Manfred showed up with samples a day after I called for an appointment. My husband chose the color quickly and Manfred took some measurements. I had the quote within two days. The quote was detailed and broken down into specific services and add ons. Very easy to understand. There was the basic demo, and replace. Then a charge for plumbing removal and reinstall. A choice of us demoing all or part of the job or them doing it. Also listed costs of other backsplash options or edging. I really appreciated the quote being broken down so we knew exactly what we were getting. We opted to do our own plumbing but had them do all the demo. We stayed with standard edging and the 5" matching quartz backsplash. I was sent a comprehensive 9 page contract that included prep instructions for us as well as what were the responsiblities of both parties. Tuesday they arrived right on time being careful to create a covered path over our hardwood floors. I liked that. Demo and template making was quick. In and out in about 1/2 hour. Unfortunately, because of late arrival of the quartz from the supplier our install date was delayed one day. But, bright and early Friday they arrived to install the beautiful counter tops. I had to go to work so my husband worked from home. He said it took them about 3hrs. I couldn't believe how the amazing transformation of our kitchen with just new counter tops. We had started with getting our cabinets extended and refaced but now I don't think they need it. I repainted and replaced appliances and now looks like a totally updated kitchen and it looks great. We could not re install the faucet or disposal for another day to let the adhesive bind. By Saturday we had a fully functioning kitchen again. (Demo Tues, install Friday, ready to use by Saturday) I am very happy with the way the counters turned out and by the service we received. I hope to use them again very soon to replace some counters in a bathroom.

The entire experience was outstanding, beginning to end. Dion the owner and his crew were easy to work with. They were all very professional and the craftsmanship and results exceeded our expectations. We are extremely happy with the outcome of the project. Every aspect from design to finish was smooth and timely. Dion did a great job of communicating with us over the course of the installation. The team was neat, efficient, and a pleasure to work with. We have every intention of contacting Dion for some future renovations. His bid was fair and reasonable. The result speaks for itself.

Prompt response once I contacted them about the job. The estimate was given pretty quickly and the follow up was prompt and though the job was delayed by a day, we were given advance notice and workmen came in on time and did the removal quickly and efficiently and came back two days later and finished up the installation very efficiently and smoothly. Dion also suggested a good drywall person to remove the drywall and reinstall stuff once the backsplash was installed. The work went off exceptionally well and we are very happy!

After we decided to pull the trigger and replace our tile counter tops with solid surface quartz, we went out and got several bids from multiple Angie's List providers. We were looking for the best mix of quality balanced with price, but most importantly, we were highly motivated to save an existing tile back splash. Quartz and Granite (Q&G) fit all these items perfectly. Manfred was our estimator, and was able to come out to our home the next day after my initial phone call. He came out with several manufacturer samples, as well as came to personally inspect the back splash to see if it would be possible to realistically save it. We picked out several samples to quote, and upon inspection, Manfred said he was pretty confident they could work to save our back splash, with the understanding there may be some damage to tiles, etc. They sent the estimate about a day later, with very competitive pricing. I also want to emphasize that Q&G were the only company we had bid that expressed any confidence that the back splash could be saved. After selecting Q&G, we worked through the contract and scheduling process. We had a couple changes we suggested to the contract language, mostly around possible damage to the back splash, etc. While they didn't agree to all our requests, they did bend on some of the language, so that flexibility was appreciated. Scheduling was about the only hiccup in the process. We were told that Q&G would typically only have customers without a working kitchen for at most two days, but we were scheduled to be down for 5 days. Most of this was due to being stretched over a weekend, but nonetheless, we would have liked that delay to have been shorter. Small price to pay. Demo of existing counter tops was done quickly one morning. Q&G was able to save the existing back splash with zero damage done, which was the absolute best case scenario for us, and we were very happy with that. Installation of the new product was also without any issues, the fit is very tight, and the surfaces are level. The cutouts were perfect. I am very pleased with the way Q&G built the support for the sink, which seemed to be a superior method to other companies processes. One nit is that I think other companies might do a little better job on seams, based on the research I did. But we are pleased with ours, we have two seams, and overall, they are good. One other thing I'll point out is that the free sink provided is actually a very good quality sink. We have been very happy with the quality, having shopped around at various brands and price points. Some companies were saying to beware the free sink, as a promo to sell the job, but the sink would end up as very cheap. Not true in this case at all. Overall great job by the Q&G crew, we were happy with the process start to finish and would definitely recommend them, as well as use them again.

Dion was very helpful during the whole project. Starting in the very beginning by answering all of my questions and concerns to explain all the different finishes and sealers on the granite. We had already looked around to find the color of granite the we wanted but had a few questions about durability and longevity that he was honest and candid about opinions which was great. He was ready to start ASAP but my project had a few weeks before it was ready. Dion was able to come out and measure on Monday and the install was on Thursday for 70SQF with and under mount sink. The install was very quick and clean and his crew was very courteous. They also cut a granite island that had a bar overhang so I could reutilize it with the old island with granite as a new bar mounted against the wall. We are very happy with the install and counters. Dion was excellent at communication, always quick to reply to our calls.. He was very patient and fully explained all types of countertops with pros and cons etc. Dion and his team installed countertops very professionally but sadly there was a problem with the quartz. We had to get reps from the supplier involved and eventually the problem was solved by their companies warranty. It was a long painful process but Dion was a great advocate for us, many times acting as the go between and assisting us in speeding up the process. He is a very honorable guy who stands by his customers. We would not hesitate in using Dion again and highly recommend him. We would however choose a different supplier of quartz.

Dion was one of the best contractors we worked with on our kitchen remodel. When I first called, he offered to meet me at the Elemar warehouse and walked with me for about two hours-explaining the different grades of granite, types of quartz, etc. once we finally decided on quartz, the entire process was very quick. He scheduled us a couple weeks out and even did installation over the weekend in order to avoid the short 4th of July week. Dion was professional, knowledgeable, and did great work. I highly recommend.

Dion did a great job and he did it within the time framework he gave us. He did the removal of the old counter-tops, made his templates and returned and installed the new counter-tops with the new sink and faucet in just three days. He was very professional.

The team at Quartz & Granite did a great job of upgrading our kitchen. Manfred (sales) visited us, showed us samples, measured, and gave us a quote. The bid was inline with our expectations and we scheduled the work. Q&G was able to send their team out the next week. On day 1 (Monday) they removed the old countertops, tile backsplash, sink, and cooktop. They did detailed measurements and constructed the template. On day 2 (Wednesday) they installed the quartz countertops and sink. On day 3 (Friday) they installed the new tile backsplash and did the final cleanup. All the work is excellent and we love the look of our new kitchen. The team was very professional and they were a pleasure to have in our home. We were especially happy with their fast response time. Our kitchen countertops were the first of several steps in redoing our kitchen. We were thrilled that they were able to get us on their schedule in less than a week. We had a hiccup with our tile backsplash. Q&G expects the customer to provide the tile, grout, and caulking for the backsplash. It took us a couple days to figure out what we wanted and where to buy it. The tile had to be shipped in, which took a couple days. We ended up receiving the tile a day late and had to delay the third day of installation from Thursday to Friday. Q&G charged us an extra fee for having to reschedule. We also had to provide the plumbing pieces to install the new sink. Not a big deal; just a quick trip to Home Depot. 'We bought a new cooktop, but Q&R does not install new appliances. They will reinstall your old appliances if you are reusing them, but they won't install new. We scheduled an appliance installation company to do the install after the countertops weredone. The three caveats above should not dissuade anyone from using Q&G. They are great at what they do. Just understand the scope of what they do (and don't do) and plan accordingly.

Dion was very helpful. He and I looked at different granite slabs to pick one that I liked. We went with a granite material that was available locally, and all work went quickly and punctually. His bid was lower than those of competing companies. I am very happy with the results.

I would highly recommended Dion Melcher and his team at Elegant Granite and Marble. Prior to choosing to work with Elegant Granite and Marble, I had met with several other companies and found them to be much higher priced and did not appear to provide the level of individualized service that I found with Dion. We have a new home, however, had some issues with the existing granite countertops. (Not installed by Dion). Upon contacting Dion, he was extremely responsive and came to our home within 1 day. Dion is extremely professional and knowledgeable and had great insight and ideas to share about what would work best in our kitchen. Following our initial meeting, Dion recommended that I meet with him to tour some of the granite warehouses in order to have a clear idea of all of the available options, as well as to pick out the exact slab that we would like in our house. Dion was very helpful, patient and knowledgeable throughout this process and assisted in me finding the perfect granite for our kitchen. Dion and his team were punctual and efficient throughout the 2 day demolition and installation process. They did a wonderful job removing the older countertops, which included preserving the existing backsplash. The installation was seamless and the new counter tops are simply gorgeous. If you are looking for a highly professional company that will ensure amazing craftsmanship, you will not go wrong with Elegant Granite and Marble.

Purchased a new stainless steel sink with all the right measurements to replace a porcelain cast iron sink. Naturally the opening wasn't big enough and the countertop would need to be cut on two sides to make it work and this development set the whole process back. Thank goodness that Dion saved the day! He traveled a considerable distance to fit us in the same day we called, handled the problem quickly, cleaned up, and made sure that the sink would fit with no more problems. His pricing was very competitive factoring in the time and distance involved and the "emergency" situation that he solved. Thank you Dion! I would recommend this service provider for any counter top issue!

Had two other providers out to home for estimates without any satisfaction on how to address problems with back splash due to being installed against logs (log home). Both estimators gave the estimates without the cost increase on what the installers would have to do with the problems they could not answer. Been down that road before. Called Dion Melchor countertops which I got off Angie's list. The first thing I asked him if he could send an installer with his salesman/estimator. He informed me his salesperson/estimator was one of his best installers. He came out and we talked and what I thought might be a problem was a simple fix. Their price beat both other estimates and the work was real craftsmanship and on a scale of 1 to 10, I give them an 11 in all phases of the process.

It's been a pleasure having Dion and his team fabricating and installing quartz countertops in our kitchen. They did a great job - countertops look great. After interviewing 10 fabricators we decided to go with Dion, and we glad we did. Dion is experienced, hard-working, business-oriented, and charismatic individual. Dion provided us with valuable suggestions and was flexible accommodating our schedule. We liked the price, the workmanship and a free sink. Now that the kitchen renovation is almost over, we can't wait to hire Quartz & Granite Countertops Inc. to do the countertops for our two bathrooms and laundry room upstairs.

Discussed my needs on the phone, arranged a time to meet at the property to provide estimate. He never turned up. Never heard from again.

After a horrible experience with a contractor that took our deposit and left us high and dry, I joined Angie's list to search for a contractor to install countertops. I was specific in my search and only requested top rated, recently reviewed and local businesses. I met and took estimates from two companies and ultimately chose Dion's company, Quartz & Granite Countertops, Inc. I called Dion on a Thursday and he met with my husband and myself early Saturday morning. He educated us in different types of countertops and prices. By Tuesday, Dion sent us an estimate. We made a decision on the counters and company by the following week and called Dion. Dion wanted to us to be happy with our choice so he took some extra time going over the pros and cons of the material. Dion updated our estimate based on our choice of material within a day and set up a construction date the following week. Dion's crew showed up 8:00 am sharp on Monday morning, demo'd the kitchen and created a pattern for the counters. Tuesday, they installed the counters and put up the tile, Wednesday they came back and did the plumbing and grouted the tile. Each day they showed up promptly at 8:00 and left the site cleaned up. Dion called me at work as need to go over details and any questions he had. The counters turned out beautiful and are exactly what I envisioned. I would certainly use Dion again and I highly recommend him. This is how a job should be done. I'll try to upload pictures.

Dion and his team were fantastic to work with. He was extremely receptive to our changing needs and accommodated any variance from the original proposal. They made the templates on Wednesday and did the install on Saturday. The countertops are beautiful, the cuts are exacting and precise, and we are extremely satisfied. They were very transparent with pricing which was refreshing having experienced firsthand the secretive world of wholesalers and fabricators. I will certainly recommend them to my friends and family.

Dion was timely and helpful in helping figure out the best layout of countertop.... its a bit atypical. I approved of the estimate on his first visit and he took the template measurements. He gave me an estimated delivery date and kept me posted. He and his assistant returned to install the counter top and left me with instructions on how to remove the sealant residue after it had cured. This proved to be more difficult than I had anticipated... probably would ask them to include a return visit to remove this residue if I did this type of project again. I was able to clean up the residue but took more experimenting with cleaning product/elbow grease than anticipated... perhaps because I chose a flat finish rather than a glossy finish. Overall I was pleased with my experience with this company... I appreciated working with the owner/installer being one and the same.

Dion was clear on what I should expect, set the schedule we wanted, was always on time, professional, clean and the outcome was exactly as I wanted. The design issue causing the water damage was solved and the I still have the existing backsplash I liked.

I couldn't have been more positive about my experience working with Dion. He and his staff are professional, punctual, polite, detail oriented and clean up after each visit. I met with Dion and he helped me with the process of picking out granite and advising me all along the way on our remodel. Dion is knowledgeable, personable, easy to talk to, and he gave us a very reasonable price that was lower than a couple of other bids we had gotten. He gave us a free in-depth consultation on the remodeling options with full disclosure so there were no hidden costs. After we agreed to hire him, he came back and took careful measurements. Then we went down to his warehouse to see the slabs and pick out the exact piece of granite that would be used. On the day the work was scheduled to begin, he and his crew showed up promptly and got to work. During the demolition of the old counter, we discovered we would have to reconfigure one of the electrical outlets. Luckily, he knew of an excellent electrician who was efficient and reasonably priced as well, and there was no delay in getting the work done. Dion takes great pride in his work and makes sure he and his workers do a meticulous job. We couldn't be happier with the countertops and new backsplash that he installed. We love our "new" kitchen, and we would definitely hire him again.

Dion, the owner, was incredibly responsive from the beginning. He contacted me within hours of my original inquiry and came the next day to do an estimate. We had no idea what we were doing and he patiently walked us through the process and explained what we could and couldn't do. He was happy to answer all of our stupid question and was never condescending. His bid was the lowest of the three we got and the process was the easiest of the three. He made a return trip to our house just to discuss design ideas and to answer more questions. All phone messages were returned within an hour. Dion and his crew were very efficient. The completed the demolition of the old kitchen in an hour and cleaned up spotlessly. The completed the installation the next day and, again, left the kitchen completely clean. The work is beautiful. A perfect experience.
