of the finish. Bottom line, Treadline is a professional crew that met its price and target goals, communicated well, and that has pride in craftsmanship to do the job right with full attention to all the details needed that resulted in a very attractive finish that gave us a larger-feeling room and added value to the home. We would recommend them highly without hesitation to anyone considering like work, and hope to engage them in the future for our upstairs carpet replacement.

Ovi and Kelly were great! They responded to our inquiry fast and Ovi came to our place. They answered all our questions and were very knowledgable and honest. They gave a very detailed and accurate estimate and the final bill was spot on. They (especially Kelly) were very responsive and the work was on schedule and top notch. The place looks amazing!

They were quick to respond which I appreciated. In general they did a good job. A few months later I noticed some corners were sanded but missed in the refinishing process and a few minor but noticeable blemishes occurred. I am unsure if I would use them in future.

Ovi was the 4th company we called to give an estimate for our refinishing job, but I'm incredibly glad we got to work with him. He was on time to our appointment, did a quick measure of the area, and was able to immediately give us his estimate, which was the lowest of the four we received. In fact, we were a little suspicious because it was fully $1000 lower than the next lowest bid PLUS his crew would move our furniture PLUS they'd provide a large, covered trailer to put it in at no additional cost, so we asked some pointed questions and checked him out on Angie's List. His company seemed on the level, so we decided to proceed. The work crew arrived on time, moved our furniture quickly but carefully, taped off areas of the home that might get dusty, and set to work exactly according to the schedule that Ovi laid out for us. Both Ovi and his crew--Adam and...?--were quick to answer any questions we had, were happy to oblige a couple of small requests (could you put the piano back in a different room than where it came from...?) and overall did an exceptional job of making us feel comfortable about the work that was happening. Getting your floors redone while you're living in the home is disruptive, there's no question, but they did a great job of making the job go as painlessly as possible. Our floors look great - thresholds, closets, everything. Thanks, Treadline. You do GOOD work at a GREAT price.

Ovi was very quick to respond to our initial request and gave a detailed breakdown of expected costs for the project. When we decided to move forward, he came to our property to give a final bid that was right inline with the expected cost of the project. We relied on his expertise to recommend the right options for our particular environment. The work was done right on schedule and the guys that installed the floor we're professional and did an excellent job. We are very happy with our decision to replace the floor in the gym and I can't say enough good things about the experience with Treadline construction.

I called for an estimate and a lead time to have work done. The home is a vacant rental and we needed the floors refinished quickly. Ovi was able to fit us into a cancellation for the next day. He arrived the afternoon of the day I called, we agreed on a price (we thought very reasonable) and they were on the job the next day. The floors had not been touched for over 40 years. They filled and refinished them to like new condition. Job was done in 2 days, one day sooner than quoted. Excellent work. The only thing I would caution is that the finish used requires at least a week for the fumes to dissipate. We were warned, although it took longer to clear the fumes than I expected. This is not intended to be a criticism, just a caution.
