Not well. This company is substandard, negligent and greedy.

This company is as stinky as what they clean up. They took forever, over charged and left the kitchen destroyed. The communication is terrible. They only rip stuff out but did not tell us all they tore out for us to replace. Left fans on for days with no one checking on them. Didn't send us a bill for a month, then tried to put a lien on the house. Do not use this company.

After review of damage, representative assured me they would take care of the details lasting several days. His best guess was two or three days but would depend on moisture readings. At this point I was concerned about costs of course, but as a working senior citizen, I had no choice but to trust my home to them while I was at work. They took up the carpet in the closet and put in huge fans, cut holes in the closet wall to vent. They went under the house to remove water damaged insulation. When I asked if they replaced it, the technician told me they don't put new back unless I hire them to do that, didn't fill holes or restore damage done as part of restoration unless I hired them to do it. Suggested I could hire anyone to do it after everything was dry. My complaint they milked the repair to over five day, left a broken noisy blower running for several days that kept me up at night. I was very frightened that their equipment would overheat. I removed my important papers and a trunk full of photos, fully expecting a fire. On one of the afternoons in the process, the very nice technician was removing some equipment. He had propped open a screen door which had been previously broken but repaired. The screws came out and the wood disintegrated around the old repair patch. When I pointed it out to him, he said oops, did I do that? Don't worry, I'll come back and put some longer screws in it to hold it.. On the fourth day the house was so hot that I was scrambling to save my plants. When the insurance adjustor met with me on the day 5, the inside of my home registered 94 degrees. My adjustor called them to come immediately to adjust the heat and to pick up the broken blower that had been clanking for days and had finally quit working. On that final day, Restoration 1 had cut a one square foot hole in my dining room wall. This is not the room where the water damage occurred, as most of the damage had been contained to my closet. I was very distraught over the new damage and broken door. When the project representative called me to discuss the conclusion of their work, I asked about what they would do about the door and wall damage. He said they didn't do it. He tone was abrupt and not at all what I expected. I fully expected to share the repair cost with them as the door was my problem before. He was extremely condescending and sarcastic as he said "Let me get this straight, you want us to repair a previously damaged door, that was repaired poorly, and who we don't know really damaged it I don't THINK so." He went on and on, but I was so distraught that I hung up the phone. The technician on the project was very nice. The company however over billed my insurance company and a settlement had to be reached. They are billing me separately for replacing insulation under the house, which the tech said they would not or did not do. I'm a 64 year old woman. I don't relish having to go in the crawl space to see whether or not they did the replacement. I shouldn't have to but I don't trust this company or their representatives. The don't know how to communicate with clients and I have to say after reviewing what they billed to my insurance, they are not truthful. This is a plus 55 private community with 75 homes in it. Restoration 1 will not be servicing anyone here within earshot of me. While the plumber did a great job, (3 Mountains Plumbing) his call to Restoration 1 for drying my home was a big mistake. I hope they rethink their affiliation.
