Process went very smooth. Sales person was very knowledgeable, the install interval was excellent, and the installation went well. The plumbing for the job was outsourced by Sky Heating and we are not crazy happy with the work, but the system works fine. We had to have one service call a few days after the installation due to some fluctuations in water temperature and found out that there was some debris in the filter. Apparently when the new vent was installed there was some shavings that dropped down into the filter. The service person knew the product very well and went over some of the finer points of the product. Still adjusting to the water heater but it's nice to have unlimited hot water. Time will tell if there is a significant reduction in natural gas to justify a tankless system.

The bid process went well. I met with Travis Smith, who I believe is the owner's son. He gave me a fair bid (I had three), and he helped me get financing at a great rate for the amount that I was not able to cover upfront. This was all at the end of December. My very old oil furnace had died unexpectedly, and I was in a rush to have the furnaces replaced for myself and my tenant who lives in the apartment below me. I needed to have two separate furnaces installed, one to replace the oil furnace in my basement, and one upstairs in my attic to accommodate the two separate apartments. It was a huge, unexpected cost for me and Travis' helpfulness and calm explanatory nature was really appreciated. The install itself went fairly smooth. It took about a week, and they managed everything with NW Natural, the necessary paperwork, filed my credit application, everything. Travis came almost every day of the install to oversee the work. They also supplied both me and my tenant with space heaters in the interim when we had no heat. There were only two small things that were not 100%. The first was that when the installation was over, the very efficient gentlemen that did the work, left a bit of a mess. There was quite a lot of dust and debris. The other thing was that they did not come back to pick up the loaned heaters. I had to take them back to their office, which was not too troublesome as they are in my neighborhood. The only other constructive feedback that I would give is that they offered me a service maintenance package, where they would come annually and look at the furnaces to make sure they were running well and replace any filters that needed replacing. I accepted, but was told that I would pay at the time of service. I was unclear about how that process would work (who would call whom), and when I called to inquire, I did not get a straight answer from the woman I spoke with. It would have been preferable if they had followed up with me, annually (with one of those reminder fliers, even), to let me know that service is needed. I will be calling soon to find out about having that service done. I hope that it is a simple process.

The folks from Sky did a fantastic job. All around superior to a company we'd previously used. Everything from explanation, installation, to follow up was complete, timely and painless. The follow up was great. I'd use them again in a heart beat.

My wife and I called Sky Heating for a bid regarding our overall heating/cooling of our home. Greg, Sky Heating's rep, sat down with us and we looked over the options available to us regarding both installations. We were invited to visit the Home Show where Sky Heating had a booth to see the unit that would be installed at our residence. Greg was very professional and knowledgeable. We felt Sky Heating's price was good and we made the decision to use their company. At the same time we made an agreement with Sky Heating to service our rentals and they followed through just as promised. The technician that came to our home was more than we expected. He was kind, considerate and let us know what was taking place. He did a wonderful job regarding the installation of both the new furnace and heat exchanger. We highly recommend their service, work, price and follow thru.

They came out and quoted the job, we accepted their quote and all work was performed to our satisfaction. Completely professional and clean and tidy. They addressed maintenance of the furnace and we've complied by changing out our filters at least every 6 months and putting a few drops of bleach in the side pipe to keep it clean. The work was done in September of 2009 and we've never had a problem since. Because it has been a few year I cannot remember the price, but I know it was competitive.

I've used them several times and they continue to do prompt reliable work.

It works fine and I would use them again.

Next day -- heating system wasn't working. Found a highly regarded firm who came out, explained and fixed what actually needed to be fixed, said the new thermostat was not needed. Wasted $250.

We have had no problems with it or the annual maintenance service etc from this company and we still use them. It is hard for me to determine how to evaluate them when everything was excellent except for their total lack of concern as to whether we would care or not if we got the rebate when that rebate factored into our final purchase decision. Have used them for 12 years and haven't had to replace either of units! Nice and responsive people but I do miss Barb Schultz who used to call and schedule the maintenance checks every 6 months like clockwork. Now, it seems like it's up to me and sometimes I just forget... If they can do automatic scheduling again...

They were very good at keeping me informed as to their arrival time. They completed the work in a professional manner at the quoted price. We have an automatic call back set up for next year.

last year, when the weather here was very hot, my air conditioner went out. I called Sky Heating and Air and even though they had a backlog, they had someone out here right away. The A/C was still working fine when summer ended.

The service man stayed well past normal working hours to make certain our heat was working properly.

They had been excellent to work with. We signed a contract with them and that included not only his design work but also the entire system and the installation. He is not cheap but I think he’s comparable. I think he has a superb product that he is using. He’s well-educated and he provides all the backup documentation about the loads for your particular house. He comes out and he measures your windows or reads your plans as it may be. He’s very knowledgeable and very thorough.

Clean install, professional and done right

Poor service. I Contacted this business because the Trane system I purchased from them and had them install had "stopped" working. The service man showed up shortly after 5 for a 2-4 o'clock appointment and after a check of the unit he felt it was a part that checked "good" but he thought it was really bad because his boss's Trane was doing the same thing and on his third visit to his boss's house he finally replaced this part and it fixed the problem. This visit was costing me $99 anyways so I told him to do my yearly check of the unit, which cost me an additional $29 for a total of $129.00. He then came in the house and pulled the thermostat off the wall and pushed some buttons and then said the unit was working but if it stopped again to call and he would come out and see if he could fix it with the part that check good. The whole time he was trying to check my unit his wife was texting him about every 5 to 10 minutes because he was suppose to be at a birthday party for her brother, he was in a hurry and wanted to leave, only after he left did I realized the unit was only working on the Aux or emergency heat and the heat pump was still not working I called the business the next day and told them the unit was not working. I voiced my concern regarding the "guess" type of plan to fix the problem and was told every visit would be $285.00 plus parts until the unit was fixed. I was upset and did not feel comfortable about giving this company a blank check, in the hope that my "stopped" "unstoppable Trane" was repaired before my bank account was empty. I contacted Trane customer service and explained what had happened and they highly recommended I get a second diagnosis from another Trane dealer. I call another Trane dealer. Their tech came out promptly and diagnosed the problem right away. He used a device which the other repairman did not use or even check the part which was confirmed to be defective. Sky heating and cooling sold me this unit and installed it 5yrs and 6months ago------it was just 6months out of parts warranty. The company which correctly diagnosis the problem and fixed my Trane unit even contacted Trane and tried to get the part paid for. Trane told them if they had been the installer of the unit they would have covered the part. Sky heating and cooling is not a company you should purchase from or contact for any service problem.

Greg Douglas came out promptly for an estimate. He wrote a detailed and specific narrative about my choices, with the advantages and disadvantages of each. He was clearly knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. The installation of a furnace became more urgent when the weather turned cold, and Sky was unable to install the furnace as quickly as the other two bidders. Greg did offer space heaters until the furnace was replaced, but I decided to go with the company which was able to install the furnace the next day.

Excellent service: arrived on time, accomplished service, polite and congenial service person, provided at stated cost.

The guy was very nice. Their bid was just a little bit higher than another one. He was very organized, prompt and professional. He wasn't at all pushy, which I liked. He gave me the facts.

I've dealt with several other heating and air conditioning companies in the past and I've always been disappointed. In 2009 my wife and I met Greg Douglas of Sky Heating at a home show. He was friendly and seemed very knowledgeable. He had several suggestions to address the ongoing heating issues we were having. After going through the quote process, I had them install a high efficency Trane XV95 gas furnace. Mike did the installation. He is a true craftsman who is meticulous in his work. The result was a cleaner looking installation than the old furnace, and it took care of all the previous problems we were experiencing. In 2012 our air conditioner was making threatening noises after 20 years of service, so I called Greg and had him quote a replacement. Additionally, the second story of our house has always been too hot or too cold depending on the season, so I had him quote a Honeywell damper system to control the upstairs temperature. This has made a tremendous difference, and without a doubt is one of the best upgrades we've made. Mike installed the air conditioner and damper system, and did a great job. He found some ducts that were suppose to run upstairs were connected downstairs, and vice versa. I appreciated the detective work that went into figuring out what was wrong, and his persistence in resolving them.

I really liked them. They came out right away; they were very responsive. They did not over sell when they really could have. They did not over diagnosis the situation. I was left without a lot of choices. I have been very pleased with them.

The end result was very good. They put a little extra effort on trying to address the original heat pump before replacing it. The price seemed comparable to other bids I received.

They completed the work really quickly and they were really fast. I called and they came out the next day. The guy explained what he did and explained what to look for if it happens again.

The installer came at the appointed time and the installation took two days. The installer did a great job, and when he finished, he explained how to operate and service the system. As both my wife and I have mild allergies, the electronic air filter was a great buy for us. Also the high efficient furnace porvided considerable tax credits.
