It was an excellent experience. The owner gave us our bid, was pleasant, to the point and suggested new ways of doing things. The price was reasonable. The owner stayed in contact and stopped by the job a couple times. The office staff was polite and efficient. The installer was fantastic. We recommend requesting him. His name was Jeff and we will request him on a door job that we will have in the near future. The installer was punctual, never wasted time and cleaned up at the end of the job. When the job was completed he left our home spotless. Whenever entering the home he removed his shoes. He spent most of the time outdoors and left no trace of construction debris there either, just great looking windows. Both the owner and installer reacted to any concern we had and answered any question we had. I have some experience in construction and, in my opinion, they did a great job of installing the windows. Should one ever leak it will not be due to their installation. I have already recommended them to family and neighbors and one neighbor has signed up a job with them. We will deal with them again.

Tried to make an appointment to get my glass window replaced and was told they were to backed logged and could not take the appointment.

Door the installer did a great job, he was punctual and conscientious, a good craftsman.

We obtained bids from 6 window installation companies and ultimately decided to go with Johnson Home Improvement because of price, installation process, reviews from Angie's List, and overall comfort with the presentation and bid by owner, Glenn Johnson. We are extremely happy with our choice. Darrell installed our windows and did an exceptional job. His professional demeanor, punctuality, attention to detail, and excellent craftsmanship made the entire process a pleasant experience. Darrell took care of everything including blind removal and reinstallation and cleaned up the work area everyday. The installation from start to finish took 7 working days because he worked alone, but I believe this allowed for the exceptional work. This included pre-painting the trim and then caulking and giving the trim another coat of paint after installation. When the job was finished I had nothing to do (i.e. no painting) but sit back and admire the result. As a last step Darrell carefully washed the windows inside and out and inspected the glass for any manufacturing defects. He detected some small scratches on 3 windows and contacted the manufacturer, Milgard, who promptly set up an appointment and came out and replaced the glass in all 3 windows at no charge because of the lifetime warranty.

Jeff the contractor was knowledgeable and personable. He kept us up to date on his progress and timing on one project.

I requested an estimate to what I thought was a leaking glazing issue and they wouldn't bother to come out. When I finally had someone come out, it turned out that all the windows were improperly installed and I had $900 worth of work. I didn't mind paying $900 for well-done job, but this repair person wouldn't even come out to look at it.

I am looking for repairs for 2 Milgard windows that I believe need springs or balancers. I also have one window that the seal is broken. I was referred to L&M Glass in Oregon City for the window with the broken seal and advised that Johnson does not do repairs - only replace or install new.

They were very prompt, very honest, and I got a quote for one window right away, and some recommendations, on how to get rid of the problem.

I contacted Johnson HI as I needed information about fixing existing Milgard windows. I had two unsuccessful attempts with other companies and was not expecting much. Boy was I wrong. Arlene helped me with my problem and I was thrilled to have my windows in working order again within a few days (even after ordering parts). I am currently using them again for other window problems. Very professional.

I contacted Johnson Home Improvement because we had a cracked kitchen window and so considered window replacements. Glenn arrived on time and was professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable regarding windows. He took all the necessary measurements and we were provided with our proposal via e-mail the following Monday, as well as a hard copy in the mail a few days later. Glenn took less than 45 minutes of our time, but we did not feel rushed and he answered all of our questions. Unfortunately, we decided that window replacements was not the direction we wanted to go at this time, opting to replace the glass of the broken window instead. However, based on our meeting with Glenn alone, I would not hesitate to recommend Johnson Home Improvement.

They provided an over the phone estimate in a very timely manner and then came out to take an official measurement and their official estimate was right in line with what they quoted over the phone. The window they replaced was 1/2 of a horizontal slider so they had to match the spacers that were in between the 2 panes on the adjacent undamaged side. We paid them a 50% deposit up front and they said it would take 2-3 week for the window to arrive. They called in 2 weeks and scheduled an installation date that worked with our schedule and the installer was very professional and friendly. As it turns out, there was a small scratch in the newly installed window and while it was barely noticeable, the installer pointed it out to us and told us he was going to order a new one and would replace it at no additional charge. We were very impressed by this as I have no doubt many companies would have either not noticed the scratch or would have just left it and not said anything. When the second window arrived we again scheduled a mutually beneficial time and they arrived as scheduled and promptly replaced the scratched window. We had a very small project but Johnson made us feel like we were important to them anyway and we could not be happier with the service we received. We would definitely highly recommend highly recommend Johnson to anyone with window needs.

The work went very well. Jeff arrived on time, and at my request, started working on the upper patio door first. It was going to be very hot in the following days, and I wanted to be able to close up the upper part of the house and use the A/C. No problem. He found more dry rot and we both worked to replace it. We had to pull up the carpet, replace some of the sub floor and under layment next to the door. Next day, he installed the 2 new windows. The last day, he working on installing the new patio door in the lower part of the house. More dry rot under the door, (aluminum frame door suck!) So, again, we both worked on replacing the bad sections, using some wood I had at my house. They are very easy to work with, do SUPERB work, and are reasonably priced. You just can't beat that! I am a retired engineer and i don't give out superlative ratings very often.

Peter came on the first day and installed the dining room window , the large front window was delayed at the factory do to having to be sent back had a scratch. So the next day he installed the Patio door and finished it the next day.we had to wait for the garden window because the factory didn't make it was larger than usual. So the large window went in next. and the garden window last.. Peter was very professional and worked hard in the hot weather He was precise and finished each window beautifully.

Overall everything went well and their price was reasonable.

Glenn Johnson the owner accurately measured door and windows and provided detailed description of job. Darrel the installer was a master craftsman who took great care and pride in his work from start to finish.

Initial contact was great with an estimate provided over the phone. When Peter came to measure the window he was kind enough to remove the broken glass still in the window frame so we could remove the cardboard we had taped over the broken glass. The room would have been very dark and dreary if the cardboard had remained. The project took longer than expected - about a month - due to scheduling problems and rainy weather. Communication with the office was a bit sporadic at times but eventually everything was completed in a very professional and satisfactory manner.

This is an excellent company with an excellent owner and employees. I attended their seminar at the Milgard factory and scheduled an appointment with the owner, Glenn Johnson, to come to our home and give us an estimate to replace 8 windows. He is very professional and low key, which I really appreciated, and obviously extremely knowledgeable about windows. We were in the midst of refinancing our home, so we delayed the project for a little while. Johnson Improvement checked with us a couple of times to see where we were at and remind us about an expiring rebate and an upcoming factory price increase, but they didn't push us to proceed faster than we wanted. When we finally were at a point when we could proceed, it was just a few days before the scheduled manufacturer window price increase. Glenn made sure we made the deadline so we could get the lower price. He suggested different sash heights, some less visible screens for a couple of windows, and made other aesthetic suggestions about style of window which I appreciated. Arlene in the office was excellent about scheduling the work and keeping me informed. Darrell installed our windows, and he was wonderful. He was extremely hardworking and exact, and the windows look beautiful. He was extremely respectful, and we were very comfortable having him work here for several days. One thing that really impressed me was when he realized our downstairs windows were hardwired for an alarm system. He didn't have the exact wire he needed, and without hesitation, he went up to Home Depot to get the needed wire. Since we don't have the system hooked up, I hadn't thought to tell Glenn about the alarm system. Even though it isn't operational at the moment, Darrell took great care to make sure it will work when we decide to use it in the future. Several years ago, we had 16 other windows replaced by another company which is highly rated on Angie's list. They did a good job too, but I'm happy we worked with Johnson Home Improvement this time. Another thing they did very well was sending me the application for our Energy Trust rebate the same day they received my final payment.

Johnson Home Improvement were excellent. The owner came out and did the initial review. They were affordable and the service installer was excellent and the back office staff was excellent. They were very prompt and professional, I appreciated that after the windows were installed, they sent me information for energy trust refunds.

It went fantastic - see above. Everyone associated with this job was on time, polite, respected out home like it was their own.

Work was done timely by a conscientious and accommodating crew that was a pleasure to work with.

I learned of this company through a complimentary seminar on windows sponsored by Milguard. Glen was very knowledgeable and professional. When he estimated my project, he provided information and options that other companies did not. His bid was very competitive. The work was done on time, the quality was great, and the installer was meticulous in the installing and clean up.

I made an appointment and the owner, Glenn Johnson came over and explained the different window types for my mom's condo. He was very thorough with measurements and discovered a discrepency with the outside vertical boards and the actual window size. He came up with a solution without having to cut into the 2x6's. Daryl put in the windows and did an excellent job. They made sure she had all the paperwork to get the appropriate rebates and energy credits. I would use them again when I myself need new windows.

Glenn, Arlene, Darrell, very professional, timely, easy to communicate with, felt they were on my side. Would definitely recommend.
