It didn't go, because he never called me back so I could ask my questions. The last time I called, the voicemail did say that if I was calling to schedule an appointment, to email the company. Well, I wasn't ready to do that because I had a couple questions. So, I went with Leather Pros Inc. and would use them again.
Description of Work: I had trouble getting in touch with this company. The first time I called, a couple weeks ago, I did get a call and a quote. I called back a few days later, left a message that stated I had some questions. No response. I called again, left a message again, and again, no call back. So, I went with Leather Pros Inc. because I could reach them. So, even though the price was lower at Leather Medic, I chose to do business with a company that had customer service and responsiveness. I am very happy with the service I received with Leather Pros Inc.

I called Key Home Furnishings and spoke to Alan, the customer support person, who was very apologetic but really could not do anything himself to help us, except to tell us he will contact the Flex-Steel technician for our territory and ask when he can come take a look at the problem. Imagine our stress and unhappiness - we had waited for 3 weeks for delivery, and after only one day, we have a broken/useless brand new chair. I stressed my extreme disappointment to Alan and requested that he call the Flex-Steel technician and have him call me back that same day. He agreed to do that. About an hour later, I received a phone call from Matt Tegman from Leather Medic of Oregon. I described the problem and he understood immediately what needed to be done. He gave me instructions over the phone and the problem was solved! (There is a wire which plugs into the motor that raises the leg support portion of the chair, and while it appeared to be connected/plugged into the motor, it apparently was not making proper contact. The wire had been zipped-tied to the frame of the chair and didn't allow enough slack in the cable to let the plug make proper connection with the motor. I simply had to move the zipped tied cable about two inches, which allowed enough slack that I was able to press on the plug and insure it made proper connection with the chair's motor. Matt was very well informed and knew all about the Flex Steel model we had purchased. HIs phone call to me was very prompt and he understood the problem and our anxiety completely. He gave me very clear, easily understood instructions over the phone and the problem was solved. I am now back to being a happy customer with my brand new motorized recliner Flex Steel chair! Many thanks to Matt and his company, Leather Medic of Oregon. I would highly recommend Matt for any type of furniture repair or warranty work. He seems like a very professional business person who recognizes the value of customer service. Thanks, Matt!! Phil Benson Beaverton, Oregon
Description of Work: I purchased a new Flexsteel powered recliner chair from Key Home Furnishings. It took 3 weeks for delivery and finally arrived and was delivered to my home on Sunday, August 23rd, 2015. On Monday, August 24th, while operating our new chair, we pushed the power button to raise the leg support portion of the chair. It began to raise, but stopped suddenly, partially up. The chair leg support would not move - up nor down! Here we have our brand new chair and it has already stopped working after only one day!

It was all good. Matt came to the house, did a quote for us to think about. When it was a go, it was a challenge to get him back to do the work but in the end it was worth the wait. Craftsmanship was great and what others said was a "dead" chair is now my parking spot each night.
Description of Work: Matt fixed the mechanics, a tear in the leather and put filling into an older barcalounger. Solid work, good value. Would use again.
Matt Tegman was incredibly nice, and he was easy to work with. He offered us several options on the rebuild, explaining the costs of each option, and let us choose (no railroading us to the priciest option!) He came to our house to look at the sofas, offered us an estimate, took the sofas to his workshop in his truck, and, when he discovered the weaknesses in the original frame, let us come to his home workshop to show us the insides of our sofas and explain why they had broken. His work was thorough and high-quality, and he kept in excellent communication with us while our sofas were in his workshop. I'm especially amazed at how close to new the finish looked after he re-glazed it. Matt is a true professional, and we would call him again for any leather furniture repair.
Description of Work: Rebuilt innards of two two large, black leather, sectional sofas: rebuilt wood frame where it had cracked, using durable hardwood instead of the original softwood; replaced seat foam where necessary. Also re-did the surface flaws on these two sofas: replaced loose stitching, removed gunk from sticky tape I'd mistakenly left on the sofa back, and re-glazed portions where sticky tape and cat claws had damaged the finish.

He took care of the manufacturer approval and called to let me know when he could come to repair it. He put me at ease and I was comfortable having him in my home.
Description of Work: The couch strut on the inside that supported the springs and cushions broke. He came within a couple of days of us calling. The whole process took about a week and a half. I only paid $30 to have him come out to assess the problem. The cost for labor and repair was covered by my warranty.
They've been wonderful. The tear kept coming apart, and I had to call them a few times to fix the tear. They came out quickly, re-patch it up with no cost to me, and they have a one year guarantee. They've been really good. They had difficulty getting the right product to repair the tear. The guy said that if this last repair doesn't work, he would refund my money and refer me to an upholsterer.
Description of Work: I had a leather couch repaired.
