Mr. Handyman is a licensed general contractor that specializes in the smaller handyman type repairs, drywall, bathroom remodeling, doors and windows, assembly and installations, light electrical and plumbing, bathroom remodeling, and a variety of other tasks. Our service technicians arrive in clearly marked Mr. Handyman vans and in uniform with a variety of tools and supplies for the job. We treat you and your home with respect and clean up when we are finished. Mr. Handyman technicians are experienced with a broad skill set, so please do not hesitate to ask for help with any repair, maintenance or improvement project. Office is closed on Saturday and Sunday, however, we are available for Saturday work.
"John L. was THE BEST! In working to swap our over-oven microwave/fan for a hood vent he was tireless in being sure it was done perfectly. The original over-oven microwave install was done poorly, causing a headache in fixing the errors, yet John did not cut any corners. He also checked in about every detail to be sure we were comfortable with what was happening. He listened to our concerns about how poorly the previous fan had been working and made an extra effort to be sure the vent opened very wide for maximum venting. We also asked when booking that the technician wear a mask and John arrived and wore an N95 the whole 4 hours with no fuss. This was our first experience with Mr. Handyman and if all the other technicians are as good as John then we will be using them exclusively from now on. John is like the fix-it dad you wished lived in your same town."

Much to our surprise, they installed an unfinished door and we are now spending a week applying the various coats of stains and finishing coats to make it ready for Portland weather. When we let them know the process wasn't clear to us and we hadn't expected this last phase in the process, they brushed off our feedback and said they "only do unfinished wood doors" and we should have known."

"ClearSummit ruined my waterproof deck that has a dry space beneath. They pressure washed the the sealer and the color stain right off the deck. They could see this happening as they cleaned the deck and they did not stop! The guy that cleaned the deck said to me that he thought that that is what it was supposed to do, turn white! My deck went from a beautiful burnt orange color to WHITE! They are taking zero responsibility and have even accused me of having them clean the deck and ruin it on purpose so that I could get a free seal job. I have been their customer for years, this is really unbelievable the lack of accountability. Stay clear of this company."
