They came out and fixed a clogged drain and put a camera down the pipes, they then sent me an estimate on the work that needed to be done. They did an excellent job.

We called on Friday but they were booked solid however had time on Saturday. It took maybe 10 minutes for him to clear the drain. We inquired about videotaping the sewer line to the street and having the drains power jetted. He was totally honest and said with the age of the house, that would not be necessary. He checked the clean-out drain outside and said it was fine. We so appreciate his honesty and would definitely use Apollo again. His honesty sold me over!

Replaced the 25 year old on/off valve under the toilet and sink.

The first individual sent out on Thursday 12/26/2013 noted the leak location (properly located by American Leak Detection) and said they charge $159 per hour and parts. He expressed enthusiasm to be back at 9am the next morning to start the work. The next morning, the company called to say that that plumber was sick and a new plumber needed to come out and inspect (Victor). He came about 10 am on Friday morning and said he had an excavation crew ready, but they would not be able to start until they had an official bid written up and sent to us via email. The main office finally got back with to us with a verbal bid/estimate of $4,375 for the job with 50% needed up front to begin the work. The written/bid itemized estimate was never sent to us, in spite of a call wondering where it was. We were assured it would come in "5 or 10 minutes because the supervisor needed to sign off on it". They said the crew would be at our house between noon and 2 pm to begin work. The bid was never sent, the crew never showed up. I then called DeTemple plumbing and got in touch with a very professional estimator. He quoted us $106/hr and parts. I called Apollo at 2:30 pm and told them to cancel the crew (they had still not arrived). The repairs are being made in a professional manner with DeTemple with a single plumber doing all of the digging and repair and will come in at less than $500. Be very careful of Apollo - perhaps they are under new management? Clearly something is wrong.

Professional dispatch service. Apollo provided same day service on a Sunday! Thought we had one clog where lines converged but actually had separate clogs. They took care of both clogs in a timely manner. Great service.

I received a letter from the City requiring a change in my sewer hook up. Apollo was listed as a provider of this type of service. I read the great reviews on Angie's list and checked out their individual website. I sent an e-mail but never heard back from them.

IT WAS AWFUL. I will never use them again. I called at 11:30pm on the 8th when my main water line broke and they told me they were all booked up and that I would be put on a list for the next day. 24 hrs service not true. I was put on a list however I called the next moring to make sure. They had all my information and told me they would call me back with in a couple of hours and let me know how it was looking to get my leak repaired. They never called me back. I called again around 11ish and they said that they had me scheduled for 1-3pm and that they were showing it to be a clogg. I said no and they changed the status to emergency. Locate came out and marked my yard, but by 3pm no one was here. I called again and they said that someone was still coming out. At this time i have not had water for over 10 hrs. At 4pm a person comes out digs up my front yard trys to fix it and at 4:45pm he says he can not fix it and says someone else is coming out. who was only on Fourth Plain. So at 5:30pm I again call to see where they are and they say they are still coming but cant tell me when. I than asked if I will be charged after hours rates even though they started at 4pm and they said yes. I was appalled and hung up. I called back after contacting another plumber. When I called a anwsering service answered and their lines kept cutting out and she hung up. I was so irratated that I called back told her not to send anyone esle to my house that i would have someone else fix it. I asked her is they were having problems with their phone her response yes. No Im sorry. I told her i wanted to settle my bill and she told me I would have to call accounting in the morning. I said ok and hung up. I called anothe plumber and with in two hours they had fixed my leak and i was back in business So at 9:30pm someone from your company shows up saying he was not evern aware that the ticket had been cancelled. I have to get my whole water line replaced and you guys have lost the business. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE SERVICE. You need to fix the commpuunication prolblems and be up front and honest with your customers. Like I said you may be top rated but your service sucks and I will never use you again!!!!!

Replace sewer line from basement to city sewer in the street.

Yesterday we scheduled an appt for Apollo to come out. They said they would be out between ten and twelve pm and would call a half hour before they arrived. They called and left a message for a return call. My husband called back FOUR MINUTES later and was told because he didn't answer the phone they sent the plumber to someone else's house. They then said the plumber would be out between 2 and 4. At 4 they called and said they could not come today as people had more pressing issues. They rescheduled for this morning between 10 and 11. And we told them we would be here and they did not have to call and confirm they said they required the customer to answer the phone or they send them to other calls. This morning no call and they have yet to arrive and it's after 11. If the policy is the customer has to verify they are there when they scheduled the appt this should be made clear so someone can take their phone with them wherever they go. It's incredibly unprofessional.

Excellent professional AND friendly communication. They did fast and knowledgeable work. Both Rudy and Sage went beyond the call....explaining what issues flat drain lines can have, and how to lessen problems in the future. Showed up on time, did an estimate and did a great job. Cleaning up after completion.

The first two tasks were relatively easy. Trying to get the filters off the Reverse Osmosis unit was challenging and took more tools and time than we thought it would require. Ryan was not a quitter and kept at it, with my assistance. After reinstalling the filters the tank did not want to begin filling. More anguish trying many options....Different filters, clearing hoses, pumping air into the tank to 5 PSI. Ryan finally had to leave on an emergency call but I had a feeling it was going to work. Lo and behold, by morning the tank actually filled and the system was working. I called Apollo Drain to have them let Ryan know this. I have used Apollo Drain twice in past and am very pleased with their service technicians. They are caring and thorough. Thankfully, [Member name removed]

They were delayed because the plumber that was supposed to be at my house was called back by his previous job due to another problem they discovered. So the dispatcher called me to let me know that they were dispatching another plumber because it was unknown when the original man would be able to be at my house. The other man arrived very soon after the dispatcher had called, and he had the drain unclogged within 15 minutes of his arrival. He also showed me how to remove the stoppers from my sink drains in the bathroom should I ever need to clear hair out of them. He was very courteous and I was happy with the end result.

The interaction with representatives from the company was fine; we decided to go with another company instead.

We loved him and he did a wonderful job. He was very prompt, nice, and quick. He was real helpful for another thing we needed done. When we call back we are going to get the same person. We really liked him.

The person I spoke to on the phone was generally helpful but we would have had to pay for another sewer scope for this company to give a bid for repair work (so they would know distances and depths for the sewer line). We decided to go with the company who did the original sewer scoping.

I did write a full review at the time of service, but it has somehow disappeared. What follows is my reconstruction of events. Apollo gave the lowest bid for our necessary sewer project, by many thousands of dollars. They received good enough reviews here on Angie's List, so we went for it. It wasn't long, however, before we realized they have communications problems. Their receptionists/office managers are VERY NICE, and always seem quite ready to help when you reach them. However, response time is absolutely abysmal in most cases. This points to an understaffing issue in the office, I'd think, which needs to be remedied. Anyway - they set a date for the work, arrived and finished on time, despite running into some difficulties with the work itself. They were simultaneously working on a neighbor's property (the party sewer "guest", we were the "host") and were having troubles there, too, but still managed to get the work done promptly. They left a h*** of a mess, however. It WAS muddy, cold and cramped conditions. However, my side yard was left quite ripped up, and my neighbor's side yard was destroyed to the point that he had to replace an entire part of his lawn as well as remove a broken sidewalk. Their subcontractor who did the concrete they had to replace on the regular sidewalk did a terrible job, leaving waste water in pools and all kinds of business. The quality of the sewer work seems fine (no problems yet). I contacted them to resolve issues after the work was done. This included some paperwork irregularities as well as the side yard issue and the state of the concrete. Response time was extremely slow, and often confused (people not knowing what was going on with my case, and so on). They did eventually fix the side yard on my house, but my neighbor's problems would continue for several months after the work was done including threatened legal action. Most recently (just this month) they finally fixed the concrete out front. The concrete had been falling apart slowly in the months after the work was done. It seemed that a top layer was just separating from the concrete underneath. By June or so, this was becoming a safety hazard, and was an obvious eyesore. I contacted them by phone and email and received no response. Throughout the summer, I would contact them and try to get it resolved, with no movement, or promised movement with no follow-up. Just last month (Aug 2013) I started a complaint process about the concrete through Angie's List. The complaint process continued and was resolved. The subcontractor just came to remove the barriers for the wet concrete a few days ago. Everything looks good. I consider them to have fulfilled their part of the bargain. So, they get good marks for their price, the overall basic work itself, and the fact that they did (eventually) resolve the problems with some of the sidework. But, I cannot in good conscience give them anything more than a C because of the very long time for resolution of my complaint, the ongoing communication problems, and the fact that the sidework/subcontracter did shoddy work at first.

This was an emergency repair on the Labor Day holiday, so an extra charge was expected. We were pleasantly surprised by the fast response. Apollo arrived when they said they would and completed the work as expected.

Tim had to lower the P trap to accomodate deeper sink. While this took at least an hour extra he did not charge. We employed Apollo twice more that year, based on his good work.

We called Apollo Plumbing after finding that the hot water valve under the bathroom vanity was leaking. We also had in mind to get a quote for a re-pipe of our entire house while they were at our house. Jason was on time and went right to work replacing the leaky valve, unfortunately it wasn't the valve it was the galvanized pipe that had a small hole in it, but we didn't find that out until after Jason left. I called Apollo back and Jason came out the next day and replaced a small section of the pipe stopping the leak. He did a terrific job and was very professional. Jason also provided us an estimate for re-piping our galvanized pipe (from 1973) to include the water main from the street to the house. We have other projects we are working on , so we are hoping that the pipes hold together for a little longer before we call Apollo back to re-pipe the house!

I've used Apollo for years and always call them when I need a plumber. When Vic arrived today, I told him what my priorities were, and he did the repairs in that order, so my major worry was eliminated first. He showed us the problems as he identified them and got all of the repairs accomplished quickly and efficiently. We have a hoarding problem, so I am reluctant to allow anyone into the house and tend to procrastinate until something becomes intolerable. I have always found the people from Apollo to be tolerant and friendly and, apparently, unphased by our living conditions, which I appreciate. They also tell me how to fix things myself, which I also appreciate.

The following is the initial message sent to Apollo Drain and Plumbing vis-a-vis Angie's list: "06/11/2013 We have a drain pipe that runs from the kitchen to the interior sewer line. The pipe is underneath a concrete slab in a finished basement. We?ve had the pipe scoped with a camera a number of times when it clogs and does not drain. We have been told that there is a break in the pipe and that that section of the pipe will need to be replaced. Does your company have experience in this type of repair?" A representative of Apollo came to our house for inspection. He recommended that the drain line be video inspected before he could reinspect and consider writing an estimate. Arrangements were, then, made for a video scope which was performed on 6/21/13 by Apollo. Note that the cost of that service was the 160.00. On 7/1/13 I called their office to inquire of the status of the reinspection and was advised that their representative would get back to me to set up a date. With no response I called their office on 7/8/13 and, again, was advised that their representative would get back to me. To date I have not received a response.

They misdiagnosed the scope and failed to tell me that I was on a party line. The seller would have had to pay to replace it, if we had been informed, but when I was selling my house recently, the buyers hired another company to scope and found it. Apollo sent the guy that originally scoped it and had him rescope. He tried to deny his mistake, criticizing the scope from the other company. He had to reluctantly admit that he had missed the fact that the line went way over into the neighbor's property. Later, the company admitted that I was on a party line and that they misdiagnosed the scope originally. Because of their mistake, I had to pay to put in a new line. They only offered only to refund the $200 scope fee and then offered a discount on doing the job.

They were great. I just have them come out yesterday to clear the drain. You have to pay them by the hour and it took them just an hour. He did the drain and made sure it was clear. He did a good job and he was very professional.
