Mac a Wish

David was so helpful! He's knowledgeable, personable, and works with efficiency. We had a list of items we wanted him to check, plus needed help finding the best anti-virus program. He really knows Apple products! My new iPhone was delivered while he was here (pure coincidence), and he even helped set that up. I can't recommend him enough.

After a Google search my first contact with David was by phone. He was prompt and answered all of my questions professionally. After our first phone consult I know he was our guy! In person he is polite, informative, knowledgeable and fun to work with! No more tech anxiety here at Northland, I just call David :-)

Terrific! David was so friendly and smart--really a pleasure to have someone extremely savvy with computers be able to explain what was wrong and how he was fixing it in such a clear and kind manner.

David was fabulous. He not only addressed the Time Machine issue but he cleaned up both of our computers, got my internet connection to move faster and hooked up a new printer I had just received. He is very knowledgeable about computers (Macs, especially) and has several years experience in an Apple Genius Bar. I won't be calling anyone else if I need computer help.

We accomplished a lot in two hours, in spite of a couple of minor blips (I take responsibility). David is very professional, but also very personable and he has great interpersonal skills. He knows his way around Apple and systems; I particularly appreciated his wonderful patience, his awareness of technophobia or techno-anxiety without being condescending. I thought I'd have to spend a fair amount of time setting up the desktop, getting things back to "normal." But not the case at all; it was such a smooth transition it was fantastic. Thanks David for such a positive experience.

My elderly mother needed her Apple computer desktop reconfigured. It is HUGE! The biggest monitor they make if I have it right.... Anyway I brought it into the Bridgeport apple store and they set up her gmail for me. It had been with Quest - Century Link but she moved into a retirement community and they had Comcast. I didn't like the way Comcast set it up but it worked ok. Just not convenient for her because it was not what she was used to. When you're 87 you can't make too many changes! It gets to confusing for the WWII generation. We had to download and install Yosemite because her operating system was from 2009! We couldn't even get Adobe Flash anymore! The Apple store didn't have the 4 extra gigs RAM we needed for such an old computer. So, I decided to call someone to make a house call. No more "hauling" her enormous computer anywhere and no more hassles. I looked on Angie's List and most of the computer people work on personal computers, not MACs. I found Mac A Wish and David is absolutely great! Nice personality, patient, good sense of humor, on time (he beat me to Mom's apartment in the independent living facility), etc. Very capable! He taught me some applications that I didn't even know about that I can use on my Mac laptop. (I'm a boomer) The computer now has the NY Times as her home page instead of Comcast's home page. Yay! We learned how to use a voice dictation application, how to use ICloud with our photos, etc. I didn't know all this because I only got my Iphone 2 weeks ago. She doesn't hae a grandchild that can come over on a work day and do all this stuff, let alone know how to reconfigure the computer. So we called David Thiele. It was worth every dollar. Good experience - and fun! and finally we got it done.

I highly recommend David Thiele of Mac a Wish to anyone who has minimal computer knowledge. He did everything I asked quickly, and clearly explained as much as I needed or wanted to know as he went. He was patient and very pleasant, sensed my level of understanding (very low!), and took the initiative to suggest things I could do to make my computer use easier and faster. I was very satisfied with what was accomplished during David's visit; he will be my go-to computer help in the future.

David is easy to contact with email. He arrived when I was expecting him. He is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to.

David is a mensch. a great communicator, knowledgable and unflappable - even when stumped by a Verizon-originated glitch. He taught as we worked, teaching me about the printer/scanner options. His hourly fee is extremely reasonable (actually I think he should charge more for at-home services)

It went without a hitch. David was professional, kept in clear contact throughout, and was very easy to work with. I'm not a computer person, and so was a little nervous about getting the right thing, and working with a complete stranger. He made it a snap, and got my new computer up and running with all of my stuff on it, in short order. I can't recommend him highly enough - a good egg through and through. I've already recommended him to another friend, and will continue to do so. An added bonus, he's very skilled at moving between the Apple world and the regular world. David is great to work with, very personal and professional. As a former Apple Genius Bar leader, he really knows how to help you in a way that is easily understandable. I am happy to have finally found someone I can call when I'm having problems and will probably op for a couple of learning lessons so I can finally start getting more from my computer. Had acquired various Mac devices over the years: iMac, iPhone,MacBookPro and iPad, as well as two AirPort routers. Total Mac household. When everything works, it's great. Over time, problems mounted. I tried to fix things my self, with the help of Apple, but found myself just chasing my tail and never solving core problems. Called David, made an appointment for next day. Very prompt. He dealt with Apple on all password and security fix issues by knowing the right questions,. Worked through every device to optimize performance and synched everything on the iCloud so now I have one integrated system that actually works. Even seems faster and more responsive. Took two hours to do it right. Happy to get the help. Should have done it sooner. Could not have been happier with David's work and his unflappable approach. Real pro and a nice person.

I had two appointments with David, one on January 1st, and again in the middle of February. Just getting a house call on New Years Day was impressive, and critical for a job I working on. David drove out, and was able to get me up and running when I needed it most. In February I had printer problems, one of situations where you have tried everything, checking wires, rebooting, reinstalling, going over settings, and the printer just sits there, mocking you. David came out again, and managed to get it running happily in a rather short time (but with travel time and minimum charges, it was an expensive fix.) I would use him again.

I am fairly new to the Mac World, and not very compute savvy anyway. Just learned the industry software wherever I worked. Dealing with computer techs on jobs and in my personal life has often left me frustrated. No one would take the time to explain what was happening, nor actually taught me about my Mac or IPhone and their possibilities.. What he accomplishes in a short amount of time is amazing and appreciated. Don't wait until you have a problem.....call David to learn some very simple (or complex) things one can do to make your computer and IPhone work for you. You will never work with a nice guy. David is an excellent choice if you need anything done in your Mac world. He is always on time, has a fair price and knows the answers to any of my questions without hesitation. He explains everything he does and goes at the pace that works for you. I highly recommend him and his services.

David is a very smart man. He knows Apple products forward and backward. He is very well educated and has skills that reach beyond the computer basics. He can bring a holistic view to problem solving table. He is very patient, very accepting and explains what and why, but in a precise manner that doesn't waste your time or money. Would highly recommend both for his values and his knowledge and expertise. I wish him well, we can use a lot more professionals like David in this world.

David was on time, explained what the issues were with my computer, and what he would be doing to remedy the problem(s).

Dave quickly responded to an email asking about his service and schedule. He arrived exactly on time. He patiently worked through possible connection problems and reset the printer, router, and laptops. He also installed some laptop shortcuts I didn't know about. Before leaving, he also installed and demonstrated the Apple TV system I hadn't unboxed yet. Start to finish, he finished the work in an hour. All devices are linked and working well.

I was unable to make some adjustments in my mail (signatures) and David walked me through the correct procedures. I found him to be knowledgeable, and courteous.

I am so glad I found David. He arrived on time, and quickly gleaned what my concerns and issues were. As opposed to a couple of other experiences when I needed assistance , this was a highly informative and pleasant experience. Taking into consideration my needs and savvy level, he graciously and expertly took me through with him as he worked. Through his processing system he will now her able to channel my computer going forward which is a great customer service feature.
