I was so impressed with this company. Steve and Paul came through and took care of all the loose ends that a contractor I hired to do a basement remodel, did not finish. They were so professional. Paul showed up early on the day they had chosen to do the work. I had forgotten to pick out a Spotlight and he had done it and got the perfect one. Also picked out the perfect exterior house paint to patch a missing shingle. He cleaned up so nicely. I didn't even know he was in the house! Left me a detailed note, even stating the time he left. NO service provider had ever done that and I have had MANY over to the house. They were very fair in pricing. Now all my friends want their names for their handyman services, even though that is not their main service. I don't want anyone else doing handyman services on my house from now on, either. I have some bigger remodel type projects in the future and will definitely be hiring the Remodel Group to do it. If they are this great at Handyman Services, then I KNOW they will be the same in the bigger projects!!! Hire them! You will NOT be disappointed!! Fabulous work and follow up!!! Every detail addressed perfectly!!!
Description of Work: Finished up small loose ends that a contractor I hired did not do. Installing light fixtures, changing out electrical outlets, dry wall repair, painting, etc

It was a big project so it took a lot of time to plan and, then, execute. Selected THE Remodel Group after interviewing 5 contractors and asking for estimates from 3. (One of the 3 never submitted an estimate; never even got back to me.) Worked with Steve and Sasha to define the details of the project for several weeks before we had a final contract in place and a schedule to begin work. I had some definite ideas about what I wanted -- especially in the kitchen -- and Steve came back with ideas that would fit within my budget. I knew what color scheme I wanted, but I needed help selecting the right shades and hues. Got that from the subcontractors and suppliers Steve works with. Work began on schedule after I had emptied the house of all possessions and moved out. I appreciated that I was able to leave furniture in place as Steve had his crew shift items that were too large for me to handle. (That definitely saved me both money and stress.) Due to delays in getting some materials, the work extended longer than we had planned and I was not able to move back in when I expected to. The crew was very responsive and cheerfully took care of items on the punch list. When the new counter was going to be delayed a couple of weeks (due to a mistake on the part of the supplier), the crew improvised a temporary counter so I could at least use my kitchen. The project took longer than we had anticipated (doesn't it always?) but I am very happy with the results. The color scheme throughout the house looks great. I'm thrilled with my new kitchen, especially the shallow pantry. I had been imagining that feature for a very long time but had no idea how it could be done. Steve's plan for the pantry turned out just right.
Description of Work: Whole house remodel/refresh, including painting walls, ceilings, woodwork; replacing flooring (carpet and vinyl tiles); installing lighting; kitchen cabinets and counters. Nothing structural.

They were fairly priced, and their service was good. They were very detailed. Sasha was the designer, and she did a pretty good job. I would probably be using them.
Description of Work: We got a quote from T H E Remodel Group for powder room and master bathroom remodeling.
I first hired THE Remodel Group to fix a botched kitchen remodel job by another contractor. I was so impressed with the professionalism and skill level that I hired them again for three more projects. The next project was a remodel on the downstairs of my home. My daylight basement was a sad sight indeed. But now with fresh wood work, lighting, beautiful flooring, and an updated fireplace, it’s become the place I want to hang out now. I also hired THE Remodel Group to revamp the fireplace on the main floor. This was quite the project because it took a lot of creativity and a mix of several different subcontractors. I ended up with a fabricated steel fireplace mantel, Myrtle wood columns, slate tile and modern gas fireplace. All the elements came together to create an amazing focal point for my living room. It’s very artistic and the amazing part is how they were able to bring my ideas in my head to fruition. It’s quite a masterpiece. I am looking forward to next week because I am starting a bathroom remodel project, and of course, I have hired none-other-than THE Remodel Group.

Steve is everything I want in a contractor and more. Now, I'm a guy who thinks a man should get paid a fair wage for doing a hard job. I don't like to squeeze until I wring the best possible deal out of a contractor--I think it sets up an antagonistic relationship. However, I do want a guy who gets the job done, a guy who takes responsibility for the work, a guy who adds value. We had some things go wrong--for instance, the framers didn't put the tarps on right after pulling off half the roof. Rain blew through and pretty much water soaked that half of the house. The framers couldn't be reached at 10:00 at night, but Steve dropped everything to climb up on the roof with me, in the storm, and batten down tarps. After the storm, Steve and I talked about it, and decided that we'd go thirdsies on the repair (I'd pay a third, he'd pay a third, and the framers would pay a third--and I think the framers didn't pay up, so Steve ate their portion). The upshot is that, for about $500, I ended up with a freshly remodeled kitchen, and repainted bedroom. Similarly, the dry wall guys put down some stuff to keep from scuffing up carpet...only they put it on the hardwood floors. When they pulled it up, it took off the finish. Steve and I talked over the options--we could repair the damage, or have the entire floor refinished (at a hugely discounted rate). We chose the latter option. What I'm saying is that stuff goes wrong with a job this big--I want a guy who I know will fix it. With Steve, I didn't have to watch out for my interests...I didn't have to worry about getting screwed over--we had the kind of relationship where we could make decisions involving thousands of dollars on a handshake. Everyone warned me about how much of a pain doing a remodel is...even a small one, and this one was huge. That wasn't the case. I had a blast doing this--Steve was the reason. He shoulders all the scary parts. I got to have the fun of dreaming big, and then watching my ideas become something even better under his experienced hands. It doesn't get much better than that!
Description of Work: Did an extensive addition to our home (added 1000 sq. ft to home). Extension included two bedrooms, a bathroom, hallway, garden room (with 12' ceiling, waterfall and stream), 12' x 11' slide away glass wall, and glass cupola. Contractor took care of numerous details, adding value and expertise along the way. Here are some examples: -Custom ladders into the loft area (including cool rope railing on ladder from boy's room)-Hidden 4' potting shed under cupola (not included in architectural plans, nor charged extra for)-Custom sloped shelving (wood and tile) in bathtub to prevent standing water on bathtub shelves
I hired a contractor and they started the job off by making the biggest mess you ever did see and installed the wrong flooring. After they ripped out their work and made another huge mess, I hired Steve Klingerman of THE Remodel Group to bail me out of a botched job. I got new quartz counter tops, back splash, sink and faucet, tile flooring and upgraded the lighting. A fresh coat of paint all around and my kitchen was transformed! Steve and his team worked with me to make sure I had the right finishes and everything went off without a hitch. They were on time and on budget and I couldn't be more pleased with the results.

I worked with Steve on a home that will be featured in the Tour of Remodeled Homes. Steve is the chairman of the Professional Remodeler's Organization and he is really involved in the community. He is really easy to work with, has a super personality, knows the business inside and out, provides an excellent service and delivers exactly as promised. I give THE Remodel Group my highest recommendation!

The contractor & his crew started promptly on time and proceeded to remove the tub, toilet, vanity, light fixtures, floor tile and doors. Working from various catalogs and design ideas suggested by the contractor, we selected a new corner tub, toilet, vanity, mirrors, faucets, floor tiles, light fixtures and color scheme for the walls and woodwork. Each phase of the remodel was done with much attention to detail and I thought that the craftsmanship was superb. Throughout the project, the workers took care to keep our home as clean as possible. We placed a great deal of trust in the T.H.E. Remodel Group and were rewarded with a beautifully remodeled bathroom that turned out exactly as we had envisioned it.
Description of Work: Our home was built in 1982 and the master bath could not have been more bland and out of date. Large, brown Jacuzzi type tub, brown toilet, brown sink, brown tile, cheap light fixtures, doors, mirror and woodwork. A real eyesore of a room. An acquaintance recommended that we contact Steve Klingerman of the T.H.E. Remodel Group. We told him that we wanted the room gutted and replaced with a modern, spa like appearance and he took it from there.
