Skookum Plumbing

Once we got on the same page with regard to scheduling, they were able to resolve the problem.

We worked with Skookum under their previous name Reliant to re-plumb our entire home and a bath and kitchen remodel. The experience with Reliant was not totally smooth, but they made right on their mistakes. As a result we looked forward to working with Skookum on the remodel of our second bath and polish off remaining plumbing replacements that we deferred. Big Mistake. Everything about this was a mess, and they have only made some of it right. - They created what only could be described as a jerry-rig in our laundry room, where instead of putting the plumbing/waste lines in the wall (which was opened for this purpose) for draining, they put it all on the OUTSIDE. Andrew the owner had to come and redo the work. - After they redid the laundry room waste lines, our that whole area of the house smelled like raw sewage, but they would not come back to fix it because, I cannot guarantee it did not smell that way before. They were going to charge me $275 versus make it right or split. I spent over $14k with this company. I currently have a rag in the top of the waste so smell does not come out of it. - They just took the hose bib off and did not replace the piping in the wall, and it was sticking 2" off the outside wall. They had to return to re-do it. - They unhooked my HVAC venting in the crawl space to get access to plumbing and just left it there. I am having another repair person fix it now. (They did this the last time also and we had to have it repaired then as well). - They never closed out the permit. I had to call the county and I resolved the remaining few issues. - They installed my steam valve crooked and that had to be redone - The were unable to install my steam cover, due to installing it upside down. I had to deal with getting a replacement and I installed it myself. -The owner, Andrew constantly complains about how the plumbing business sucks, how he needs to get out of it and how hard it is to find good people – really not a good way to instill confidence in your customers. P.S. We were in the building industry for years, so we know the difference between the way things should be done and not. In this case though, anyone with common sense can see the problems here.

I thought i was in for trouble on Easter weekend finding a plumber to fix an emergency leak. After nearly a dozen calls with many rejections on availability I connected with Skookum. They were courteous, prompt and professional. This leak has been a recurring problem over the past five years and Andrew helped to diagnose the issue and worked quickly to fix it; permanently!.
