"I have delt with a lot of bad contractors in my life and Colbyco is the absolute worst! The communication between father and son was horrible. I was supposed to work with the father and he didn't share with the son what I wanted to happen. He lives on the other side of the state and was trying to direct the project from there which was a joke. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong and two years later I'm still living with the horrible work that they did. If you don't have any idea about what you want and leave everything in their hands then fine, but if you want something custom, to your own specifications, forget it. They will do whatever they want and won't fix it later. Run, Run, Run away from this company!"

"We went with Dave Rydman, Rydman Enterprises, even though his bid was not the lowest because we prefer to support local businesses. Dave is very personable but there were too many problems with our bath remodel. When we gave him the project, he said he liked to **under promise and over perform** but the opposite was true. A job that was bid with an estimated start date being the 2nd week of June with finish the 1st week of July did not even get started until late June and was not completed until August 2nd. This even though in late May after meeting with Dave and accepting his bid, we had rushed down to the materials place to meet with the gal there and pick out the needed materials; we had also done as requested and bought the towel bars, grab bars, cabinet hardware and light fixtures which were listed as **owner supplied** by Dave, (which surprised me considering the amount of his bid) . The job was bid with a Kohler tub which apparently was not available, so we had to settle for an American Standard which was new but looks like a 20 year old tub with a definite ring around the bottom (possibly caused by his sub contractors), with no reduction in the price of the project. In fact, Dave actually made us pay an extra $75 over the bid price because I picked a square sink rather than a round one for the vanity. The shower plumbing fixtures brought and installed by the plumber were the right finish but not the style we had picked out and the handle was not installed correctly; Dave seemed unwilling to have his sub come back to make it right, so we are living with it. We felt throughout the project that Dave was distracted (probably by a bigger and/or more important -to him- job than ours was)."

The quality of work was so terrible that it was clear the crew provided did not know the first thing about installing windows. We were upfront with every issue as it came up but by the end, we had repeated the same issue many times and it was still not correctly addressed. We had the same problems throughout the entire project and the crew never corrected their process. The extensive amount of issues meant the project took a month longer than planned and our residents were bothered unnecessarily and repeatedly. The crew also was disrespectful of the tenants and the property. We now have crooked windows, screens that do not properly function, damage to interior surrounds, horrible caulking, and upset tenants. "
