+ 0 moreRick and Don were amazing. they responded to calls quickly and were able to come out relatively soon. I had an issue with the water heater a few days after install and rick answered the call and gave me great information moving forward to fix the issue. When installing a gas line Don knew my wife and I were fairly desperate for it to be installed and was unstoppable in his efforts to achieve that goal for us. I've used cascadia plumbing 3 times in total now and would call them first, recommend them to family and friends, and trust their judgment. Amazing caring and genuine people to work with.

Description of Work: CALLED TALKED TO RICK ABOUT INSTALLING A GAS LINE FOR A FIRE PIT. HE DID NOT HAVE THE TIME( I NEEDED IT TO BE DONE THE SAME DAY I CALLED HIM). + -1 moreAll in all, it was not an unpleasant experience. Rick cleaned up after himself every night and I was "allowed" to have running water for the night. So, I was happy about that. He arrived to the residence in a timely fashion and worked straight through (without any lunch) until his quitting time around 4:30 p.m.. I enjoyed his company. As stated before, I felt that I could trust him and that has not changed throughout the course of the entire project. In fact, he gave me valuable contact information regarding maintenance of the house with other contractors which I truly appreciated. This is my second encounter with Rick. A couple of years back, he had installed a new garbage disposal (after the old one clunked out) and new innards for a toilet.
Description of Work: What started out to be a leak in the toilet (possible crack) or around the toilet turned out that the copper piping needed to be replaced. After a new toilet was installed and the water turned on, then it was noted there was water gushing out of the copper piping where it had been soldered in two places (after opening the ceiling and discovering the leak). After some soul searching, I decided to re-pipe the house. In some places, it was quite obvious that the pipes needed to be replaced and I am sure in other places it was okay. All in all, I am glad that I decided to re-pipe. There was a delay in the project being completed due to the fact when the house was built the routing of the pipes were placed behind the furnace. Rick had to coordinate his time with the furnace man so that the Rick could inspect the piping. When the first appointment was scheduled, we had the ice storm. Then another date was scheduled. That was kept by both parties. Rick replaced the old with the new. Also in this project, he also replaced the old laundry tub in the laundry room, put new innards into the toilet located in the laundry room and a new shower head in the main bedroom shower stall.

+ -1 moreWe had a leaky outdoor faucet. I made an appointment on Wednesday for today. He showed up right on time. At first he tried the easiest solution of tightening a nut. When that didn't work, he replaced the whole faucet. The work was done quickly and the charges were reasonable. He volunteered the the Angie's List discount. We will use Cascadia again when we need plumbing work.

+ -1 moreRick came promptly in response to my request, arriving when he said he would. He protected the floor and worked quickly to make the repairs. He was pleasant and professional and he gave helpful advice to me for dealing with existing plumbing in a 100 year old house.
Description of Work: Rick repaired a leaking bathroom basin drain. He improved the rusty bottom of the 100 year-old sink and installed a new drain tube; he managed to get good seals even though the in-wall pipe is slightly misaligned with the basin.

He called the next day just like he said he would and was extremely professional and quick in replacing the pipe. Was very happy with the work he did and the professionalism. Will be calling again when I want to add a bathroom.

+ -1 moreThe pull out spray feature on the old faucet was broken and leaking. I purchased a replacement part but the faucet required a snap on part rather than a threaded one. I decided to replace the faucet rather than cancelling the service call and having to search for a new part. I prefer the new faucet to the one replaced and was very happy with the job.

Description of Work: Contacted this plumber on his cell, told me he was busy on a job and to call right back and he'd let it go to voice mail for details and he'd call me back that day. I called back and left a detailed message regarding the work I needed. Two days passed, no call back, so I called him again and left message that I was disappointed he had not returned my call. He called me right back and apologized, asked me for my contact information and told me he was headed to Colton for a job that day. He said his wife scheduled all appointments and that she would contact me that day with a time and day for service. No call from his wife, and waiting two more days I contacted another plumber. Terrible customer service.

+ -1 moreMy property manager called me to tell me that the city water works folks called to say that the water usage at one of my duplex was four times normal again. This problem is a re-occurrence of what was reported last year. No problem could be found then, so the matter was dropped. I went out right away and found that water was flowing but not into the unit. I checked Angie's List for a plumbing company in the area. Cascadia Plumbing was just a mile or so from the duplex and had numerous positive reviews. I called and talked with Rick Tarsia. We met at the duplex Tuesday morning to discuss and he had the job done Friday, awaiting approval by the inspector the following Tuesday. Inspection approved and Rick completed close-up the next morning. Rick was very professional and did a great job communicating with the tenants. He had been able to find the outside shutoff valves were attempts by me and other plumbing folks had failed to location. Turned out that they were covered over by dirt and grass. I was very please how quickly Rick was ready to do the job. He had all but the close-up done in a day with only a couple of hours with the water off. Well done, Rick!
Description of Work: Replaced the water supply lines to each unit of the duplex. The company used a boring machine rather than a trenching machine to minimized any above ground disturbance. Replaced shutoff valves at the building.

+ 0 moreI contacted Rick on a Thursday after my parents manufactured home water heater cracked and busted. Rick picked up the phone and told me that he would need to come out and look at the set up before giving me a price. He also told me he would be available to do this the next day, as well as install the water heater, if we chose to go with him. Due to extenuating circumstances, my parents were not ready for the installation until Monday. I called Rick on Sunday, he returned my call right away and told me he needed to make some calls to make sure he could do the job on Monday. He called me back promptly , still on Sunday, to confirm he could do it. He also went over to my parents place on Sunday to check over the equipment and give me a firm quote. We agreed and his assistant Neil came and installed the water heater promptly and professionally. The price was in line with 3 other companies I called and the service was outstanding. Thanks Rick for being so responsive to our needs. Sometimes that is even more important than the price.

Rick worked around my schedule, which was great. Neil, the plumber, was on time, friendly, clean, and did a great job. I will totally use them again, as I have an old house with original pipes. They were great.

+ -1 moreI noticed that my last water bill was 50% more than usual and it turned out that I had a leak in the pipe going from my meter to the house. I sought several estimates for a main line replacement. Cascadia had a very competitive bid giving both an Angie's list discount and cash discount. They showed up for the work as advertised and a little early, which was refreshing. They dug out a hole near the water meter and then bored into the basement with a machine. No unsightly trench. They replaced the pipe with new plastic pipe and connected everything up to the house. I had to do some drywalling, but that was agreed upon beforehand. They were very considerate of the fact that we had a newborn in the house and were very understanding with noise. They did everything we agreed upon and cleaned up fully with no mess. We could not have been happier with the job that was performed. Rick called several times after the job to check up on things and to see if the inspection had been done yet. Rick even took the time to look at adding a gas line at a later date. We were very impressed with Cascadia and will definitely use them again for all plumbing needs.
