It was an excellent experience. The original call was professional, helpful and the quote was low. An appointment was made within a week, they called in advance of showing up, and blew mulch on every garden bed around the house from tiny to large. They moved accent items instead of blowing mulch over them and cleaned up everything. It was an amazing experience, the garden beds look great!. Will absolutely use them again.

They delivered the chord and a half of wood. The pile in the driveway was clearly a chord and a half. As I began stacking I noticed alot of topsoil on the bottom of the pile. I phoned Grimms and let them know we recieved a chord of wood and a half chord of dirt. They assured me that the amount of material in the truck was a chord and a half. It was... but not all wood. They said that they checked the invoice and the invoice said, and quot;a chord and a half of wood was delivered.and quot; I guess what was on my driveway must have been wrong. So I stacked it and there was ONE chord. I know because of how it stacks in my garage. When I called they again assured me it was correct and that I could keep the dirt as a gift. JUST WHAT I WANTED, a two hour chore as a gift. When it was all said and done, there were 16 wheelbarrow loads of topsoil that I didn't need and didn't have any place to dispose of.

Grimm's price is competitive, the quality of their "sliverless" dark Hemlock is very good. I have used them several times. I also take large loads of yard debris to their facility as they are one of the larger compost facilities around.

We found Grimm's Fuel by a basic online search for Bark dust. The flower beds that surround our house were in desperate need of new bark mulching. Their website was very accurate and up to date! The price list was detailed and right on. They also supplied information about their products/services and how to be prepared on our end as well before their arrival for services. With our schedules and time frame available for such a big initial project, we decided to go with the bark blowing service. The price seemed to be reasonable for the product and services being given. We called to schedule and they were very honest and up front that they were scheduling approx 3 weeks out. It is mid summer and they are very busy! We expected it and were perfectly ok with that timeline. We were instructed to call the day before service to verify the time block they would be expected to arrive. They gave us a between 10am-12pm. They arrived at the beginning of the the timeline, 10am if not a few minutes before. They were very professional and courteous. We showed them the areas we wanted to have covered. They were knowledgeable and knew what areas needed heavier coverage than others and did a fantastic job! They were very cautious and careful of all flowers, trees and plants they had to work around during the process. Any questions we had, they were prompt and able to answer. We learned a lot and thought their service was superb. The product quality of the Hemlock we ordered was also very impressive. We will use this company every time we need Bark/Rock/Soil in the future. Thank you Grimm's Fuel!

It went very well from start to finish.

I've used Grimm's for years because they've usually been the most economical and prompt. This year they were backed up by a couple of weeks but when I called around, other suppliers were even further behind. So as per usual, when the day came, Grimm's was there, blowing perfectly according to my instructions that I gave over the phone. No need for me to even be home. It would be the most economical if I could spread mulch myself, but my health and fitness is declining and the landscape is lots of slopes and boulders. Having Grimm blow it on is a wonderful solution.

I didn't use them because the competitor got the business.

My order was for 3 units of hemlock delivered and sprayed. A window of two hours was provided for arrival and the truck rolled in right at the beginning of the window. We walked through the job and a few suggestions were made by the team which added the finishing touches to the job. The two man team went to work and everything was done in a little more than an hour including the cleanup! I will use Grimm's Fuel again and can now understand the excellent references from the other Angie's list customers and why they are the choice for repeat business.

These guys always do a great job. Last time they were here they even helped me and my friend dig up plants to make way for bark. They are always concientious, clean up after and have a refreshing outlook on work in general. I've used them the past 3 yrs and am always pleased.

The wood was very dry but it came with chips, sawdust, and dirt that filled two 60 gallon Green Recycle Bins and took us a lot of time to clean up. Not like the clean wood we received from our previous wood supplier for 25 years who passed away. We were hoping to find a new quality provider of clean firewood. We had to tap the wood to get the dirt and dust off of it before stacking it. Burns great in the fireplace. The wood was cut to a perfect size but the chips, sawdust, and dirt were very annoying. Manager said possibly a new driver left barkdust in the truck before loading. It was a fair and generous cord of wood.

The two gentlemen who blew the bark around our garden area were professional and courteous. They were careful not to disturb plants and shrubs and cleaned up afterwards.

I didn't like the price that much, but they had the best ratings.

I received a phone call from a Grimms employee who asked that I call back with a credit card number before soil was delivered. They dialed me by mistake so I decided to call back and let them know they had called in error. That was a mistake. The woman who answered was full of venum. So I can't say anything about their quality of work but as far as professionalism, this is pretty bad considering I was helping them out.

The price that I paid wasn’t a lot but I have got the same work done over the years for numerous times. It’s a well organized company and they know what they are doing. They were very competitive in terms of their pricing and the quality of their work was good. I wouldn’t be able to comment on their punctuality since I went there to get the compost. I would definitely use their services in the future too.

No problems. That's the way I like it.

No much to say. I called them asked them what they had, asked the approximate size of a cord of wood vs. a 1/2 cord. I'm really glad we got 1/2. They deliver on time.

As in previous years, they did an excellent job with coverage and clean-up. And, they even remember to close the gate when they leave.

The driver came when he said he would. He had to work the truck in under the over head lines to get the mulch into the driveway. I had asked for the mulch to be delivered on a tarp I had laid in the driveway. The driver suggested that I move the tarp back because the mulch would spill over into the garden and the gravel road. He helped me to move the tarp and get it positioned and then he dumped the mulch. The service was quick and courteous. I have used Grimm’s in the past for both gravel and mulch delivery and will continue to use them in the future.

Very disappointing. I went into the office and spoke with the owner and was told the drivers are working on a schedule and so he was in a hurry. He gave me a coupon for a slight discount off of my bringing my yard wastes to them, nothing I do any way. the soil blown in was a mess and I had a lot of work raking and relocating it.

Very efficient. Just drove through, paid and got loaded each time.

Couldn't have been easier. The delivered before 9:00 AM and everything was exactly as promised.

Timely (over the phone) and accurate estimate. Delivery was on the date scheduled and wood was dumped on the side of the driveway I'd requested. Haven't burned any yet but the wood appears well seasoned and dry with a nice mixture of wood types. It is all split and should fit and burn well in my inside fireplace.
