Marvin arrived early and did a fabulous job in cleaning up the Toshiba which had tons of malware and broken programs. He also worked on the Lenovo lap top and cleaned up malware. He did a super job in explaining what not to do when you receive unwanted e mails or phone calls trying to get you to speed up your computer. Both my wife and I were very impressed with Marvin and plan on getting him to service our computers whenever we have any computer issues. We highly recommend Marvin to anyone with computer problems. He is really amazing

Marvin is the man! He is a super friendly and knowledgeable guy who helped my family out of a jam. He recovered ALL of the data from my desktop (thousands of precious family photos, documents and music files) after it died utterly. He also rebuilt us a top-notch replacement computer (with an upgraded operating system) and hooked us up with a super big 24" monitor and he reformatted our incomprehensible and user unfriendly backup drive. Then he delivered everything to our house and set it up (along with configuring our wi-fi network) and he explained everything in plain English. All of that for a super reasonable price. I highly recommend Softserve PC's - if Marvin can't fix it then nobody can.

There were multiple problems with the computer. After a evaluation, Marvin diagnosed it as not worth attempting to save and gave me advice and options on a new computer. He helped me do back up of the computer and set up a new Comcast wifi modem, which I had been reluctant to tackle alone. The bottom line was he gave straight answers to my questions.

My bank account had been hacked and I had to install all new virus and security protection. Marvin came out and immediately saw how old my computer was. He said that I could install the necessary protection and that he could clean up all of the viruses, but it would probably be a waste of money because my computer had such a short life span left. We discussed a new system and I reluctantly agreed. It pains me to have to have let go of my XP, but I always new that the day would arrive at some point. Marvin set me up with an external backup for protection until he could get a new system up and running for me. I am still adjusting to Windows 8.1, but Marvin was always available to help me get through the learning curve and iron out all of the glitches.

He came with the new computer and installed it within a few mins. Explained and showed us what he had done. It is a pure pleasure to deal with him and his wife. Anyone wanting advise or a new system build for their needs need to call on him.

Marvin showed up five minutes early and as advertised, went right to work. While being "all business" focused, he takes time while he works to build rapport. I spoke to him prior to the meeting at my home, so he was already familiar with my problem(s). Marvin is generous with his telephone time, and spoke to me two/three times prior to the on-site call and gave me instructions on how to solve my failing drive issues; he did this on a no charge basis and was very helpful. I've worked with PC repair people for over 20 years, and he has been the most direct and to the point --- accurate person I've worked with. Very knowledgeable and willing to give his advice and solutions to problems, even when they don't relate to the issue he was hired to fix. He's higher priced than other on-site service people I've used, but what he gives you in "education" and understanding plus his complete focus on the job at hand, made him a real comparative bargain. In other words, he charges a higher fee, but he goes right to work and quickly solves the problem ... less total time at a higher rate than others I've used who were less expensive, but the total cost was lower with Marvin, as he gets down to business right away and KNOWS what to do. He says "I am here to help out", and I believe that he truly delivers on his promise, both in "teaching" and servicing. Marvin sells product, as well as fixes it, but his hardware is good quality with acceptable mark up ... which is certainly a better solution than fumbling thru some big box store trying to get someone who knows what he's talking about and knows how to give the customer the correct product. He's worth the charge. Clarity on $425 price above ... I bought an Angie's List Big Deal which gave me $100 off the bill for an hour of his time and the $425 figure is after the discount..

Marvin has helped us before and so we were very comfortable with having him build us a new computer. He talked with us about what we wanted and needed in a computer and how we planned to use it and then make recommendations. We decided to go ahead and have him build us a computer from the ground up. Once again, he took the time to examine the old computer and ask about what we used/didn't use and what we needed to have on the new system. We made an agreement and he picked up the old computer and two days later, came back and installed the new system, making sure the all the components worked and that all the programs were correctly installed and working. He also showed me how to keep the new system running at optimum. We highly recommend Softserve PC's and do not hesitate to recommend this company to individuals or businesses.

Easiest computer purchase I've ever made! After my over-worked machine expired Marvin custom-built a desktop computer system for me with all the bells and whistles that I need... and, at a price much lower than found at the stores.

By methodically going through each issue and resolving it. We've used Marvin before and have not found a problem he couldn't resolve. And he is fair with his billing time.

Marv (the owner and technician) was very thorough in his servicing of my computer and also in explaining to me what he was doing and what I should do in the future to prevent future viruses. I ended up using him twice and if I have problems with a computer in the future would use him again. I would recommend him.

The monitor for my desktop was not getting a signal from the PC. I thought maybe the video card had gone out or the motherboard had failed, but Marvin walked me through a procedure by phone to check if the PC was just stuck in hibernation mode, which turned out to be the case. In less than 15 minutes my PC was back up and running, at no charge. I will definitely use Softserve PC's again the next time I have a computer problem.

Marvin is one of those people who is very willing to share information. He is very informative as to what he is doing and what the end result should be. I appreciate this, because I am one with a lot of questions. Today he was a little late but not his fault due to it being Friday and the President in town creating a traffic nightmare and I very much appreciated his reduced fee because he was late. The installation of my personal router (vs Comcast) went smoothly and all is still working okay several hours later. I will not hesitate to call him again should I have further computer issues...make that when I have not should I have - lol

Marvin provides OUTSTANDING computer service and customer service!!!! Marvin is highly knowledgeable regarding computers and laptops, he takes the time to listen to your concerns, answers and educates you about things on your computer system, what is best practice to do an what not to do. I took my laptop in to have him install a new screen that I already had. Marvin installed it, he removed malwale, checked for viruses, he TOTALLY cleaned my laptop so it works just like a brand new laptop. Marvin made suggestions on how to reduce my risk for getting malware and viruses and he installed a better virus protection program and a malware program. Marvin got my Windows 8.1 running so I knew where things were like the "old" windows directory menu we are all use to, plus Marvin never charged me for all these extras. I can't say enough about Marvin and his company, he is a man of work ethics and integrity, he stands behind and guarantees 100% of his services, he is highly responsive and is not happy unless you are happy. I got my laptop back home and it wouldn't connect to the internet, Marvin took close to an hour over the phone trying to help me get my connection to the internet, but to no luck from his not trying, it was the internet that was having a problem, not my laptop. Marvin didn't even charge me for his time trying to help over the phone. Marvin is very responsive and called me back to see how things were working. I delighted that I found Marvin's company and I have someone to service all my laptop and pc needs. From now on, whenever I have a computer problem, I am calling Marvin up. You can't go wrong with Softserve PC's, Inc and Marvin!

Comes to your home. Removed troublesome files , installed anti-virus software, etc. I have used him since and referred him to others.

We purchased a rebuilt computer from Marvin a couple years ago and were experiencing some problems with it recently. We figured that we had most likely caused the problem ourselves by inadvertently changing something or not doing a Driver upgrade but still didn't know how to fix it. Marvin was gracious enough to explain what needed to be done over the phone. We got it to working in no time and weren't charged a service call. Another company may have come over and done the easy fix and charged us, but not Marvin. The computer is working great again and we couldn't be happier. Thanks again Marvin!

Marvin was Punctual, Figured out the Problem quickly, and then Fixed the issue. After ruling out the more obvious possible problems, Marvin discovered we had some defective SATA cables going from his SSD to his Motherboard. We enjoyed the New Customer Discount and Angies List Discount. His pricing was fair, he was professional, and gave many useful tips while he was here. I love that he does not charge for driving to and from your office or home to service your computer. He only charges for the time he is working on your machines. He really knows what he is doing. Give him a try!

It worked out really well. He run into more problems than we thought. He charged a little bit more for that because it took a couple of days. I would bring him back.

Excellent, excellent work! My husband use to be a computer expert but poor health has affected his mobility and memory. Marvin is so intelligent and compassionate. He really listened, then set-up a system my husband can now easily navigate. What a blessing.! We are so happy we have found "our" tech guy.

Marv fixed all the problems and also took the time to explain to me what to do to try to minimize the likelihood of getting viruses and malware on the computer in the future.
