Ovi gave in-depth guidance over the phone. He never rushed and answered all my questions and sharing his personal experiences for tips. Speaking to him for 15 minutes made me an expert in shopping for contractors for this project. I appreciate the free knowledge Ovi was able to impart. Due to time constraints, I needed Ovi to expedite this project within 3 days. He was able to adjust his schedule and have a team at my house on the date I needed. Ovi arrived on time and the team completed the project in two days. The floor looks like new again!

Great! Ovi (owner) spent the time to understand what we wanted a gave suggestions to current work and planned work to stay within budget and also make things easier /cost effective for future work we would like to have done. His team was professional and friendly. We love the way the floors and bathroom turned out. We've had many compliments. The end result came from their great workers and Ovi taking the time to talk with about our ideas, giving us estimates on the each portion so we could make choices of what we liked and wanted for the current work as well as future plans. We have waited so many years to have work completed because we thought it would be a hassle but we are looking forward to more projects in the future with Treadline. They fd excellent work.

Ovi told me 4 things before I signed the contract - 1) I would never have to worry about not having anyone show up - there would always be someone there working on my project everyday until it was completed, 2) He had worked with all of his subs for years and had confidence in them and their reliability, 3) the project would be take approximately 2 1/2 weeks to complete and 4) they would protect my carpet and do their best to minimize the dust/dirt that construction often brings. I gave Ovi a key to my home as I work full time and would not be able to open the door for them - but I do have a security system that tells me when doors are being opened and shut and when motion sensors are being activited even when the alarms are not on. I was very dissapointed that Ovi did not hold on to the key and open/close up each day but passed it around to his subs and I found it hidden in my flower pot by my front door where it stayed until completion (even though I did remove it each night) - that made me feel "so secure". The demo went well as there wasn't much for them to accomplish other than removing the garden tub, fiberglass shower, and the fixtures in those 2 areas. They covered the carpet on my stairs with plastic but seemed to run out of it at the entry to my bathroom so I had to lay a rug down and they never did protect the carpet in my closets - I finally had to put down something to try and preserve them. I kept saying - "you know I am keeping these carpets they should be covered." The plumber was excellent and did a great job. The drywaller did an excellent job. However, the first tile person that Ovi brought was a disaster and I did not trust him in my home. He complained constantly, was very messy, never cleaned off his buckets before taking them upstairs. Every night I cleaned up morter so it wouldn't get crushed into my carpet. He dumped all his morter buckets behind my bushes where it dried into big clumps of concrete which I had to clean up. He never showed up on time and sometimes not at all. Ovi finally fired him and it took 2 days to get another tile guy in to finish the job. This was not a big shower - the shower is a standard 2 person shower that is in a room with the toilet. The second guy did complete the job but he left after grouting and did not clean the tiles well. I had to start scrubbing on the tiles before the grout left a permanent film - there is still permanent grout on my little mosaic floor squares because they weren't wiped down well. Ovi apologized for the bad tile person decision and I just went with the flow of everything. Ovi did bring the other tile person back to clean up better and he did but a little late for my little blue mosaic tiles on the floor. Every night I went into that bathroom and cleaned up after everyone. Also, on many days no one came to my house to work - I had to ask several times why the job wasn't progressing. This was not the what he had told me before the project began. So, I know construction has it's delays and problems arise but here are my issues. Ovi failed to take the time to lay out the area where my vanities, medicine cabinets, lighting were going to be. It would have take some simple measuring on his part for him to discover that the light boxes were going to be off centered. Then the boxes could have been moved prior to the drywall repairs. It was not discovered until he began to place the cabinets - then he called me late one afternoon and told me that the lights were "obviously going to be off centered". What? Now that would have been a wonderful sight. The medicine cabinet and vanities all lined up nice and neat and the lights shifted to the right or left!!! He never said we need to get an electrician in to move the boxes -what contractor would hang lights off center?? So, at 8 oclock at night after I had worked all day and was taking care of a dog dying of cancer, I was down at Home Depot buying different lights and spending the lattter part of the night adjusting the back panel of the strip lights and pullling the wiring through so the lights would be centered. I then put nails in the plates so they wouldn't be moved and could be mounted appropriately. This should not have happened. The other issue is that when Ovi put up the wainscoting, he "eyeballed" the piece that set next to a light switch/plug. After I had painted and was hanging the switchplates back on, I discovered that the switchplate would not fit as there was not enough of allowance on the right side. I emailed him and said we would need to get an electrician in to move the box over so the plate could go on correctly. He called me and said that what he wanted to do was rip out out he board, recut it and then the box would fit. I said no it wouldn't look right and all we needed was an eletrician to shift the box to the left. He said to me "that is not something we are willing to do for you". What? He didn't say it would be an extra cost (which I would have paid for) or that we will make it right - which would have been the right thing to say since we had saved him expense of not having an electrician come in for the decommissioning of the jucuzzi tub wiring as my husband did that instead. So, at that point - I was done. I wanted him to fix the scratches on the wood floor that someone had made and collect his money and I wanted to be done. I fixed the lightswitch myself which took about an hour and a lot of "McGyvering". Ovi did not keep me updated on the status of my project and many days I would text him and not hear back. And, when he finally responded and said he would send me a detailed email that night of where the project was - that never came either. So, do I like my bathroom - yes. Did I do a lot of the work myself - yes. Did I do more than a normal homeowner should of - yes - but I am a bit of a do it yourselfer and that is probably why I got the design and bathroom I was looking for. This project took almost a month to complete - I'm just glad it was a bathroom and not a kitchen or I might still be sitting in a mess. I wish Ovi well in his business but I would not hire him again, nor can I recommend him to my friends and neighbors as I have done with so many of the other professionals that have done work for me.

Ovi was very accommodating with a tight deadline, travel schedule and pets/kids. He was able to work up an estimate quickly and work with me to figure out my options. He and his team arrived as expected and quickly got to work. Once complete there were two small areas that needed touch up, from my perspective, but he gladly and promptly came back and resolved the areas to my satisfaction. I look forward to receiving a quote on the remaining areas.

The service person advised us to not make any hardwood floor changes given the relatively good condition of the floor and actually performed the role of a trusted advisor to guide us...so, we love the professionalism and the honest assessment of the professional although we never got any actual work done

They did an excellent job and I would recommend them to others! The people that you work with there are awesome, I would use them again in future.

I love the people at Strada Flooring and Design. He's a jewel. We had done a complete demolishing of our kitchen so we could remodel. He seen the kitchen as worse as it gets. He helped out by sending the cabinetry guys, which was fantastic. We loved them. And then Strada came back in and did our floor. We have an old Tudor. We put our chicken back together. It's beautiful. He also helped us with our granite, sink, plumbing, with referrals.

OMG! Ovi was wonderful! We're going to list our house in the spring and wanted the floors to look their best. But I didn't want to pay a ton of money so I was asking for quotes for a light buffing and sealing of our hardwood floors. We have a dog who runs around on the floors and there was also sun discoloration due to a rug in the same place for 13 years. Ovi was just great. He said,"I'm going to shoot myself in the foot but I wouldn't do anything." He said I'd be unhappy with the results if I had done what I suggested. He said but if it comes up in house negotiations, he'd give me a quote on refinishing them so we could use that as a reference point. So then he measured the hardwood floor and gave me a very, very resonable quote to refinish the floor that included a 10 year guarantee. He was SO NICE, and also does finish carpentry, stairs and railings, and remodeling. If I ever, ever need any of these services, I won't bother getting quotes, I'll just call Ovi. You will be really glad you contacted him for any work you're thinking about. I 'm just tickled to finally have someone like him for the kind of stuff he does. Whew!

I would give them probably 20 stars. Their integrity is top notch and they are very professional. They cleaned up after their mess. The did our entire upstairs and a quarter of the downstairs in a week. It was right before Christmas and it was a mess here, but it was great to have it done. I thought their price was very reasonable and the quality is amazing. They were very responsible. They fixed any mistakes and took care of it right there. I think they were maybe 15 minutes late the first time they came, but they apologized and were here right on time. They also would call ahead of time to let me know. There are all kinds of options and there's no pressure one way or the other. It depends on what your desire is. I would go back in a minute to hire them again. They're definitely very trusting and very good.

Ovi gave us an estimate for sanding, refinishing all the hardwood floors which was reasonable for the amount of work that needed to be done, also replaced all the metal floor vents with new wood vents. His 4 employees showed up on schedule and moved all the furniture out to the garage. Then went to work sanding all the floors which included 3 bedrooms that had a 46 year old gym finish and were in good condition but had yellowed. There was not the dust problem like we'd had the last time part of the floors were sanded and refinished. They replaced all the old metal floor vents with very attractive wood vents. They finished on time, moved all the furniture back in and did an excellent job. I would definitely hire again

cost to do whole floor is more than i can afford

The job itself went very well - the men were on time, did the work efficiently, and completed it as planned. The man who came out to check out the job, however, was not very professional. The area Treadline refinished is upstairs in my home. The entire downstairs has hardwood floors which were refinished a number of years ago by another company. They are in great shape and look lovely. The man who bid the job was very dismissive about that work and said this company's work and the finish itself would be much better. I am very happy with my other floors and did not appreciate his comments. The new floors are lovely, but I don't think they look any better than the others. Also, I asked the men who did the work to send me a bid on doing my stairwell and landing. I never heard another word from them. I am very happy with my floors and appreciated the coupon but would not use this company again.

Overall, it was a great experience. They promptly returned my calls, fully described the work during the bidding phase, and completed the work they said they would.

We were moving into a 1926 bungalow that needed its floors refinished, and due to some unexpected issues with the sale, we weren't able to take possession until the 18th. Ovi from Treadline was our first houseguest, showing up about 30 minutes after we had the keys. He was able to tell us about the condition and history of the floors, and discussed some options for stains and finishes. He gave us an estimate, which matched the final bill, and to our luck was able to start the next day. By Friday, the floors were done, and looked amazing, although the house was expectedly stinky. Dust was minimal. When we moved in a week or so later, the smell had dissipated. Ovi was able to help us out on a ridiculously short timeframe, and really got us out of a pinch. The work was top-notch, and he was very communicative from the outset. I'd strongly recommend him to anyone looking to get their floors redone.

When I do this over again I will have them sand down to the natural wood and start over again.

We contacted Ovi to come out and estimate the full price of refinishing our old oak floor. He arrived on time and did some measuring. We had been thinking of replacing the old carpet on the stairs and in the living room so he also included that. He was willing to work with us and let us tear out the old carpet and particle board which would save us money. We set a date of 12/3/12 to start work. The crew of four young men showed up bright and early at 8:30 as they said they would. They were very efficient and did their job. They also seemed happy to be working! They laid the new flooring on the first day. The second day, Ovi came and did the stairs as the guys were sanding the floors. The third day they laid the sample stains down and we picked one. By the end of the third day they had finished. They cleaned up all the mess - scrap wood and removed the plastic that sealed off the open rooms. They came back in two days to move the heavy pieces of furniture back in place. They gave us instructions that we could lay rugs down after ten days and it was ok to walk on now. Ovi was always available for our questions - which we called several times to ask about something. He is a very personable guy and pleasant to work with. We would certainly recommend Treadline Construction for installing and finishing of hardwood floors.

Great people to work with. They listen carefully and provide excellent suggestions for enhancements or just things to be aware of. Ovi continuously monitored the work and checked up on the progress and any issues. Kept us informed of material shipments and tasks do be done.

went well overall, Al of the furniture was removed and stored during the resurfacing. Two unused floor vents were repaired and resurfaced. work was performed and furniture was replaced, We were required to be out of the home for 1 1/2 days.

The work is scheduled to be done. Ovi has been very helpful and responsive.

Treadline did an amazing job with our hardwood floors. They were in pretty bad shape when we bought our house -- the finish had worn through in places, water had made the floor black in some places, gray in others. They had not been refinished in 25 years, and it showed. Having stretched our finances already to buy the house, my wife and I were worried about how much it would cost to refinish the floors, and figured we'd just wait. That's when I saw Treadline's offer on Angie's List and saw that it costs less than we thought it would. Ovi, the company owner, came to our home, measured the floors, told us what our options were in terms of staining, etc. He put together an estimate that was very reasonable for the amount of work that needed to be done. He let us know that we would probably want to stay out of the house for a day while the varnish dried. (That was good advice, as the fumes are pretty overwhelming for about 24 hours). He also advised us to get some of that plastic wrap that can be laid down on carpets to protect them, which we did. (There weren't any spills, but the plastic helped protect our white carpets and our nerves, since it was necessary to carry heavy sanding equipment through the house and we'd had a lot of rain during that period.) Ovi also suggested removing the toilets unless we were planning on keeping them. Otherwise the resurfacing would have to go around the base of the existing toilets and that would leave an area under the toilet that would look different than the area that they were refinishing. Since the toilets were 1970s water hogs, we knew we wanted to replace them anyhow, so that actually worked out well. We scheduled the work and made arrangements to stay with my wife's mom overnight. As planned, the job took 2 days: one day to sand and prep the floors, the second to stain and varnish them. Everything went exactly as planned. Adam, one of Treadline's workmen, was punctual, friendly, and considerate. He put in long days and a lot of hard physical work sanding the floors with various pieces of equipment. Ovi checked in with us part way through to see how things were going. Adam certainly didn't need any supervision -- he was like a machine! -- but I always appreciate it when the boss keeps an eye on things. We were amazed to see how Adam was able to get into every corner without damaging the baseboards around the edges. We were also amazed at how little dust was created. Adam had taped off the cabinets in the kitchen, and sealed the doors, but even inside the rooms, on the counters and sills that weren't covered, there was hardly any dust at all! The equipment he used to sand the floors was always connected to a vacuum that collected virtually all of the dust. He showed me the bag at the end -- it must have weighed 20 pounds at least! These guys had the right equipment and know-how to do the job right and not create a mess while they were doing it. Best of all, the floors turned out fantastic! They are so beautiful, literally like new. They glow! The color and finish are consistent from corner to corner and edge to edge. Having done a little staining myself, I know how difficult it is to get the stain to come out so evenly. And the finish is strong and watertight. When I get out of the shower, I don't have to wince when I see the water get on the floor -- it beads up now instead of soaking into the wood. We could not be happier with the results. I own some rental properties, and I know who I will call whenever I need work done on wooden floors -- Treadline!

I would have used the company but they were unable to find carpet in the color I had requested. They were very helpful throughout the whole process and attempted to find the carpet for me. He was very nice and helpful and if he could have got the right carpet he would have done a great job.

They showed up on time and were very professional. They finished the job in two days but I had to call them back as I saw some issues with the finish. The owner came back and looked at the job and agreed that the job needed more attention. With no question he had his crew come back and correct the flaw. I am very satisfied with the end result.

My hardwood entryway dating from the 80's had never been sanded and refinished and was down to bare wood in spots. I took advantage of an Angie's List "Big Deal" offered by Treadline. They did a beautiful job on the floor, with just a few tiny defects (not really noticeable unless you were looking closely). They cleaned up nicely inside the house but did leave some sawdust in the garage which we unfortunately tracked in before we noticed. However, they were very professional and I will definitely use them again for other flooring work.

Both Ovi and the employee were very punctual, they cleaned up after the job, communications were very good, the worker was skilled. I really have no complaints at all.
